I’m sure you’ve all heard of the Sears Personal Shopper program by now. Some of you may already be using it. Well, I thought it’d be beneficial to give you more in depth information on the process of signing up “clients.” Two great things about this program: it’s free and you can make money!
To get started:
You sign up and recruit friends and family to be your clients. One way to invite friends or family is to send them an email through your Personal Shopper account (pictured below). You’ll also receive a tiny URL that you can plug into your blog, Facebook, and Twitter for another way to get more clients.
Now you’ll make 1% commission whenever they make a purchase at Sears, Kmart, Lands End, mygofer, Craftsman, or Sears Outlet and use their Shop Your Way Rewards membership online or in-stores! This could be an easy way to earn money with no cost to you!
Shop Your Way also has a function where you can create a Shop Your Way Catalog. This is a really neat tool in several different ways. First, you can create your own catalog to help you remember the products you’d like to buy. You can also share this list with friends and family so they know what you’d like to get. Lastly, you can suggest products to friends that you think they might want. For an example I’ve created a catalog of all the items one might need for going back to school.
This would be something you could send out to the moms in your playgroup, neighbors, etc. A major theme of this program is designed to be social. When you hover over each item you can choose to like it, want it, or have it. You can interact with your friends catalogs and vice versa, but there is also the option to make it private.
As you add products to your catalog they will pop up here. Products from all the stores that are part of Shop Your Way can be included in your catalog. This might mean the end of those Christmas and birthday lists as it will all be here in one place.
If you haven’t signed up to try it out, I would encourage you to at least take a second and look. It can never hurt to get your parents and other family members at least to sign up under you, so that someone is earning a little bit of money!
