Are you still stuck on what to give Dad for Father’s Day? I raided my husband’s bookshelf for some of the books he has loved. Many of these are great for any guy, I mean what guy doesn’t love cooking over an open fire?
You’ll also find many of these titles on sale right now and they should arrive in time for Father’s Day. Have any other books we should add to the list?
Top Father’s Day Books
The MeatEater Outdoor Cookbook – $25.49 (reg. $38)
The Southerner’s Handbook $16.59
How to Grill: The Complete Illustrated Book of Barbecue Techniques $14.10
The Foxfire Book: Hog Dressing, Log Cabin Building, Mountain Crafts and Foods, Planting by the Signs, Snake Lore, Hunting Tales, Faith Healing, and Other Affairs of Plain Living $16.48
These originally came out 50 years ago, and are filled with everything you never knew you wanted to know. We have some of the original printings and they get pulled out almost every time we have people over! There are 11 books in the series, but this is the first one and a great place to start.
Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy $18.99
When my husband read this one, he stayed up all night, so I’m assuming it was good!
American Sherlock: Murder, Forensics, and the Birth of American CSI – $9.99
We are big PBS mystery fans, and love most crime series. This incorporates history and true crime together in a fascinating read.
National Geographic Guide to the National Parks of the US – $16.99
Filled with beautiful pictures and in depth information on all 62 of the United State’s National Parks, this is a book dad will enjoy looking at and reading. It’s time to start planning the next family vacation too!
1,000 Places to See Before You Die – $45.84
Going beyond just the US, this is a great idea book to get him thinking about all the things he has (or hasn’t) seen yet.
Do you have any books your husband would recommend?
