Thanksgiving has its pies, but when it comes to Christmas desserts, I think cookies are the classic Christmas treat. Once Thanksgiving is over, I love picking four or five cookie recipes to make over the weeks leading up to Christmas. We take them to parties, give them as gifts, and even invite friends over to help make them for a fun December activity. And, of course, we eat them!
Over the years our family has found many recipes that we consider “our” Christmas cookies, but there are even more recipes that are considered classic Christmas cookies and that would be welcome at any party or event. I’m planning to make some to take to a Christmas recipe swap at our church this week!
