It might be the romantic holiday gift, but I don’t know what girl wouldn’t love a swanky new hair dryer or flat iron. When I say swanky I mean it! The hair dryer is an Ionic model, meaning the whole time you dry your hair it’s showering your hair with millions of ions that strengthens your hair.
I have two awesome products to giveaway, both provided by Folica.com. They are an online store that sells everything hair care. They work to bring you the best new hair products on the market that you’re sure to love them!! Folica’s mission is: “to have fun in the pursuit of a great hair day, every day.” They even have a list of the top 10 of each product they sell, like flat irons, hair brushes, hair dryers and more! Check out their sale items (a lot of their products even have free shipping available)!
Folica sent me two products to try out for myself. I received the Solia 1875 Ionic Hair Dryer and a Solia Tourmaline Ceramic Flat Iron.
The Ionic Hairdryer is designed to make hair look healthier, shinier and feel softer by producing millions of negative ions. The ion technology gives you frizz free hair with no heat damage! It has two detachable nozzles for styling and a 9 foot power cord! The flat iron is designed to ensure perfect contact between your hair and the plates. The even heat distribution creates the silky smooth hair, The great thing about this flat iron is that you can not only straighten your hair, but you can also bend, curl, flip and spiral your hair!
I am a true girl and had both of these out of the box within minutes of getting them. I will say they are both awesome, but the hair dryer is amazing… I basically don’t even need a flat iron because it drys with out any frizz. Also the high level of the hair dryer could blow the hair off your head, so for those of you that have thick hair like me you’ll love how fast you dry your hair!
Ready to get started on your Christmas shopping? Head over to Folica.com and get 10% off + FREE shipping with the code HOLIDAYHAIR now through November 30th!

I love the John Frieda Secret Weapon cream. I get it for nearly free at CVS, thanks to you and all your very helpful couponing tips & insight :)
I soooo appreciate you!!!
I need a new hair dryer, because I burned my up. My baby goes to sleep when I run it, and because she cries a lot with colic, we started using it every night. My hair secret is with long hair, I usually dry the top thick part, and let the rest air dry; gives it a natural wavy look. Thanks.
following you on Facebook!!
i use John Frieda its my secret
An ion dryer has really helped my hair but my dryer is ancient and I know the technology has surely improved since I bought it. The real secret I have though is taking b complex everyday. Years ago I started taking it and in a few weeks I saw a real difference in my hair! If I stop taking it my hair gets thin and lifeless quickly.
I follow on Facebook!
I am following Folica & southernsavers on facebook and my secret for great hair is not to wash, use chemicals and blowdry my hair daily. Every other day is best and limit the amount of products I use on my hair!!! :)
My only secret is to wash my hair in the morning and not at night, before bed. Not such a great secret. So you can tell I really need to win this!!!
My hair secret is matching the original color as close as possible to cover the gray (which started at age 24).
My daughter uses a flat iron every day and would love to win this one for her!
I use a t-shirt of my husband’s to dry my hair, it is softer and doesn’t pull at my hair.

I have thick, frizz-prone hair, too, and I am always on the lookout for new ionic technology – I currently have a brush and hairdryer that are doing a fairly good job, but I would love, love, love to try the hairdryer you described!! I wash my hair at night so that it has time to dry before I lay down to sleep, then I work on the straightening in the morning.

I’m following on Facebook and can’t wait to try the ionic blow dryer!
After I blow dry and flat iron my hair, I Love to use the product “silk therapy” on my hair. Its adds that finishing touch and smells so good!
I’m following facebook! My secret is to blow dry and straighten my hair at night and it lays better the next day. Plus it saves a boatload of time in the morning:)
I try my best to skip washing at least three days a week, especially during the winter! The hot water of the shower is extremely drying to scalp and hair. In addition shampooing everyday will strip your hair of the natural oils that protect it. Dry shampoo goes a long way with this feat as I hate feeling dirty!
Ha! I don’t really have any hair secrets…mine is a little out of control so what you see is what you get! I would love to try these products to see if it would tame my hair a bit!
Kenra products, the best hairdresser and best friend anyone could ask for, I wash my hair every other day and try to minimize heat damage as much as possible… and use a keep a reconstructor on it atleast twice a week to help any heat damage =)) If my hair aint happy Im not happy!!
My hair secret isn’t very good…the only thing I’ve found that makes my hair awesome is Bumble and Bumble shampoos..but they’re so expensive!
I’m a fan of Southern Savers on Facebook!

I have very thick, wavy hair. My main trick is a round brush, head dried upside down and a great flat iron. Soft straigt hair even on a rainy day.
My hair secret is John Freida Frizz Ease Products. I’ve tried other lines over the years but always come back to my tried and true!
One of my fav “secrets” for hair is the sock bun to create curls
I follow Southern Savers on FB.

Make sure you are using a quality shampoo and conditioner. It may cost a little more, but you are making an investment in the health of your hair, especially if you are like me and color and highlight you hair on a regular basis.
I confess I have no hair secrets!
Coconut Protien pack and a vo5 hot oil treatment! Use a diffuser for really curly hair to get the most volume! We have 5 girls in our family and my husband has the hardest job of all sometimes!

