It’s hard to believe summer is almost over, but back to school season is upon us. For us, that means being on the go some days and also needing easy breakfast and lunch options so we can be more efficient. Whether you home school or your kids leave home for school (or a combination of both), stocking your freezer is a great way to get ahead of the game. Here are 5 freezer back to school recipes that cover a lot of bases so you can be prepared for the back to school madness.
Stock the Freezer: Freezer Back to School Recipes
For each of the recipes below, I made the shopping list based on making 10-12 servings of each one. Make sure you check that when you click on the recipe. I came up with that number thinking if you have 3 kids and use these a couple times a week, they’d last you about a month!
These are way cheaper than the kind you buy at the store and allow you to control the ingredients (especially if your kids’ school doesn’t allow nuts).
Smoothies are a great way to start the morning because they’re fast, especially if you freeze them into packs ahead of time. It’s also a great way to get some extra veggies in!
Quiches (turn them into muffins)
Make this recipe more portable (and lower carb) by skipping the pie crust and just pouring the egg mixture into a muffin tin. These can be frozen and reheated in just a minute or so!
If you make these and freeze them individually, they will thaw by lunch time for a delicious option!
These can be used for adding to a lunch, for breakfast, or for an after school snack.
