After such a huge week last week we really didn’t need much from the store.  Just because your pantry is stocked doesn’t mean you stay home though.  Many times the deals that we see this week, we won’t see again for 6-8 weeks.  If you look over the list of deals and see a few things that are great prices that you’ll use it’s worth it to run out and grab those items rather than paying full price for them when you do “need” them later.

For us this week that meant a quick trip to Bi-Lo for soup.  There is a great deal this week on Campbell’s Soup thanks to a BOGO sale, coupons and a catalina offer that’s printing.  Buy them in increments of 7 and you’ve got soup for 57¢ a can.  I went ahead and made a shopping list with just the deals that were less than $1 (that we would use or that could be donated).

The $3 off Catalina we got back from the soup I used to help pay for the milk we needed.  There are ways to save on milk!

Bi-Lo Totals:

Total Purchase Value: $43.59
Total Spent: $20.87
Apps Back: $3

Total Saved: $25.72 or 60%

While nothing that we bought makes a meal on it’s own, this is how it’s supposed to be.  We shouldn’t shop based on need, but based on sale.  So try to get your pantry to a point that you don’t need anything and can just grab the best sales to stay stocked!
