There is one thing in couponing that is ALWAYS free… toothpaste. Even paying 25¢ seems like paying retail after a while. If you are just starting out and that baffles you, then look to the drugstores. Often times there are multiple deals to grab each week that would give you a free tube of toothpaste. You don’t really need to shop at every drugstore though, there is enough free toothpaste at just one store to keep your families teeth shinning.
This week you can get a completely free tube of Colgate Total, Optic White or Max Fresh at CVS without even needing to mess with rewards back! Just walk in use your coupons and walk out paying nothing (well… you’ll owe the tax, you always owe the tax).
To get the deal, scan your CVS card at the Coupon Center in the store. You’ll get a $2.50 off store coupon.
Buy:
(1) Colgate Toothpaste at $3
Use:
-$2.50 off Colgate (CVS Coupon) from the coupon center
-.50/1 Colgate toothpaste, 3.4 oz +, SS 4/13Total Due: Nothing + tax
See all the other deals at CVS this week (like a free photo book).
This week you can grab my favorite printer for a great price at the office supply stores! The Brother HL 2240, is an entry level Black & White Laser printer that will save you a TON on ink and will make all your coupons scan perfectly in the store.
How you ask will it save a ton? Well it doesn’t have ink… it has toner. It comes with enough toner to print 500-700 sheets, and then you can get a high yield replacement cartridge for $20 that can print 1500-2000 sheets! We replace our toner about every other year.
Over the years this is the only printer I’ve ever recommended, and I know many of you have it. So if you do leave a comment so folks won’t think it’s just me being crazy. This really is a great printer.
This week you have two options:
The Brother HL-2240 is on sale for $59.99 at Office Depot/Office Max or get it’s wireless twin the HL 2270 for $99 from Amazon.
Note: The wireless version doesn’t like Macs, from personal experience.
Today only get two different magazine subscriptions for $10 total! These don’t have any auto renewal, so you are getting a year of each title for $5 with no catch!
Grab any two titles you want. Think ahead and grab something for mother’s day or father’s day. It will take a good 6-8 weeks to get your first issue, so it’s prefect timing to grab them.

Celebrate tax day at Sonic with half priced drinks and slushes all day on April 15th! If you are anything like me, you did your taxes in January just to get your refund faster… but for anyone that doesn’t get a refund maybe the drink will ease the suffering just a tad.
