This week we got a little crazy and went shopping on two different days. Normally I’m a Wednesday only shopper (just because it fits in our routine best) and I get all my shopping and deals knocked out for the week. This week I ran out over the weekend to get Bi-Lo sales and then still shopped on Wednesday.
For Bi-Lo we did great, though half my buggy was ice cream…
I always have my big girls (11 and 8 year olds) cut my coupons and help organize them. This week they saw Mayfield ice cream on the list and went to town finding and cutting every coupon they could. 16 coupons later they decided we should use them all. Don’t worry we didn’t get quite that much, but we did get a lot for a mama on a diet.
Bi-Lo Totals:
Total Value Purchased: $150.24
Total Spent: $61.17
Total Saved: $89.07 or 59%
This trip also included three gallons of milk and a lot of salad fixin’s (to help balance out the ice cream).
CVS Totals:
Total Value Purchased: $72.84
Total Spent: $24.24
ECB Remaining: $34
I shared this trip in a Facebook live video (you can watch above). This was done all in one purchase rather than splitting up transactions so I could maximize the savings from my weekly 30% off coupon. I also ran into a sad issue with the CVS app that cost all my ECB from last week. Since shopping, CVS corporate has emailed to say that they will return my ECB’s so between the ones earned this week and the ones they give me back we should be set for a while.
Publix Totals:
Total Value Purchased: $25.10
Total Spent: $11.19
Total Saved: $13.91 or 55%
I wasn’t really planning on getting anything at Publix but as we walked the stores looking for unadvertised deals there were a few things that hopped into my buggy. I grabbed fresh peaches (they are the way into my heart) and couple clearance deals we found.
Weekly Totals:
Total Value Purchased: $248.18
Total Spent: $96.60
ECB Remaining: $34
That’s a big week for us. I didn’t shop much over the two weeks before so we had some buffer room. We also will eat off the pantry and fridge next week as we prepare to go out of town. Can’t let food go bad!
