Saving money is largely based on knowing when to shop! If you’ve got any big ticket back to school items then be sure to take advantage of this years Tax FREE Days! This is an amazing time to buy school supplies or any expensive product. Keep in mind that the savings isn’t that great for small purchases… you are really wanting to use this for computers, big clothing purchases etc.
Here is a list of all the Tax Free Shopping dates by state. Keep in mind they each have different limits and most of them are on the value of the item. So if it says clothing $100 or less, that means any clothing item that is priced $100 or less will be tax free. It doesn’t matter how many items you buy, but that their value not be above the limit. Lousianna and South Carolina have the most flexible programs with no value limits.
