There are some stores that for me seem like going home, Sears is one of those. I can remember going with my dad to buy tools and appliances as a little girl and playing house with all the dishwashers while waiting for him to make decisions. Even though I have a strong past with Sears, I’m always learning new things about them (and their counterparts Kmart and Lands End). A new program that I came across this week was their personal shopper program. For those of you looking to earn extra money, this might totally be for you!
What it is?
The Personal Shopper from Shop Your Way, is a completely FREE way to earn a little extra cash each month. Sign up and recruit friends to be your “clients”. Basically you email or facebook them and get them to join your personal shopper group. Now anytime they make a purchase at Sears, Kmart, Lands End, mygofer, Craftsman, or Sears Outlet, and use their Shop Your Way Rewards membership online or in-stores you make money! If you have friends or family that shop at these stores, then this could be an easy way to earn money too with no cost to be a personal shopper at all and basically no time required.
How it works?
To start, you first need to sign up to be a member of Shop Your Way Rewards. Then you can start recruiting your friends, who will sign up as “clients”. You can add them as your client either through Facebook, Gmail, Yahoo, or just entering their email address.
You can then create a catalog from the different stores, and suggest items from your catalog to your friends. As you start to play with this, it’s a lot like a Pinterest for shopping but it is a neat feature if you know of some things that your friends might be looking for. For example, a friend that we know is in the market for new appliances and a lawnmower. So I can pull ideas together for him and shoot him the details. Now I’ll earn a 1% commission on all the purchases that he makes either online with his Shop Your Way Card number in-store. This is also very simple for friends that are just regular in-store shoppers. If their card is linked to you, you earn 1% on everything they spend and didn’t even have to work for it!
When you have $20 in earnings you get a check mailed out to you. The mail checks each month. Also once you have more than 20 clients, you’ll then start to get 2% commission.
