When you get invited to an outdoor picnic event or summer potluck, sometimes it can be hard to decide what to make. Very few recipes taste good at a lukewarm temperature, so you have to be intentional about what you make. We often have events like this after church and there’s no way to heat things up. So I’ve rounded up some of my favorite summer potluck recipes, which means they can stay cold and don’t need to be heated up or kept warm for serving. The only thing you want to pay attention to is the dishes that include mayonnaise, which shouldn’t sit out for more than 2 hours according to food safety guidelines.

I’ve got some main dishes as well as some side dishes and some of my favorite desserts. There’s nothing like a fresh banana cream pie in the middle of summer!
