While I won’t say I fell off the wagon this week, I will admit that it was a hard week. I gave in a few times and had treats with the kids that probably I should have passed on, and with traveling a portion of the week for workshop classes I missed exercising numerous days. Oh and while we are racking up excuses the biggest is probably the dreaded stomach bug that hit our house… after three days of it with numerous folks down my will power was a little shot.
Okay enough with the excuses. I’m dusting myself off and getting back on the wagon.
I didn’t lose any weight this week, though I didn’t gain any either if we want to look for positives.
Next week the Southern Savers Dietbet closes and I’ve still got 1/2 lb to lose to be able to win back my money. This is one bet I’m not losing, so I’m mapping out my plan of action (literally) for the week and planning on being the portion measuring and tracking queen.
My workout plan this week:
- C25K running (we just hit week 3) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday
- Workout with weights and 10 minutes of cardio Tuesday and Thursday
- Saturday a hike and camping with 40+ girls for our AHG troop (that has to burn calories right??)
- At least (2) 5 minute Sworkit workouts on abs and arms each day (a great free app).
Accountability is key for me in everything. I am training with my 11 year olds for a 5K coming up and them getting up and and ready to run makes me not be able to back out. Having lots of friends in MyFitnessPal also helps me. If you need that too, feel free to send me a friend request to @SouthernSavers or click here to join myfitnesspal (it’s free).
Gonna get personal and just put this out there rather than sharing each week random pounds lost or gained. It’s just more real to put it on the line and share how much you weigh…
Starting Weight (5 weeks ago): 202
Current Weight: 188
Goal Weight: 170
Yeah seeing that typed out makes it feel wonderful actually. If you told me 6 weeks ago, before I started, that I would be down 14 lbs I don’t think I would have believed you. I’ve always been one for saying I wanted to lose weight and that “I’d start tomorrow”. Even though this was a no loss week, I’m still pretty pleased with the progress.
Here’s to a great week ahead!
P.S. My favorite drink that’s 5 calories per can is BOGO next week, thanks for helping me out Publix.