I let my hair air dry with leave in conditioner, in a loose bun, and then take it down when it is dried. Easy wavy hair.
My hair secret is to blow dry my hair upside down some to add volume before I use my flat iron. I also only try to only wash my hair every other day.
My hair secret is simple, never do anything to damage it. I have never put any chemicals or anything harmful on my hair. I have long shiny hair and I love it!!
I wash my hair, condition, pick it out with a hair pick, and let it air dry while I put my makeup on. Then I put on some type of hair product. Could be a mousse, gel, any type of styling product. I have naturally curly hair. Then I blow dry it with a diffuser. Done.
Looking for a hair secret!! But my hairdresser is the best, knows my personality, and doesn’t try anything funky on me.
My hair secret is to switch my part up that way it does not have that flat look.
Blow dry your hair up side down to get more volume near your roots.
I get email updates. I wear my hair in a bun 99% of the time because nothing gets rid of the frizz … a blow dryer and straightener that eliminate that would change my hair routine dramatically!
No great hair secrets. Just try to use good shampoo and conditioner. I have tons of products but none of them seem to give me the eva longoria hair like I dream of.
hair secret keep ends well moisturized, never allow them to be dry
I get daily emails from foilca and southern savers
My hair secret is to not wash your hair every day. It dries your scalp and hair out too much. My styles usually look better a day after I wash my hair.
Tresemme heat tamer is my hair secret. Spraying this on my hair before drying or using the flat iron helps tame the flyaways!
I am a FB follower of Southern Savers and Folica!
My hair secret is Goody rollers. I dry my hair partially and put it up with the rollers while I brush my teeth and do my make-up. I take them out just before I leave.
Only washing 2x/week keeps it healthy without drying out my hair, especially in the wintertime!
CURLY hair secret = don’t mess with it too much! Style wet hair with product, dry with diffuser, and finish with a dusting of hairspray. Then don’t touch it!

My hair secret is to limit treatments – I typically wash and condition every other day and am a wash and wear kind of girl – I save blow dryers, curling irons, or hot rollers and styling products for special occasions a few times a year.
My hair secret is blowdrying and using a flat iron to get my hair straight! Not a great secret plus it takes forever!!!! I am a fan on Facebook of you and folica.
I have to use conditioner… but only on my ends!
My thin, oil-prone hair secret- don’t wash everyday! Wash it every other day and use a dry shampoo in between washes. It cuts waaaaaay back on damage from styling it daily.

hair secret – dont use conditioner on roots and it keeps your hair from being as flat!
salt water spray helps my thin, fine hair
I wish I had a hair secret, but I tend to have to use a lot of product and both a hair dryer and flat iron to get the results I want, especially living in Florida with all the humidty. But if these could eliminate the use of some of that, I would love it!
LOTS AND LOTS OF Root lifter!! Have to have that living in the South! Go big or go home!

my secret is John Freida 9A! Lol!
I color the gray myself and I learned to use better products than grocery store colors….I only color roots, and seldom pull any color to the ends. This keeps my hair healthy with little damage.
My hair secret is to not brush my hair after i straighten it.
My secret? My fabulous hairdresser!
Since beginning couponing I have really enjoyed having so many hair products to use! I’ve gone from using virtually nothing but shampoo and conditioner to using several styling products such as mouse, curl enhancer, and frizz reducer, and I really like the difference it makes on my hair.
My hair trick is to use GOOD shampoo and conditioner (which sadly don’t offer many coupons) and wash my hair every other day. Keeps it from getting too dry after flat ironing/blow drying.
Matting Powder…For fine hair it is the only thing to give me any lasting volume!
I soo need a new hair dryer! My heating element went out so I need one really bad! I follow Southern Savers by email and facebook. I also follow Folica on facebook!

My hair would look horrible if I didn’t have a round brush to dry it with. Have been wanting a flat iron and would love to try the new hair dyer too. ;)
I vary between shoulder-lenth and long hair, so my secret is finding a good stylist who can cut it maybe twice a year but so it will grow out well. The cut isn’t cheap, but at twice a year I can manage it. I’m lucky – love my guy!
I have to let my hair air dry and then use Tresemme’s heat protector spray with the flat iron for my hair to be manageable and shiny.
I tease the back of my hair to add volume. :)
I rinse my hair once a month with a warm beer. It helps remove any product build up. This is especially helpful before a chemical treatment.
I follow you on Facebook and like Folica ,too! My hair dryer is trying to die on me and I desperately need a new one!!!!
My hair secret is to win this so I can actually do something with it. Crossing my fingers and my toes.
frizz-ease for the frizzies.
Hair secret: Mayo or peanut butter massage is great for taking out a stubborn knot in long hair.
My hair is very thin so I have learned if I blow dry and flat iron my hair in small sections, working in an upward direction, it gives it a fuller look.
Round brush and a little pomade go a long way to giving my hair a unique style all its own.
I love a good blow out with a round brush!
I let my hair get almost air dry before I blow dry it…it helps keep it healthier!

i have a hair secret after i flat iron my hair i use a touch of lotion to calm any flyaways. it works great any kind of lotion will do but remember just a touch. by the way i love your site.
My daughter is a college student and has extremely long, thick red hair. While it is beautiful, it has a natural wave and curl to it. Now being a college girl, she straightens her hair daily. LOL. She currently uses a CHI brand flat iron, but I get the phone call at least twice a year that her flat iron has gone out. To her that is a bigger deal than running out of gas in her car. So I would love for her to try a new brand with better luck. Thanks for the awesome giveaway chances.

