There are lots of places to make a wedding registry, whether through a particular store or through what is known as a “universal registry,” meaning you can add items from any website or store. One thing to consider is the kind of incentives different places offer for both creating a registry and sometimes having certain items bought off of your registry. It’s also good to look at the return policy on items from the registry.
Top Wedding Registry Incentives
Many stores offer extra freebies and incentives when you register. There are freebies for registering for certain products and special incentives for completion that stores and vendors partner up for. Free gifts are sent to you from the vendor after a gift redemption form is mailed in by the couple who registered. It takes a little extra work, but the forms aren’t very long and some of the gifts are well worth it.
Almost all of the major places to get a registry will give you a percentage coupon off items that aren’t purchased on your registry. For example, let’s say you do receive many items off your registry but also get gift cards or cash gifts. You could use that money along with the coupon to get any other items that you really need.
I’ve looked all over and found the top wedding registry websites and then looked through to list all the wedding registry incentives. Think about what matters to you and figure out which one will work best!
Amazon Wedding Registry
Amazon is a great place to start simply due to the number of items they have. You can also add links to items from other places. They offer a 20% off coupon for any items that remain on your registry after your wedding and also give an option for group gifting. They have a 180-day return policy and offer free shipping for Prime members and free shipping over $25 for non-Prime members.
Anthropologie
The only registry perk that Anthropologie offers is a 15% coupon for any remaining items on your registry. However, if this is your style and you don’t need a lot of things, it could be a good option.
Bed Bath and Beyond
Bed, Bath, and Beyond is another great option because they have a year-long return policy! They also offer a 20% coupon on remaining items as well as group gifting and free shipping.
Belk Department Store
Belk has a 15% coupon for remaining items and a 6-month return policy. They also offer Registry rebates from certain vendors, which means if certain items or a certain amoutn of certain brands are purchased, you can receive free gifts.
Bloomingdales
Bloomingdales offers a 20% coupon on remaining items on your registry and also has has Registry rebates from certain vendors.
Crate and Barrel
Crate and Barrel has a 15% coupon to complete your registry and 90-day returns. They have options for group gifting and free shipping over $49.
Dillards
Dillards only offers 30-day returns, so consider it carefully! They do offer a 20% coupon and Registry incentives from certain vendors.
The Knot
The Knot is unique because it will pull from other major retailers if you sync your registry there with them. For example, if you make a wedding page on The Knot, you can include your Bed, Bath & Beyond registry with The Knot. It also allows custom registry items and lets you link to items from anywhere online.
MyRegistry
MyRegistry is essentially a universal registry where you can link anywhere online. You can also register for cash gifts.
Pottery Barn
Pottery Barn offers a 10% coupon for remaining items and free shipping.
Target
While Target only offers a 15% completion coupon, you can return items for up to a year and shipping is free for Redcard customers!
Williams Sonoma
Williams Sonoma lets you combine items with those from Pottery Barn and west elm. They offer a 10% coupon, 90-day returns, and Registry incentives from certain vendors.
Zola
Zola is a wedding site that lets you create a universal registry that includes cash gifts. There are no fees if your guests make a cash contribution through Venmo!
