When Jenny’s daughter Olive was born, she didn’t know which way was up. She was proud of herself for keeping herself and Olive alive and relatively clean by the end of each day. In time, they got into the swing of things and she decided she needed to find a creative outlet. Through her passion for food and sewing, Olive This Felt was born. She wanted to create a better version of play food than the plastic stuff she grew up with. Jenny decided to make felt play food because it’s eco friendly, washable, light weight and non breakable…great for kiddos!Stray baby diapers have since become her pin cushions. Jenny’s productivity is measured by the passage of naptimes. And she’s learned to thread a needle while burping a baby. Jenny confesses that life is still messy and things don’t always go as planned, but she wouldn’t have it any other way.Jenny currently lives outside of Portland with her husband, daughter and matching brindle coated cat and dog. She works out of her attic studio and when she’s not chasing Olive or creating, Jenny enjoys traipsing through the woods and reading just about anything.
5% of all profits (excluding shipping costs) from Olive This Felt are donated to No Kid Hungry Organization.
I love that Jenny’s products are so safe for my kids to use. There are plenty of different products for my girls to make a whole meal out of creative play. The barrette is awesome because it’s so much softer on a baby’s head compared to traditional barrettes. Everything is well-made and I don’t feel like they’ll fall apart from my kids playing with them.
