Summer is probably the most inexpensive season to decorate your home for. One of the cheapest ways to freshen your home without spending any money is by simply opening the curtains. Let the light in to make a big impact on your home. Other than that, here are a few other inexpensive ways to decorate in summer on a budget.
8 Ways to Decorate in Summer on a Budget
New Pillow Covers
Sometimes simple changes like a fresh pillow cover is all it takes. If you can’t find a summery pillow cover you love, buy some fabric and make one yourself. You can keep switching the covers out every season or whenever you get bored of one cover.
Outdoor Lighting
Summer brings a few extra hours of sunlight which usually means we end up spending a lot more time outside. Find some inexpensive string lights or hanging lanterns to go around the porch or patio.

Swap Out Art
Switch out dark pieces of art or something fresh, exciting and bright. Take the painting of leafless branches off the wall and change it for a painting of pretty flowers. Try getting your kids in on it and have them paint something colorful for the house.
Update Old Furniture
You’ve hated the color of that old, wooden chair. Grab some chalk paint and put a fresh coat of paint on it.

New Candles
Head to Home Goods (that’s where I find my favorite candles) or anywhere else you love the candle scents and pick out something new. A new scent can make a home feel completely different.
Plants
Pick up some small plants for only a few dollars from the nursery or home improvement store. Put the plants in fancy jars or containers you have around your home. Put them in sunny corners o your home that may be forgotten in every other season.

Bring in Flowers
Grab a bouquet of flowers next time you’re in the store. It doesn’t have to cost a ton of money. Publix has bundles of flowers for only $4 each. Put it in a pretty vase and place them somewhere you’ll see them often. If you don’t want to spend money on real flowers, pick up some silk flowers.
Spruce Up the Bathroom
Bathrooms are a small space, which means little changes can go a long way. Find some brightly colored, inexpensive new towels and bath mat to freshen up the bathroom.
