cut grapes

Want to have a nice Waldorf Chicken Salad, but don’t want to mess with the hassle of cutting grapes? Here is a solution!

1. Place your grapes on a plate, then put another plate of the same size on top, with the bottom of the place touching the grapes.

2.Gently press down on the plate. Grab a serrated knife and cut the grapes all in half at one time while they are being secured by the plate.

I’ve also grabbed plastic storage container lids or anything else that has a small lip to keep the grapes from falling off the back as you cut.  In the end though you’ve cut a good 20-25 grapes in less than 30 seconds!!

This is an easy way to cut grapes or tomatoes or any small fruit, olives etc. in half!

    De Wafelbakkers

There’s a new $1 off De Wafelbakkers coupon!  It’s been at least a year since we’ve seen a new coupon from them so this is a pretty fun day for all the mom’s that like an easy breakfast.  This is our go-to frozen pancake company, not only do they taste great, but they have great flavors to pick from too.  You have to try their sweet potato and chocolate ones…

While it’s not on sale anywhere right now, we do seem them go Buy One Get One at Bi-Lo and Winn Dixie and they have just been added in most Publix stores recently so that probably means new sales as well.

Grab the coupon and wait for a deal, or just use it now and you’ll get a bag of pancakes for around $2.50.

      boa

Calling all Bank of America card holders! For a full weekend each month you can visit a participating museum for free. All you have to do is show your BoA card.

The FREE museum weekend is this weekend from July 5th to 6th. If you plan on bringing your kids remember that they probably are not card holders so be sure to check the museums prices for children before you go.

Check out a full list of the participating museums here. There are a lot scattered around the United States. Where I live there is a cool museum called EdVenture that is usually very expensive but with the free admission becomes a lot more manageable. Leave a comment if you have visited any of the museums!

        july

Guess what’s in season this month: tomatoes! You can’t beat a fresh, ripe tomato. I’m a happy camper thinking about a caprese salad and BLT sandwiches for the next few months.

Many produce items are hitting their peak right now, so it’s a great time to try that new cobbler recipe or Summer salad!
