If you are looking for something to help keep the real meaning of Christmas you have to check out Truthcards. There are 52 cards with scripture verses on one side and a picture on the other side. They are awesome flashcards for kids, but they also serve as great reminders for adults!

Proverbs 22:6 train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he won’t depart from it.
My life verse is Jer. 29:11 ~ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
This reminds me that God has bigger plans for me and all of my daily struggles are trivial. This is not what He has planned for me….just a minor bump along the road to a bright future.
How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! ~1 John 3:1
The virtuous woman from Proverbs 31:10-31. This is the woman I’m trying to become; the woman whose husband doesn’t need/want to go elsewhere; faithful; skillful; strong; giving; never lacking; and on, and on, and on!
“My grace is all you need. My power is strongest when you are weak.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
One of the other translations says “My grace is sufficient for thee”, which I love.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.
Above all else guard your heart for it is the wellspring of life Prov 4:23 (or so many other proverbs!)
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things thru Christ who give me strength.
Psalm 118:8 It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in man.

Isaiah 41:10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee; be not dismayed; for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
I know that its very common, but I love Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”. I live by this scripture daily. It helps me gather the courage to stand up for whats right and take the steps needed to walk in my purpose and make positive changes in my life as well as others…even if it means I have to stand alone. The plan is for me to do the possible and allow God to do the impossible (my personal agreement with Him-Jesus Christ/God)

1 thess 4:11-12 “aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you, 12 that you may walk properly toward those who are outside, and that you may lack nothing.” I have tried to make this my daily goal at work. It is so hard to be surrounded by the world at work everyday. Gossip is everywhere. Idleness is everywhere. I have this verse taped right before my face! Minding my own business and doing my work as I should.
As a busy mom – the verse I have to remember is Psalm 46:10 – Be still and know that I am God. It helps me to keep my focus where it needs to be..on Him.

This time of year many of us volunteer more and this is a good reminder.
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. 10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

When I get all caught up in things, (trying to please myself) this verse pops into my head reminding me that if I want to be like Jesus I must deny myself and do the things which please my Heavenly Father. Then I can find true pleasure in life. Jesus responded to the Jews in John 8:29 He that sent me is with me:the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him.
For the LORD is righteous, He loves righteousness; The upright will behold His face. (Psalm 11:7 NASB)

Every year during this time we would have a Hallelujah night at my church. In return for reciting verses, children could get tickets to plays games, in turn winning candy and other prizes. My most favorite verse during that festival was:

Philippians 4:13 tells me “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” It’s to the point, powerful, and blunt. And that’s just what I need to hear sometimes when God wants me to square my shoulders, sit up straight and then let Him take over! It tells me who I am in Him. RL

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

This is the verse we used in our wedding. We wanted something different but meaningful. My favorite is the last verse…love one another as I have loved you. Imagine how much more wonderful our world we be if everyone followed this commandment.

This is the first verse we’ve taught our 3 and 2 year old and it is wonderful it hear them tell me why they should obey. We try to teach them verses on a regular basis and this would be an awesome teaching tool!

After all he knows our every need before we ask HIM!

A verse I’ve been meditating on lately.
Matthew 14:6 – Jesus says I am the way, the truth, and the light. No one comes to the father except through me.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew 6:34
I need to try very hard to live by this verse, but I have a big problem only worrying about today!
Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. Matthew 6:33-34
My husband’s favorite is first one and mine is second. These verses are important to us because we are always so busy and it reminds us to keep our priorities straight and live in the here and now. God’s got it all under control.
My favorite verse is Proverbs 31:10. The love of a good woman is more precious than rubies. When my husband proposed, he gave me a beautiful ruby ring with diamonds on either side of the ruby. It’s so hard to post 1 favorite. I love Romans 12, the whole chapter. As I desire to be closer to the Lord, it is this verse that lets me know I am a new fresh creature that God truly loves and desires a relationship with.

WOW! What a blessing to read through all these precious Scriptures tonight. Thank you for posting, everyone! I share some of the same favorites with some of you… Proverbs 3: 5,6 and Romans 8:38, 39. I love this passage too–1 Thessalonians 4:16, 17…. “For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will forever be with the Lord.”
