This week has been long and hard. I know we all have them, and this one completely took me off guard. I spent the first few days of the week in California away from my crew for a conference. I kinda enjoyed the away time but it’s hard to prep the house and food to be away. I came home to a pantry that looks like locusts came and ate everything. Even canned foods we never eat are gone…
I ran out quickly to walk for deals at Publix and grab milk and fresh fruit. I know after last week I should have gone to Walmart, but you can’t break old habits. We did save a little but not much.
Publix Totals:
Total Purchased: $39.75
Total Spent: $26.19
Total Saved: $13.56
I grabbed some of the BOGO cut up fruit, 3 gallons of milk, and a few other little deals.
My goal was to do a larger trip the next day, but those plans changed. Thursday afternoon I got a phone call that my sweet 95 year old grand mother died. It’s hard to take in and even write. She loved the Lord and was the only person in my life that was a believer for many many years. I know that her rejoicing right now is very great, but my heart is very heavy.
The deals will wait, we will load up the car, drive to Florida and celebrate her life this weekend and early next week.
I encourage you to hug your family and loved ones. Right now in sadness my heart is full knowing that we drove two weeks ago 14 hours to get to visit with her for 2 hours. Those were best spent hours of this year!
