Last year, my good friend Jen from Balancing Beauty and Bedlam and I jumped into new territory… head first. As women, I think we are constantly looking for ways to keep up with the Jones’. We spend so much time and effort trying to be what we think others are, that we forget about taking care of what’s in our house and family. Jen and I wanted to create a weekend where we could all learn ways to become more creative, purposeful and frugal and we wanted our readers to join the journey with us. We wanted you to feel empowered and equipped to make the everyday wonderful.
So, that’s the story of how our annual Becoming Conference came to life. We had such a blast last year at our first annual conference and can’t wait to see many of you this year!
Last year we covered everything from personal finances and couponing, to re-purposing and creating for your home. At Becoming 2012 we’ve decided to broaden our horizons by adding photography, hair, make up and fashion, as well as an optional hands on Furniture Painting and Crafting Workshop that will take place on Friday afternoon (at an additional cost). I don’t know how you’ll be able to choose which ones you’re going to attend, because they all sound so great!

Becoming 2012 takes place Sept. 21 – 22 in Asheville, NC. Since we are all about being intentional with our finances, the cost for the entire conference will once again only be approximately $100 (based on a standard room double occupancy. Specific room details to come). This includes the conference fee, three meals and hotel accommodations.
We will not be opening reservations until the end of June, so if you would like to be updated on new announcements and registration info, feel free to sign up for the Becoming email newsletter and Becoming Facebook page, so you don’t miss out on anything. Last year, the event sold out on the first day, and we assume that could happen again.
