I know many of you are die-hard Aldi fans, but I want to show you that you truly can get better deals if you buy on sale at stores like Publix and use available coupons. I’m going to start showing you some of the deals at Publix each week and how they compare to the normal Aldi prices. I think you’ll be surprised and that I’ll convert you to a coupon/sales shopper if you’re not already!
Keep in mind this isn’t all of the Publix deals, or even all of the best deals. I’m intentionally picking things that would have an Aldi version. Since Aldi only sells select products you can’t really compare the entire Publix list… there just wouldn’t be an Aldi example to compare it to.
Note that prices may vary slightly in your area, and in the comparisons below, I’ve tried my best to compare unit price. The cheaper option is in bold.

Publix vs Aldi: Comparing This Week’s Deals
Publix lean pork chops: $3.49/lb vs. Aldi boneless pork chops: $4.49/lb
Publix: Oscar Mayer Franks, 14-16 oz for $1.99 vs. Aldi Parkview Uncured Beef Franks for $3.69
Publix: Hillshire Smoked Sausage, 12-14 oz for $2.99 vs. Aldi: Parkview Beef Smoked Sausage for $2.79

This one doesn’t surprise me. I don’t tend to buy meat at Publix, but instead buy it in bulk from the US Foods Chef store. If you have a similar store look into their prices for ground beef. My Chef store currently has 80% lean ground beef for $3.19 per lb.

I am a little surprised here. First that Aldi sells Perdue brand, and second that the price was so similar!
Publix: Prego Pasta Sauce for $1.39 vs. Aldi: Reggano Meat Sauce for $1.65
Publix: Peter Pan Peanut Butter for $1.70 vs. Aldi: Peanut Delight Creamy Peanut Butter for $1.99
Publix: Mueller’s Pasta for 93¢ vs. Aldi: Reggano Pasta for 98¢
Publix: Kraft Dressing for $2.49 vs. Aldi: Tuscan Garden Salad Dressing for $1.95
Since you can use coupons on the name brand, submit your Publix receipt to Fetch Rewards to get another 50¢ off at Publix. That makes the final price $1.99.

You’re already getting the lowest price at Publix, but submit your receipt to Fetch Rewards to get another 40¢ off, making this $1.09 at Publix.

We’ll call this a tie, however you’ll find way more variety/options with this sale at Publix.
