This was a week that reminded me just how fun couponing is.  I decided to only grab a few things at the grocery store (we were already there to get all the unadvertised deals) and instead spent most of our weekly budget playing the drugstore deals.  I guess you could say we didn’t spend the rest of our budget, since the drugstores are really the land of the free!!

If you haven’t started shopping drugstore deals, it’s time to stop making excuses and try it out.  It’s what originally got my hooked on couponing.

First stop was Bi-Lo.

Bi-Lo Total:

Purchase Value: $32.19
Total Spent: $15.01
Total Saved: $17.18 or 54% off
Got Back: $3 off next purchase and 40¢ in Fuelperks (worth $8 off)

I had a chuck of coupons for Nabisco and Keebler items, and we stocked up on super cheap Gerber baby food.  After the Gerber catalina offer back and the fuelperks we basically paid $4 for everything.  Part of my savings was two $3 off catalina coupons from our last trip.  If you haven’t already learned this… you can repeat the deal and pay with the catalina coupon you just got!

CVS Total:

Bought:
(2) Speed Stick Deodorant, $2.75 ea.
(2) Snickers Bars, 99¢ ea.
(1) Colgate Max Toothpaste, $3
Used:
-$2.50 off Colgate toothpaste, printing at CVS coupon center this week
-.50/1 Colgate printable coupon
B1G1 Speed Stick Deodorant, SS 1/17
-$1/2 Mars Candy printable coupon
-$3 CVS ExtraCare Bucks sent in a birthday email from the beauty club
Total Due: $1.73
Got Back: $3.25 ECB

How can you not leave the store floating on a little cloud?  I love it!

Next stop was Rite Aid for the awesome deal on DiGiorno pizza.  Before you drive around trying to get this deal though make sure to call stores first.  I found that not many stores even sell regular size pizza…

Rite Aid Total:

Bought:
(6) DiGiorno Pizza, $5 ea.
Used:
(2) B2G1 DiGiornio Pizza SS 1/31
-2000 Plenti Points (left from all the great deals in January)
Total Due: nothing
Got Back: 1000 Plenti Points
Submitted for: $5 back from SavingStar

If the above is greek to you, this means I got 6 pizzas for basically $5, though we paid with their rewards and really spent nothing!  This is an insane deal and I hope others of you were able to get it.  The DiGiorno coupons expire Monday, so don’t wait to use them!!

See my shopping list for both CVS and Rite Aid (yes you can put all your stores on the same list if you want).

Weekly Totals:

Purchase Value: $72.67
Total Spent: $16.73
Total Saved: $55.94 or 77%

Total Rewards Remaining: $21.25
