Heads up if you recently purchased a Graco Car seat. Graco is recalling 3.7 million car seats due to problems with buckles that may not unlatch properly.
They are currently not recalling any infant car seats, but do check the list just in case to make sure yours isn’t one of the ones being recalled. The recall covers (11) toddler convertible car seats sold from 2009-2013 and includes Cozy Cline, ComfortSport, Classic Ride 50, My Ride 65, My Ride with Safety Surround, My Ride 70, Size4Me 70, Smart Seat, Nautilus, Nautilus Elite, and Argos 70.
If your model does happen to be on the list, Graco will be offering a new and improved harness buckle at no extra cost. The company does want to stress this does not in any way affect the performance of the car seat or the effectiveness of the buckle to restrain the child.
If yours is not performing properly and cleaning does not improve this, contact customer service at 800-345-4109 (Monday through Friday from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m.) or through email at consumerservices@gracobaby.com.
For more information about the recall, visit the Graco Recall page.

After all the years of trying to teach people shop based only on what’s on sale, I have learned that it’s nearly impossible for most folks. I think part of it is that you love to make lists, so making a shopping list based on what you are out of just feels right. To me it feels very expensive… the odds of the items you are out of being on sale is very slim. I’ll confess though, it happens to all of us. I’ve either run out of an item, or my husband wants something for dinner that I don’t have.
No matter your reason for needing specific items, there is an easy way to save on them… the Item Search feature on Southern Savers. I’ve mentioned it a hundred times, but thought I would take a moment to actually explain some of the features.
Let’s say you want to know what store near you has the best price on butter this week. Click on the blue button on the right hand side bar (or above) and type in butter. The system will return any deal on butter that week.
Want to only see deals in your area?
Make sure you are logged in to the site and that you have updated your profile selecting the stores that you have in your area. If you don’t log in or haven’t selected stores, the returns will show any deal on butter on the 31 stores I cover on Southern Savers… you really don’t care that Texas has a great deal on butter if you live in Florida.
Your Own Pricing History
One of my favorite features of the item search is being able to search back over time. If you love a product and want to see what a good price is for that item, then put in a date back 4-6 weeks and the item search will show every sale we’ve seen in that time period. Now you are able to see what prices to look for, plus you’ll also know when it’s coming back on sale! Remember sales happen like clock work every 6 weeks for most products.
Make a Shopping List
You can make a list from all of your searches. The #1 reason to do this would be to make your own list for price matching deals at Walmart. I can type in Apples, Butter, Hamburger, brand specific or product specific searches and then save them all to the same shopping list. This is basically what I used to do for you with the Best Deals lists, except instead of me posting an insanely long list of deals you can now search for just the things you want!
