Baby showers can be so fun. You get to shower someone you love and the little baby that’s to come with a cute and fun gift, specially picked out for them. But those gifts can also be pricey and all those showers you’re invited to can add up.

Here’s a list of some of my favorite inexpensive baby shower gift ideas. Some of them are DIY and all of them are practical.

Inexpensive Baby Shower Gift Ideas:

stickers

Monthly Stickers

These stickers are a great way to document how your child is growing. Simply place the appropriate month’s sticker on a plain white bodysuit, snap a picture, and you’ll be able to see the progress! There are a bunch on Amazon to choose from, too.

burp cloths

No-Sew Burp Cloths

If you love the idea of homemade burp cloths, but sewing isn’t one of your fortes, it can be a little intimidating. But here are some instructions on how to do it with no sewing required! Use fabrics that complement the baby’s nursery, favorite sports team, or monogram.

cupcake onesie

Cupcake Onesies

Grab a pack of Onesies, some socks, and a few paper supplies and you’re ready to make a set of Cupcake Onesies. The delivery is super cute and the gift itself is really practical.

gift-basket

Gift Basket

A gift basket is pretty much always appreciated. It doesn’t have to be extravagant. Find a little basket, use a receiving blanket as a liner, and put a few baby necessities in it: diaper cream, a pack of wipes, or a book.

outlet cover

Safety Items

Before parents know it, their babies start crawling and scooting and getting into things. Help the parents-to-be out by giving them things like outlet covers and cabinet latches that can keep baby out of harm’s way.

gift card

Photo Prints Gift Card

After baby comes, there will be tons of pictures taken – tons. And that’s a good thing. Make it easier on Mom & Dad and give them a gift card to a photo website like Shutterfly! Put it in a bag with a tube of my favorite diaper cream (Boudreaux’s Butt Paste) and you’ve got a cute gift.

blanket

Baby Blanket

Babies can’t really have too many blankets. They inevitably become not only tools for warmth, but burp cloths, milk wiper-uppers, and poop magnets. There are so many out there to choose from: get one that matches the mom’s style or the baby’s nursery.

diapers

Diapers

I know this one seems really boring, but it’s basically the most practical baby shower gift you can give. They’re guaranteed to be used and are always appreciated. Use coupons to get an even better deal on them!