My hair secret for blondes: BABY POWDER. I’ve been using it for years before they came out with with these dry shampoos. To me, the dry shampoos smell disgusting. Baby Powder wicks away the oil, and smells lovely. Works EVERY time!!
I don’t have a hair secret….that’s why I need this!!
My hair secret is to wear an old granny looking shower cap on the days I don’t wash my hair. Then I don’t have to worry about getting my hair wet! Also, the more you touch your hair the more oily it will get!
I put my hair in a bun at night when it is wet then blow dry and flat iron it in the morning.

I have no hair secret. My secret is I need all the help I can get!
ditto…me too!
My hair secret is henna.
I get up very early for work so I completely style my very curly hair at night. Then I pile it very high on top of my head (once dry) and sleep on it. All the frizz from sleeping in underneath and cant be seen and the rest looks like I just did it. However I would give this prize to my sister because her hair is as curly as they come and this would totally benefit her hair type!

The closest thing I have to a hair secret is to only wash it about twice a week. Unless I take the time to flat iron it (40+ minutes), it looks awful for about two days. On those days, it goes up in a pony tail or bun :)
My hair secret is to put a smoothing cream on my hair before blowdrying.
I like you both on FB
I don’t really have a secret… I straighten mine every day! If I don’t, it is too frizzy and all over the place…
My secret: I color it myself at home. I REALLY need a new dryer, it’s actually on my Christmas list!
I follow you on FB!
I get your emails!
I started following Folica on FB!!!
My hair secret might not be that big a deal to some, but it was a revelation to me! I quit putting styling products on my super-fine hair before drying it. The last stylist who cut it dried my product-free hair and THEN put some cream for flyaways. No more heavy mousse for me!
I sleep on my hair wet wrapped in a towel. This lets me not dry my hair as long which does not dry it out. It seemslike it has more volume this way.
I follow you on facebook
I don’t know if this is a secret, but I did learn a lesson. I spent a little extra money on a Solia flat iron, and WOW! It made a huge difference compared to my old drug store brand. My daughter has very thick, curly hair. I purchased a Solia flat iron for her too and she gets her hair stick sraight in no time. We love them and would love win another. I need a good hair dryer to go along with my flat iron, so this would be a perfect thing for me to win!!!!!!!
I don’t really have a hair secret! That’s why I need these products! :)

I like Folica and SS on Facebook.
bobby pins!
my hair secret is a pony tail lol. Alot of times with my curly unruly hair that is all i can do. oh and not using a towel to dry my hair. it would just make it alot frizzer with the curls
I would love to win this. I have had a swanky hairdryer for years but, it is falling apart. I have a ponytail twisted around the heat button. I should send it in to be repaired but, I have so much hair a regular hair dryer takes over 30 minutes to dry and a ionic takes less than 10. Ionic is my tip if you have lots of hair.
No hair secret! My hair is natuarlly curly and tends to be frizzy – would love these!!
i follow ss. I change my shampoo up during the week when I feel that it is dull or rlat. My hair is so thin now, but I used to put mayo in it to give it shine. We also used to use vinegar to get in shiny too.
I only blow dry my hair until it’s around 90% dry, then use the flat iron on my slightly damp hair- seems to straighten better that way. I recently used a ionic hair dryer at a hotel and it was awesome!!

No secret other than out of the shower and ponytail. I have 5 kids and if there is a hairdryer that could do amazing things in a short time, I would love to win it!
I try to blow my hair in the same direction for the least frizziness.
I have no secret…blow dry and then flat iron on special occasions! ;)

Coconut oil is great for frizzies. Just put a little bit in the palms of your hands and pat onto dry, frizzy hair. It moisturizes, too!
I follow Folcia and SS on facebook :)
Don’t use a brush on your hair until it is is 80% dry.
I like Southern Savers and Folica on FB!

I try to let my hair air dry partially before blow drying so it’s not damaged so much by the heat.
well mine is that when my hair is not looking all that great I wear it in a pony tail and that way no one notices is looking a little less beautiful lol :)
I have incredibly thick, coarse and often unruley hair. It’s quite long and I swear it has a mind of it’s own. I’ve tried everything to try to get it more managable… including exteremly expensive hair products and salon treatments. So far, the 2 best things have been hot oil treatments with OLIVE OIL and Costco Brand shampoo and conditioner (sulfate free and actually allows me to drag a brush thru it!)
I follow SS via FB & email- thanks!!
Use a wide toothed comb when your hair is damp to untangle it.
I rinse with cold water
FB fan
I make sure my hair is completely dry before I flat iron it.
My daughter has a lion’s (lioness’?) mane for hair: super thick, wavy, frizzy and dry, dry, dry. Frizz-eaze doesn’t even begin to help. John Frieda Root Awakening shampoo and conditioner with L’Oreal leave-in conditioner are the key to taming her wild hair.
Scrunch it up with gel on rainy days and straighten it on sunny days…if all else fails, ponytail. :)
I follow SS via FB & email- thanks!!
Use quality hair products and a must have is a flat iron!
I rarely blow dry because it damages my hair. If I could find a blow dryer to change my mind I would buy that brand forever.
I add a leave in coditioner to prevent frizz
This sounds like the perfect solution for my hair!!

Curl your hair with your straightener…works great and has great effect!
my hair secret is MOUSE! i have really thick curly hair and without it my hair would be a big frizzy fro! i could soooo use both of these!!!
If you use the “cold shot” button to blast you hair with cold air for abput a min. after a blow out, your hair will remain sleek and straight and frizz free for longer.
I section my hair and pull it straight daily. I would love the flat iron!
Liked Southern Savers on Facebook & my hair tip is to use a hot air curling brush before your straightner when your hair is almost dry. Makes it stay smoother!
My hair secret is to keep it long, so I can throw it up in a ponytail anytime!
I use a very small amount of conditioner and mouse mixed in the palm of my hand then apply to hair. I’ve found this gives hold and shapes without stiffness.

