We had a big shopping week this week. I hit Publix last night with just one kiddo in tow, but then decided to head to Bi-Lo tonight with all 4 girls… if my husband hadn’t met us at the store at the last minute I have no clue how we would have purchased any groceries. Figuring out a baby car set with another kid that wants to ride is impossible. So, we went with two buggies and became a train going through the store. In the end we had a good week, and would have been over budget except for a $50 visa gift card that arrived this week in the mail from a past rebate.
Publix:
Total before sales and coupons: $199.17
Total spent: $74.22
Total saved: $124.95 or 62.7%
This was a lot of BOGO deals, plus a $5 off coupon that Kroger sent us in the mail. I also grabbed pears, 2 pineapples, blueberries, carrots, a shoulder roast and 2 lbs of salmon. I had competitor coupons for the pears, carrots and $2 off meat purchase to help with the cost.
Bi-Lo:
Total before sales and coupons: $92.27
Total spent: $35.17
Total saved: $57.10
We hit the Kellogg’s instant savings deal and the Kraft cheese deal. Plus grabbed free Dawn dish soap. Lastly we scored an extra 15¢ Fuel perks stocking up on baby wipes.
Buy:
(3) Pampers Baby Wipes 72 ct., $2.99 ea.
Used:
-$1 off Pampers wipes, 60 ct. + (Target coupon), Target Baby home mailer
(3) -.50/1 Pampers wipes, excl trial size, PG 10/28
Total Due: $4.97
Earn 15¢ Fuelperks off 20 gallons of gas = $3 gas savings
That means you are basically getting wipes for 65¢ a container!! Don’t have the competitor? It still makes it $1 a package.
Weekly Total:
Before sales and coupons: $291.44
Spent: $109.39
Saved: $182.05
Having the gift card then meant that we met our budget of $50 for the week, though really we have enough groceries now for 2 weeks.
