For those who have limited transportation, live far away from stores, or who are just in a season of life where it’s hard to get out of the house, grocery delivery or shipping is a lifesaver. The question is, can you still use coupons and save money when buying your groceries this way? The answer is yes, and while you may not save as much as you would by being able to use paper coupons and shop in store, there are more and more ways to use digital coupons and other methods to make sure you’re saving money on grocery delivery and shipping.
Note: Most of these options you should still consider tipping the delivery person. Many local stores use Instacart and Doordash to deliver orders so the tip may not be integrated into your checkout through the stores system.
Saving Money on Grocery Delivery Orders
Walmart
Shop the deals and earn Walmart cash or use Ibotta offers and still get the deal with shipped or same day delivery, which are both free for Walmart+ members. All orders are free to ship for Walmart+ members or free shipping on $35+ for everyone else.
If you are interested in a grocery delivery subscription, Walmart+ is by far the best bang for your buck. Right now they are offering 50% off a year of Walmart+, making it only $49 (less than $5/month). Normal delivery fees are $9.95, so if you plan to order at least 5 times a year, you’ll break even!
Target
Almost every deal is available to shop online for delivery or pickup. You’ll get the sale items, earn gift cards, and even be able to apply Target Circle offers or Ibotta offers. Some offers you’ll find are not good on shipped orders.
If you plan to have lots of orders delivered consider signing up for Target Circle 360 and get unlimited same-day deliveries for $99 a year (without Circle360 delivery is $9.99 per order)