For the hair dryer or flat iron competition: My Hair Secret. I use hair color regularly on my hair because it is totally gray. Therefore, my hair gets very dry and brittle easily and I have to use a lot of conditioner. This type of hair product would be so helpful to the health of my hair. Thanks for the opportunity to win the great product! Arlene

My hair secret is how much I pay to have it cut! It’s my biggest splurge and I am embarrassed to admit how much I pay so I keep it a secret.
Following on FB :)
My hair secret is sulfate free shampoo! Love what it does to my hair!
My secret is: wash my hair, don’t dry it – just go to bed.. then it’s dry in the morning and you can put rollers in it then. Much less heat and damage to your hair that way :)
I have fine hair that won’t keep a curl. To achieve wavy hair, i use spray gel while my hair is damp; use a diffuser and scrunch my hair to dry it. I then use a flat iron to curl some of the hair, especially around my face. This is a quick way for my hair to keep a curl!
I “like” folica and southern savers on FB!
Great hair style and great hair products!
I wish I had a great hair secret! My time-saver is only washing every other day.
I am following folica and southern savers on facebook.
Following Southern Savers and Folica on Facebook! BTW, my hair dryer stopped blowing hot air about 6 months ago. It takes me FOREVER to dry my thick hair since it only blows out room temperature air. Every time I’m out, I forget to pick one up, so this would be great!!! No hair secrets here. With a wild toddler, it’s ponytails every day : )
Shampoo everyday!!
Quality hair products, they’re well worth the investment. That, and getting my hair cut on a regular basis helps keep it it’s healthiest!
Lots of conditioner!!
I NEED the secrets…my hair is crazy!
I follow you and folica on fb. My hair secret is the Instyler, I’m sure you’ve seen the infomercials on tv. It is everything they say it is. Much easier to use than a conventional curling iron and it really does polish your hair. They are pricey but I’ve had mine for 3 years now and it’s still as good as new. I would love to win the Folica blowdryer.
No, hair secrets, wash and blow dry my hair daily. Try to give some lift w/a round brush to help w/drying. Southern Saver emails
don’t wash hair everyday
My hair secret…heat syrum and volume mousse, best thing to do is use both and then blow dry your hair upside down with a brush for volumptuous hair!
Following southern savers and folica on Facebook!
My hair secret- dont use alot of heat on it and control the frizz with Argan oil. I love it and you can buy it so much cheaper online thru Amazon than in the salon.
Do not wash hair everyday and use hair product oil to try and protect the hair.
My hair secret is to be happy with the hair I have and find products that make it look good. I have curly hair, but I can wear it straight too. Another secret is a good haircut!
Root Lifter is a must! Then a dab of Leave-in -Conditioner, Gel, and Mouse…you will always have great looking and healthy hair.
I don’t consider this a hair secret, but I love to use glossy volumizing mousse in my hair because it gives it body and I love the compliments I get on how shiny my hair looks. I have been wanting a flat iron for about 6 months now and would love to win one! :)
My daughter & I both have thick, wavy hair….& live in humid AL. Frizz is a daily issue! We love Aveda’s Smooth Infusion Style Prep smoother. That blow dryer & flatiron sound DREAMY, though, & we promise to share them!
My hair secret is to use a anti-humidity creme. Living in the south requires it!
My hair Secret: “Secret Weapon” by John Freida. Totally lives up to it’s name! And a little goes a very long way!
soy renewal helps hair dry much faster. I use this and biosilk before and after drying. Then I use Garnier Fructus to finish. Seems like a lot, but my hair is usually dry, but not so much with this combination.
I NEED a hair secret! :(

Figures I just bought a replacement Solia flat iron this week. But I would love a spare with a hair dryer to boot. :) My hair tip for thick, wavy haired gals is to use a smoothing serum prior to blow drying. I love the Chi Silk Infusion. it’s a tad expensive, but will last you all year because you need so little.
I don’t have any magic secrets to good hair, but uses a lot of conditioner and hair dye to keep it looking young!!!

I don’t have a hair secret….my hair seems to have a mind of its own. Maybe if I had this hair dryer and flat-iron, I could make it behave:-))
My hair secret is only washing it every 2-3 days. I really need a new hair dryer and flat iron, so I hope I win!
I am following Southern Savers on Facebook!
My secret is not washing my thick curly hair everyday.
Don’t wash hair everyday and dry with a 4 inch round brush in sections. Would love to win new folica hair dryer and flat iron.

