The weather is finally starting to cool down in the Southeast and so I’m ready to eat food that feels like fall. I know some people eat this kind of food any time of year, but we tend to eat following the seasons. Part of that is just my preference, but it also tends to be cheaper if you’re buying in-season produce!

While it’s not quite time for us to see the pumpkins or cranberries, items like squash and apples are making an appearance, and it has me excited for all the fall flavors. For some of the recipes, you can change up what you use depending on what flavors you prefer. Use pumpkin instead of butternut squash, or white potatoes instead of sweet potatoes.
