A few weeks ago I posted about a new program with Sears/Kmart that is part of Shop Your Way Rewards and helps you earn money on the side. Part of this program is being able to compile your own shopping catalog and share that with friends and family. We used this feature to share some of the back to school items we were finding on sale, or that we needed (think like a gift registry) so that grandma’s could handle buying backpacks or shoes for the school year. (Yes if they offer I’m not opposed to letting them help).
The fun part was letting the girls pick out the back packs that they wanted. The online catalog pulls all the products from Sears, Kmart, and a few other participating sites so there were over 1,000 back packs to choose from! We narrowed it down with everyone going for butterfly packs this year. We also looked at clothing and other items and then decided to head to the store to actually try things on.
In our local Sears we found skirts for $2.39 shirts for $5 or less and even small jackets for $7.99. The girls each got 3 different outfits and we were right around $60. For 9 new outfits I was pretty happy with that!
The fun part with the Personal Shopper program is that everything that was purchased we then earned 1% commission on. This was for not only the online shoes and backpacks, but also the things we bought in the store.
You really could be using this for anyone you know that shops in-store or online at either Kmart or Sears. When they use their free Shop Your Way Rewards card (required to get store sales) at checkout you’ll be earning commission on anything they purchased!
What it is?
The Personal Shopper from Shop Your Way, is a completely FREE way to earn a little extra cash each month. Sign up and recruit friends to be your “clients”. Now anytime they make a purchase at Sears, Kmart, Lands End, mygofer, Craftsman, or Sears Outlet, and use their Shop Your Way Rewards membership online or in-stores you make money! If you have friends or family that shop at these stores, then this could be an easy way to earn money too with no cost to be a personal shopper at all and basically no time required. Right now they are also giving you a coupon to help get friends signed up! As soon as a friend signs up under you, share a $15 off $100 purchase coupon with them.
How it works?
To start, you need to sign up to be a member of Shop Your Way Rewards. Then you can start recruiting your friends, who will sign up as “clients”. You can add them as your client either through Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo, or just entering their email address.
You can then create a catalog from the different stores, and suggest items from your catalog to your friends. This is also very simple for friends that are just regular in-store shoppers. If their card is linked to you, you earn 1% on everything they spend and didn’t even have to work for it! This included everything in your local store (think pharmacy, personal care…).
When you have $20 in earnings you get a check mailed out to you. They mail checks each month. Also once you have more than 20 clients, you’ll then start to earn 2% commission.