Dont know if its a hair secret but I try not to wash it every day to keep it from getting dry. I also wash it at night sometimes to keep from drying it all the time and making my hair dry/frizzy! Hope I win!
I don’t do much with my hair. I usually wash and go. I have noticed lately that my hair is frizzing, so I would love to win these two prizes so I can style my hair to look better.
My hair secret is wash my hair and let it air dry and then flat iron it that evening or the next morning. My hair feels smoother and less frizzy that way.
A great smoothing serum that makes it look great even just with blowdrying!
Wow, I’ve always wanted a flat iron! I’ve bought from the folica company before and have always been pleased with their products.
i deep condition! my hair is super frizzy and curly so it is a must :)
No real secret. Wash every other day to prevent over dryness and sometimes use Dry Shampoo in between washes. I use a hot air brush to dry which works really well with my fine hair to prevent frizz and provide some body. My daughter could really use the hair dryer and flat iron (especially flat iron) as her hair is curly, dry, and frizzes easily.
I am asking for a new hair dryer for Christmas, so this would be perfect! I do not any hair secrets, I wash and blow dry! But skip the hair drying if I can so my hair doesn’t dry out.
I believe hair that isn’t washed everyday does better.
I dry my hair with blow dryer and no brush until it is close to dry. Then straighten with brush and dryer
Following Folica and Southern Savers on Facebook.
Perfectly teasing my hair to hide the cowlicks! ha
I secretly wish I had my (three-year-old) daughter’s hair!!
I let my hair go a day or two between washings, it’s not oily so it’s not bad. Plus my hair is healthier now in my late 30’s (ok, 5 months from my 40th birthday!) than it’s ever been before!!!
I also follow Southern Savers on Facebook and now, Folica!
My wife’s hair secret is to let it dry while she sleeps…turns out wavy the next morning and it looks great
I use a sleek and shiny shampoo and it is the ONLY shampoo that works to stop frizz. Expensive name brands have never helped!
I follow southernsavers on facebook
wash every other day and use staightener Do not blow dry let dry overnight use a little anti frizz product

Have curly, frizzy hair. I blow dry each day with a large round brush to keep my hair manageable. This flat iron and blow dryer set sounds like it would be fun and helpful to use.
Use good hair products and pray, as my hair has a mind of its own!!LOL
I have no secrets… I need Folica! :-)

hmm…no secret. I don’t have good hair…maybe this dryer will help:)
Liked Folica and already like Southern Savers.
I’m already following Southern Savers on Facebook, and now I’m following Folica too.
I wavy hair, so after the shower its a quick brush with a flat brush and give it a scrunch and off i go.
I follow both on facebook. I would love a new hair dryer
I splurge on only one thing for myself…all year. It is the Japanese straightening perm. And it has made my life 30X easier! I love my new straight hair and the “get-up-and-go” experience in the morning. First time in my life. On most days, I need a good straightener to work on my bangs and smooth a couple of bumps…and mine just broke. Ooh! This would be nice:)
My great hair discovery is Moroccian Oil! Opps, my secret is out!
I use John Frieda products and especially like the Glaze product. I am about to try the Moroccan Oil products. Hoping to win here …
Hair secret is to not have two teenage girls in the house and expect them to share a flat iron this will make you pull your hair out!!
My hair secret is . . . .I need help? I need a new flat iron b/c my current one is struggling!
Blow drying with a large round brush gives my hair lots of volume. Unfortunately my hair is also fine and oily so it doesn’t really last all day.
my hair secret is simply getting to the hair dryer before everyone else. I have 4 daughters and a brand new granddaughter so our hair dryers get a lot of use.
My secret is to not use too many products! Keeps it nice and healthy! But a flat iron that won’t kill my hair sure would help :)
I like southern savers on fb! thanks for the great tips!
I follow both on fb.
I use just conditioner about every other washing. It helps with frizz.
A great conditioner solves the problem
John Frieda Antifrizz spray styling gel. After blow-drying, I spray with the gel, and use my curling iron to smooth and curl. The gel is fantastic and really holds the curls and smooths my hair. You know how just-washed hair is hard to style? Not with this spray!! :-)
I liked folica!
Olive Oil :)
Dry your hair then just before you’re finished use the cool air setting to go over it one last time.
I don’t have a hair secret yet. My hair is such a nasty, curly, frizzy mess that I spend almost an hour in the mornings straightening it…and it’s short hair. This sounds like something i may need to look into, just don’t know if in this economy I can spend money right now on a new hair dryer and flat iron. Your couponing site is helping us make it week to week as it is. Thanks for all you do!
While I have shampoo in my hair I use a brush to brush the shampoo into my hair more. Then I rinse it and do the same with the conditioner, but I never rub the conditioner into my scalp because it will make your scalp greasy. When my hair dries, it is as smooth and silky as ever. I am so following Folica and Southerensavers on FACEBOOK…..
My hair seems to keep secrets from me.:-) These tools could help bring my rebellious hair around! Although Herbal Essence’s None Of Your Frizziness anti-frizz shampoo seems to help! Thanks for the chance to win!
my hair secret is to use Mane and Tail is you have thin hair. It really makes it thicker.

I have to use John Frieda anti-frizz before blow drying and definitely a flat iron. Would love to give this one a try!
I follow you both on Facebook and get your daily mail.
I only use special towels made only for your hair. They don’t ruff up the hair like regular towels and they absorb water better. You can get small travel ones for $7 or larger ones for $15. I know bed bath and beyond carries them.
I’m in the same boat as some others…no hair secrets here. I do have a solia flat iron and it is great, but old. I have been wanting to try out an ionic dryer for years but haven’t quite been able to afford it. Maybe this will be my chance.
I am following you both on Facebook now too!
I don’t really have any secrets, although I do like using the BioSilk on my hair a few times a week. It seems to keep it really conditioned.
I comb my hair in the shower with conditioner in it to prevent breakage. Then I just use my fingers out of the shower. I like Southern Savers on fb!

