SC Residents:  Sadly we have had a huge security breach in the SC Department of Revenue that has exposed 77% of residents information.  If you’ve paid taxes in South Carolina since 1998 you could be on the list of accounts breeched.

An overseas hacker gained access to social security numbers, credit, and debit card numbers of tax payers. You can call 1-866-578-5422  to see if you have been compromised and get an activation code for www.protectmyid.com/scdor.

If you have been affected you can receive FREE identity-theft protection and credit monitoring for 1 year.
