You may have noticed, but I’m a bit passionate about saving money. I hear all the excuses as to why people don’t coupon or even shop sales, but honestly there is no good reason. I’m probably preaching to the choir…
This week I made three stops for deals, one of which was a rare trip to Walmart just to coupon. I can’t tell you the last time I couponed there, we mostly stick to grocery stores for our big trips (nothing is really on sale at Walmart so deal wise you’ll save more in a grocery store). I’m going to leave you in suspense on Walmart until tomorrow. I will tell you that I challenged myself to see how much I could get for $15. Tune in tomorrow to see everything we got.
My other two trips were to CVS and Bi-Lo. CVS was super fast:
Bought:
(2) L’Oreal Advanced Hair Care, $4 ea.
Used:
(2) $2 off L’Oreal Hair Care printable
-$4 ECB
Total Due: nothing
Got Back: $4 ECB
It took 2 minutes to run in and walking out paying nothing makes it 2 well spent minutes. Next week there is even more free L’Oreal Hair Care, so I’ll use this ECB from today to pay for that!
My big trip was to Bi-Lo. I crammed the buggy full and had a coupon for everything except the milk. Trips like this take about 45 minutes to plan and cut coupons for. In the end saving $140 made it worth every minute!
Bi-Lo Totals:
Purchase Value: $207.19
Total Spent: $65.47
Total Saved: $141.72 or 68%
I also earned 80¢ in Fuelperks which is equal to $16 off my next gas fill up. There are some crazy good deals this week at Bi-Lo, if you are near one it’s completely worth heading in! My favorites:
Gain Detergent for $1
Charmin Toilet Paper, 12 rolls, $3
Free Hamburger Helper
Free Suddenly Salad
Free Rice
Free Zatarains Rice Mix
Clorox for 40¢ a bottle