No secrets – favorite shampoo/condition is Infusium – a little goes a long way, let air dry for awhile, finish w/ blow dryer, flat iron on bangs and sides.
I always blow my hair upside down, in order to get the most bounce and volume for my hair.
I just tweeted and FB’d you folks. Yea!!
Following both (Southern Savers and Folica) on Facebook.
I eat only organic foods, keep my hair natural, no chemicals and condition with pure oils (olive oil/wheat germ oil/coconut oil/avocado oil), herbs (rosemary, lavender) and paraben/sulfate free products! I only blow dry my hair every two weeks to make sure I don’t dry it out. That folica flat iron would be great to replace the old one I have now. I love your site- you help me save money everyday- Many thanks!
The new Sauve Dry Shampoo is great for fine hair, I spray it in my hair every day to add volume!

I like to use Pantene ProV for color treated hair…that’s my tip!
I have naturally curly hair and when I want it to look good for going out or whatever, I try not to wash it for a couple of days. It always looks better than if I had just washed and styled it!
My hair secret is to only add conditioner to the ends…otherwise it makes my scalp look oily and dirty. :)

I use Argon oil once a week.
I do not rub or squeeze my wet hair with a towel to dry it. It’s damaging and frizz-inducing! Just comb wet hair gently, apply leave in conditioner and wrap your head, turban style, with a towel — preferably microfiber. I leave it on for anywhere from 5-15 minutes as I get ready and when removed my hair is nearly dry and ready for product and just a few minutes with the blow dryer.
My hair secret is weekly hot oil treatments.

I use Aveda damage repair and shine serum before blow drying then flat ironing or curling. Love Aveda products!

i use heat protection on my hair everyday
My hair secret is to follow the great tips given to me by my hairstylist! She just recently told me that I should be using a hairdryer with a diffuser because it is a much gentler way to dry my hair and will leave my hair shinier and softer. Thanks for the chance to win one….!

My hair secret is I don’t shampoo and condition it everyday. I have super oily hair and the only way I have been able to reduce the oil is to wash it every other day.
I already follow you on facebook, and now I’m following Folica!
I have been blessed/cursed with a head of very thick, long, blonde hair. Over the years I have learned that the secrets to keeping it looking great are to 1. get it cut by someone who knows what they’re doing and loves hair, 2. keep it simple as far as products, etc.., and 3. do a mayonnaise treatment a couple of times a year. Yep, mayonnaise. Especially good if it’s the olive oil kind. Don’t use a ton, just enough to be like conditioner. I make sure it’s on the ends thicker than the rest, wrap in plastic wrap and leave it while I paint my toes or something, then do a regular wash.
Oh, and my hairdryer is shooting sparks and turns bright red on the inside, so this would be GREAT!
I use a heat protection spray!
Shhh. It’s a secret! (Let your fine, naturally wavy or curly hair almost air dry after shampooing/conditioning/gel, and then roll in the velcro rollers and let it stay up as LONG as possible, maybe even spray before you take it down. Other, busy, regular days, use the tools above.
I use a frizz-ease serum to help w/ fly-aways

I use smoothing serum and blow dry with cold air if I’m in a humid environment.

Hi I’m in need of a blow dryer and would love to try a strightener for my hair. My hair has a natural curl to it but if I just let it air dry or if I scrunch it just has a messy look. So my secret is after I scrunch it I spray hair spray over my whole head then take the defuser and push up on my crurls with it. The end result is a more defined curl instead of a head of messy curls the curls are pretty and defined. If I won that flat iron I could try and strighten my curls and have another look.
My hair secret is the best natural moisturizer: Water! I spritz my hair daily and seal in the moisture with a light oil.
I have super fine long hair. I don’t really have any secrets because I just wash, blow dry and go. I wish I could find out some so I could have volume or get curls to stay.

I have very flat and fine hair – my hair secret is a flat iron and hot spray. The spray helps protect my hair and helps it hold the style without being sticky or hard.
I let me thick hair air dry partially so my blow drying time is cut in half.
Although pricey, my hair has benefited from the pureology hydrate shampoo and conditioner.
I use conditioner on the bottom part of my hair.
I’m a fan of both on facebook
After washing, I put Aussie mouse in my hair and put it in a bun overnight. The next day I undo the bun, shake out my hair and spray hair spray on it. It looks like I took lots of time with a curling iron. :) I also like to slather olive oil on my hair and let it sit for hours before washing out- my hair is really dry and olive oil is very moisturizing. If you hvae fine hair- a beer rinse actually works!! That is my hair secrets. :)

I wish I had a hair secret! :) I guess it’s really all about cut. You need to find a style that works with your hair rather than fighting it, as I did for so many years. As much as I wanted long, curly hair, it wasn’t in the cards with my fine, straight hair. Work with what you’ve got!

No amazing secrets. I need some secrets! My hair is fine, thin and dry. I visited Sally’s Beauty Supply today and purchased a couple of products for moisturing my hair. Hope it helps! A new flat iron and new hair dryer would be GREAT! Thanks!
My best hair secret is to use leave in conditioner after every you use a flat iron or blow dryer, it leaves your hair softer and shinier.
tell me your hair secret
Use a flat iron only when your hair is still damp and this will keep it from being so frizzy.
Less is more…don’t wash often-twice a week is enough for my thick hair. Use dry shampoo in between to get rid of any greasiness.
I do not have any secrets. I need a new flat iron for my frizzy hair.
using a comb attatchment on you dryer befor straitening makes the process much easier since it pulls the curl out as u dry and keeps it from frizzing as well.

