Hasbro Baby Alive Plan ‘n Style Doll
Retails: $25
This is not your typical pretend to pee baby doll! This doll has hair styling tools including a pretend hairdryer, brush, comb, hair extension, and barrette. Mama tip: remember to warn your child that if they cut the doll’s hair, it will not grow back. We like to avoid hard life lessons on Christmas Day.
My Little Pony Rarity Boutique
Retails: $24
This is a fun play set for any girl who loves My Little Pony. You can flip the pages of the play set to have pony’s bedroom, bathroom, or dressing room as the backdrop. My favorite part is that it folds like a book for easy storage or take on the go. The set includes a 3 inch rarity pony and themed accessories.
Hexbug Aquabot Jellyfish
Retails: $14.99
This is a fun little jellyfish that’s a good compromise if your kids really want a pet, but are not ready for the responsibility of one. This jellyfish swims with its tentacles and a motor, plus it comes programmed with 15 swimming routines. Be sure to put it in a tall water container so it can go up and down. We couldn’t find a tall container in our house, so we used a trifle dish and it was a little anti-climactic. If the jellyfish goes to sleep, you can then tap on the glass to wake it up.
Candy Craft Chocolate Pen
Retails: $25
What’s more fun than being able to write with chocolate. This pen dispenses real chocolate that will harden at room temperature or when place in the refrigerator. The kit includes different colored chocolate tubes, molds, and multiple tips. My girls love to make and craft, so they’re really excited about this one. This year they entered cupcakes in the fair, but I wish we would have had this one for them to make designs to top their cupcakes. Now we’re prepared to bring home next year’s blue ribbon for cupcakes!
Cloud B SuperMax the Turtle
Retails: $22
This turtle lets you get the effect of stars on the ceiling without having to actually put anything on your ceiling. You just press a button and it lights up the room with stars. It is designed to help children outgrow their fear of the dark and automatically shuts off after 45 minutes. A portion of the sales are donated to the MaxLove Project, a nonprofit organization that fights childhood cancer. I love the SuperMax turtle because he’s small enough for us to easily pack in a bag and take with us when we’re traveling. He fits perfectly on my girl’s bedside table.
The Ladybug Game
Retails: $15
This age group is ready for entry level games with rules. This is a fun game that introduces math concepts but no reading is required to be able to play.
Razor Scooter
Retails: $27
Encourage outdoor play and development of motor skills with a scooter. This is a great toy to get kids outside, but don’t forget to grab a helmet too.
VTech Kidizoom Smartwatch DX
Retails: $55
This is by far the most expensive item on this list but it is one cool toy. It has 3 fun activities, 5 games, 3 action challenges and a motion sensor. Your kids can even take pictures & videos with this watch then add photo effects. It also has a calendar and calculator.
Scientific Explorer My First Mind Blowing Science Kit
Retails: $14
This kit includes everything you need for 11 science experiments. It has step-by-step instructions and includes what parents need to know to explain it all to the kids.
Disney Frozen Acoustic Guitar
Retails: $36
This guitar is designed especially for young players. It also includes Learn-A-Chord cards to help the child get started playing. While you’re at it, you can also grab this for yourself.
