Are you growing a little tired of the wrapping paper, cookies and tons of other fundraisers that you are guilted into buying? There are some great ways to help your school, homeschool, troop etc. without spending any extra money! Here are my top 5 ways to help out (and one even makes you some money too):
- Box Tops for Education
Take 2 seconds and clip, rip or tear off the box tops off hundreds of items sold in the store. These are all worth 10¢ each and they do add up quickly when you start to notice how much in pantry is participating. The great part with box tops — homeschool groups are also eligible! My girls are the keepers of box tops. I rip them off as we finish a product and leave them on the counter and they clean up my tearing by actually cutting them out and putting them in our baggy. See more about the program and how to register your school/group. - Campbell’s Soup Labels
Clip the UPC off participating items (Campbell’s, V8, BIC, Pepperidge Farm, Pace Swanson). Labels earn points that can be redeemed in the Labels for Education catalog on sports, academic and art equipment. See more about the program. - Sell Old Phones & Tablets
Have some old technology sitting around? You can sell it online and earn money for yourself and your school at the same time! You get every penny your item is worth and MaxBack gives a 10% donation to your school of choice. I’d say everyone wins here. This runs through FundingFactory which can also raise money for local troops and other organizations. - Grocery Partner Savings
The simplest way to help your school is by linking your grocery store card to your school. For Publix shoppers pick up a Publix partners card from your school. Every time you shop, scan your card at the register and the store gives a percentage of your purchase back to your school. There is no cost to you at all!
Details by store: Kroger, Publix, Bi-Lo, Harris Teeter - Smile.Amazon
Shop through Smile.Amazon.com and your charity/school gets a percentage back from what you’ve purchased from Amazon. You still get the items you want (even free prime shipping) and they earn too.
Do you have any other ways you know to give back without spending money you don’t have??
