Going Nuts? I can help you understand coupon terms and abbreviations

We hit Publix this week for a few things.  There really wasn’t much that I needed or wanted on sale this week.  I also placed an order through Vitacost for a few gluten free products using the $10 credit that they give new users.  I’m also in Jacksonville tonight getting ready for a coupon workshop […]

After a few weeks of big trips, we took this week off from shopping.  We did get our Zaycon order of 40 lbs of beef, that took a couple of hours to put up so it was like going grocery shopping.  Between that order and the chicken order earlier this year, we are set for […]

This was meat week at our house.  We picked up our Zaycon foods chicken order and put up all 40 lbs of chicken (pictured above).  Then I went to Publix last night and grabbed salmon, hamburger, veggies and vitatop muffins.  You didn’t expect me to not grab those muffins did ya?? Zaycon Foods order $67.60 […]

Couponing is fun and all, but many times the things that you really need you never have a coupon for.  The biggest of those items can be meat and produce.  When you watch “lovely” TV shows about couponing you’ll notice they never buy meat, it brings down your total savings and that’s just not fun…  […]

I get asked a lot: “What about warehouse clubs?” I fight the urge to answer back with a quick “you aren’t saving anything”.  Personally I haven’t found much that makes the cost of a membership worth it.  The biggest reason being that you can’t use coupons at most warehouse clubs (BJ’s being the one exception). […]

Buying the things you need at the best price is the biggest way to save, but you can’t pass over how much more you could save if you have flexibility with what you purchase. We see most items come on sale every 6 weeks, but that doesn’t always mean your brand is one sale […]