Cute headbands and hats! I have super think hair that takes forever to dry… So a lot of times I don’t dry it all of the way and use a headband. A new hair dryer would probably be my new hair secret! :)
I put a small amout of any kind of conidtioner on the ends of my hair before I dry it. Lots of product is the key. Use a find tooth comb and flat iron small sections at a time. I have thick curly hair and no one would know it. Love a good blow out and flat iron.

I’m following folica on Facebook. I recently started using organic shampoo and conditioner on my hair, no sulfides…
Not really a secret – I just wash it every other day. Keeps my hair shiny and smooth.
I don’t have a hair secret. It is just a mess.

I have extremely frizzy hair with an inconsistent wave that always just looks like it needs to be brushed. No more – because my secret is putting a Brazilian keratin treatment in my hair. Actually the secret is how I buy it. It is very expensive to get done at a salon but I bought some on ebay very cheap and put it in myself. REALLY WORKS!!!!
I did all three. My hair secret for long, thick, dry, frizzy, wavy hair (I have all of the above) is to shampoo and condition at night, brush straight, go to sleep, then wake up and straighten. This way, I only have to blow-dry a few times a week instead of twice a day on top of using my flat iron.
My hair secret is a ponytail!!!
I have thick, long, wavy hair. My hair is heavy and I have a hard time keeping it tame. I usually put my we hair up at night in several srunchies while damp with a leave in conditioner…then dry it in the morning on low…and spray with a “20 hour hair spray”. My waves look nice and it last all day into the night! For a pick me up, I put in a leave in conditioner if I need to restyle for an evening event! I love my waves but hate the frizz!
Use a protecting gel of some sort to keep from frying your hair whenever you’re going to use a curling iron, hair dryer, flat iron, etc
following on facebook and daily email, and my hair secret is chi silk infusion hair treatment. It works wonders! also I leave conditioner in my hair overnight with a shower cap once every few months when my hair gets frizzy. My hair secret that not alot of people know. Is I am a single mom and cant afford to buy expensive hair products. So because I highlight my hair at home I have some fried hair. As a mom on a budget I started using Garnier Fructis 3- minute undo and it is the best thing I have ever found. Best deep conditioning treatment.
I use Redken Anti-Snap Leave in Treatment! It is awesome! I put on my hair I after shampoo and condition it and just work it in with my hands. My hair is thin & dry and the treatment really helps is stay healthy and not break off from flat-ironing it every day. Also, if I don’t have anywhere important to be, I don’t flat iron or blow dry my hair. I just let it dry naturally and put it in a pony tail. I think it deserves the break! :) I also like Southern Savers and Folica on Facebook!
I am very lazy with my hair. I need to get better about straightening it. My secret is to let it air dry before I blow dry.

Let me start by saying my hair is THICK and CURLY. You have no idea!! Lol. It takes me way too long to blow dry my hair so I usually wash it at night, sleep on it wet and then flat iron it in the morning. Would LOVE both products :)
My hair secret… conditioner every day. My hair is a frizzy mess without it. I could really use a nicer flat iron.
With curly wurly hair, I wash with a hydrating shampoo and use a hydrating conditioner which I leave on my hair for 10 minutes. I then rinse with cool water. I apply a dollup of leave in conditioner while hair is still wet/damp and then let my hair air dry. I then use lowheat setting and a brush to straighten my hair, taking sections at a time. Gotta love it!
My hair secret – wrap a turby twist for about 10 minutes before blow drying.

To get the most out of my wavy hair, I sometimes wash it at night, apply gel, then sleep on it wet. In the morning, I apply a little more gel, shining product and hairspray to get it under control and just go out the door!!!! The results are variable, but worth it for the little time spent.
My hair secret- once a month I used a hair mask in replace of my conditioner.
I don’t have any hair secrets, but I sure could use a new hair dryer and would even try a flat iron. Thanks for the giveaways! As always, you rock!
Only wash hair every other day, use an intense deep conditioner, try really hard not to blow dry because I do use a flat iron. If i’m in a hurry I have to blow dry.
my hair secret is letting it air dry over night while I sleep. That way I can just straighten it in the morning and skip the hair dryer all together.
I follow southern savers on facebook.
I have really long, thick hair. It’s pretty healthy, but the ends of long hair have a tendency to get really dry and break off. I like putting a little bit of Infusium 23 leave-ing conditioner on the ends of my hair after I shampoo and condition my hair in the shower. Just massage some in real quick while my hair is still wet and either let it dry or style it. It’s amazing the difference it makes after just a couple of applications!

If I don’ t have time to wash my hair I put a little baby powder in my hands and shake off abit, then run my hands thur my hair a couple of times. It makes it not look oily but make sure you fluff all the white out,. lean head over as you do both
I style my hair the night before.
I was just turned on to you by a friend and thank you for all you do!!! Also love Folica’s site and have just liked them on FB, as have already you/SS. My hair secret is using a blow dryer for fluff, otherwise it’s flat, flat, flat.
If I don’t have time to wash my hair and it looks slightly greasy, I put a little baby powder on the roots and it absorbs the liquid! No more greasy hair!
A couple of tricks I know that are all natural and inexpensive are 1.) Use apple cider vinegar in the shower as a conditioner (I promise you won’t smell like a pickle.) it really leaves your hair shiny and soft. 2.) Apply just a little coconut oil to your hair before you blow dry it. It helps to protect your hair from the heat and also makes it soft and shiny. This oil is great because it obsorbs wonderfully and doesn’t leave your hair greasy. It is also good for your skin.
I follow Southern Savers. I try to let my hair dry naturally until almost dry, then I use my styling tools. Would love to try the new technology.
My secret is using less shampoo. Every time I shower I top off my shampoo bottle with water. I know it sounds crazy, but my hair is less oily now that I do this. Shampoo stripss the oils away from your scalp, causing your skin to over produce oil; this makes your hair greasy. I then follow with a normal amount of comditioner. If you have oily hair you should give this a try! Not only do I have great looking hair, I ‘m saving money necause my shampoo lasts 5times longer!!
I follow SS and Folica on Facebook.:)

Follow Southern Savers and folica on Twitter, and on FB. My hair secret is Pureology shampoo and Enjoy products. Pureology is just luxurious – like a trip to the most expensive spa, but in your own home. Enjoy makes the best anti frizz serum. Smells so good. I have very frizzy curly hair, so I use a tip a hairdresser gave me. When you wash, towel dry, then put hair in a pony tail. Gently twist into a bun, then secure with elastics. Hair will be less frizzy but still wavy when it’s dry.
Flat iron hair every other day:)
I use a flat iron after washing and the next day I usually do not have to straighten it.
I always have a ponytail on hand for those not so good day. I could use a new flat iron since mine no longer works.

My hair tricks – keep it simple and shorter is better! I like you on facebook.
My hair secert is simple but works.. Don’t blow dry till hard is almost airdried and use a shine enhancer… before you do blow dry!! Works everytime.. I get complements all the time!! :))
I have curly hair. So, my hair frizzes a lot. To keep the frizziness at bay and help me have a good curly hair day, I work in a nickel size amount of conditioner after I wash and condition my hair in the shower. I do this while my hair is still wet, and I work the conditioner in starting at the ends of my hair up to the roots.
I can really use a new flat iron, posted on my fb! woot
Can realy use a new flat iron daughter took mine over! lol posted on fb WOOT!
I don’t have a secret but I’ve enjoyed reading the ones given!
I’m really looking into trying a flat iron. I have naturally wavy hair. My hair tip is not to use your hair dryer every day – it’s terrible for your hair if you have a $20 junk hair dryer like I do. On the days I do use the hair dryer I usually straighten my hair but there’s this one extra curly spot right on the back of my head that I can never seem to get smooth. I’d love to try a flat iron but am too cheap to spring for one just for an experiment.

When I straighten my hair, I like to use got2b straightening creme in the square orange bottle. I have thick, curly hair & it makes my hair look & feel silky smooth. It also smells good!
I have long and naturally wavy hair but hate the wave. So I use “Skinny” (leave in conditioner) before I dry it and also after before I flat iron it. It takes away all of the frizz and doesn’t leave it oily. It’s amazing. BUT, I need a new flat iron sooo bad! My cord is frayed and is about 10 years old.
*I get the daily email. Thank you SouthernSavers!

No hair secrets here. I air dry mine and either pony tail it or straighten it the next morning. I have super dry naturally curly hair with a lot of coarse gray in it. Some leave in conditioners help and argan oil gives it a little shine. Still trying to find the perfect treatment for my hair.

My hair secret is baby powder! I wash and fix my hair one day and slap some powder in it the next…works just as well as the high priced “waterless wash” sprays. Keeps the oil out and somehow I have more body.
I have well water and I use a nickle size worth of Morrician Hair oil to combat the frizzies before I use a straightener on my hair
Conditioner is my hair secret and plenty of it!
I try to only wash every 2-3 days and use blow dryer spray to help protect.
I follow Southern Savers and Folica on FB
my hair secret is not to wash your hair everyday! i get more compliments on the days that i don’t wash my hair than when i do and it is more healthy for your hair and scalp :)

Getting up before the kids to actually do my hair is the secret
I try not to wash my hair too many times during the week even though I worry about it looking greasy. It seems fuller and healthier when I lay off the constant washing and blow drying…

I have to use the straight iron every day or I am a frizz bomb!
With dry and frizzy hair, I have learned to use a conditioner with olive oil in it to help. Also, not to wash it every day.
I have learned with my hair to use Treseme 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner then add a small amount of a separate conditioner to keep the frizzzies away! When I use my flat iron I spray on Beyond the Zone Smooth Criminal to prevent split ends!!
I started only washing my hair every other day. It is so much healthier and much less dry.
I have fine hair so light conditioner and stuff to put body in and stuff so my hair don’t get heat damadge.
I’ll post for my teenage daughter–she would like her first hot iron. She has long hair that likes to frizz, and we have found coupons for anti-friz hair products that work well. (Garnier) Thanks Southern Savers for the tips on finding coupons!

My best hair secret is washing at night and styling in the morning. Every good stylist knows that “dirty” hair styles better so I wash before bed adn let it air dryu. In the AM I barely dampen it THEN style for the day. Bonus, this lets me sleep a few extra minutes in the morning.

If I do not have time to wash my hair and it is just a little oily I use my loose makeup powder and brush it on my roots with big powder brush and it looks completely clean.
i wash the night before and let it air dry over night so it’s ready to style when i wake up.

Using a flat-iron. My hair is relatively straight… but I can’t just let it air-dry or blow-dry alone. It needs that extra help from the flat-iron. And because my hair is so thick, it is important to have a good flat-iron.
My hair secret – braiding it at night! It results in lovely, wavy, easy hair. I then usually pin up a bit of it with a few bobby pins.
