I have always wanted to try a FoodSaver vacuum sealer, so finally I got brave and just asked them if I could review one and of course give one away to you guys. My unit arrived this week and we tore into it and then searched the house for things to seal. I kind of felt like a 5 year old playing with a new toy, but it’s just plain fun to see it suck everything down and completely seal it.
What is a FoodSaver? A FoodSaver is a vacuum sealing system that takes all of the air out of a bag of food, but it locks in the flavor. Foods stay fresh for up to 5 times longer and won’t get freezer burn for years since they don’t come in contact with cold, dry air. I’m really tired of buying meat in bulk but then after a month or two not being able to tell what type of meat it is thanks to freezer burn being all over it.
For me if I can buy in bulk and not fight freezer burn that’s a massive amount of money saved! I’m not throwing away a ton of food that has gone bad because we haven’t had time to eat it. We love to buy produce in season and store it for the winter so this is a huge help!! I know for some of you the thought of paying for a unit when normal zipper bags are less than $1 on sale is hard, but for us the amount that we freeze this really is awesome to have no freezer burn. In the end counting in the value of the food it makes sense to me to pay a little more to store the food if I now can store the food 10 times longer!
I must admit, it took me once or twice to get the hang of the machine, but once I effectively vacuum sealed my first thing we were off vacuum sealing half the freezer getting rid of the traditional freezer bags.
One other thing I hope to play with this week, is prepping meats before freezing with seasonings and marinades, then sealing them and having dinner already marinated and ready to go!

I think I would save at least $200. Those things are awesome!! Thanks for the giveaway!
I think I could save A couple hundred!!
I would probably save 200-300 dollars per year. We waste a lot of food :-(
I think I could save close to $500.00. Because I could buy more and freeze it.

I believe I could save at least $400 a year by using the Food Saver. I end up throwing away frost-bitten vegetables, and meat that I’m not sure is good or bad. This would save a ton of money from food waste, and from countless zipper freezer bags!!
I have no idea how much money I’d save, but I’m willing to do an “experiment” to find out! :-)
If I have to guess, I’d say anywhere from $300-400!
I can’t tell you how much food I’ve tried to freeze and ended up throwing away because it was all iced on top! I would love to get one of these to start buying more in bulk and split packages
I bet I could save over $300 a year with the food saver!

I think I can could easily save $400-$500 a year. But if I won, I would be willing to track it to find out for sure!
i think i would save tons! i only shop every 2 weeks so i buy in bulk lots!! how about 600.00!!!
I’d guess we could save a couple hundred…I hate frost on food and lose a lot that way!
This would be amazing! We are a family of 5….need I say more? LOL I make a lot of meals to freeze ahead & have wanted a foodsaver for a very long time….this would be awesome :)
I know that I could be able to SAVE at least $1000.00!! I have a big family with teenage boys and a chronic muncher. We have started a garden to help eating organically and when I stumble upon an organic meat couponing deal I stock my freezer full! This would help us tremendously!
I think I could save several hundreds of dollars with the FoodSaver!!
i also like the foodsaver on fb!
Exciting giveaway! I honestly have no idea how much I would save with a FoodSaver — we are just about to buy a spare freezer this week and this would be an awesome partner for it. But I think the combination of a chest freezer and a food saver means that I could save at least 50% more on my meat purchases, and probably close to as much on produce (not to mention how yummy it is when it’s seasonal!)
we had 2 food saver but i think we wore ’em out, during deer season we processed so much meat to put in freezer with them and then through out the year we always bought in bulk and put in freezer i9n smaller portions, They came in so handy but now we can’t afford one with everything being so expensive , we can’t even buy in bulk
I like FoodSaver on FaceBook!!

I think my family could save about $500 a year. We eat some type of meat product every Friday, Saturday, & Sunday. So every week I am buying steaks, pork, chicken, in bulk. We could really use this. Thanks for the giveaway!

At LEAST $500. I just burned mine up from overuse (but I was ready for the new pretty ones anyways…). Mine was boring white but I wouldn’t give in to buying a new one until it gave up. Maybe you can keep me from buying the new one!

I loved my FoodSaver! And I say loved because mine broke and we could not afford to purchase another one at this time:( But we used it ALL the time! It was so nice to be able to take advantage of the meat sales and buy in bulk and then seal it and stash it in the freezer! You also didn’t have to worry about fresh fruit and vegatables going bad because it worked great for those too! Love, Love, LOVE the food saver and would recommend it to anyone!!! We probably saved an average of $450 a year I would say.

I think that I could save $656.00!
:)
I now follow FoodSaver on Facebook!
Oh goodness, I would have to estimate saving at least a couple of hundred of dollars. Would love to have one of these!!
I can save a few hundred dollars. But I love making my own baby food….and I can make a bunch at at time and vaccum seal it to save for later!
I could save well over $500.00 a year with a food saver. When there is a good sale at the store, I love to buy the family packs and freeze the meats. The freezer bags just don’t seem to help at times.
I can’t BEGIN to imagine the amount of money I would save. Not only is my food wasted when it gets freezer burn, but I dump LOTS of money into bags for the hand pumped typr vacuum system (that shall remain unnamed!) :) I’ve been considering one of these for some time, while the food burns away. I would love to have one! Pick me! :)
I know I could save at least $400 a year with the Foodsaver. I like to buy discounted meat and being able to freeze it much longer than the traditional way without freezer burn is a huge bonus! Plus, I love the idea of prepping meats with seasonings and marinades!!!
I could probably save a few hundred dollars a year!!! That would be awesome!
My goal is to produce as much food as possible in our own garden and can/freeze as much as possible for winter storage. If I could eliminate buying produce from the grocery store I could save hundreds!
One could save a ton of money with one of these.
I liked foodsaver on FB!
I think I could save ~$500 – $700 in a year. Many things can vacuum seal and be used later. Homemade baby food, fresh fruit for smoothies, all sorts of vegetables and cuts of meat. Chicken and ground beef bought in bulk and vacuumed seal would be great. I’m most excited about trying the marinade idea!
Probably a couple hundred.
I would venture I could save at least $500.00.
Liked on facebook!
My Mom has one and it saves her a fortune because she puts everything from the garden in the bags, sucks the air, then into the freezer. It is amazing the things she has pulled out a year later and they taste like you just picked them. It is a great machine and I would LOVE to have one. I think you could easily save $1,000/year.
I don’t know how much we would save, we don’t buy much meat but I would love one! I would probably buy more meat to store and save if I had one!
Hmm, I am looking into food saver for this very reason! I’d love to be able to buy bulk meat and package and freeze it myself. For my family of 7 I know it would easily run into hundreds of dollars of savings!
Don’t know how much money I would save, but I am sure it is a lot. I love to stock up and put things in the freezer. I need one of these. It would be great to WIN this.
I save probably 500 per year. My husband hunts alot so putting up meat, fish and other thing would save us alot. We alway went and used other peoples. They also great for cheese makes it last longer.
We have owned a Food Saver for ten years and literally ‘wore it out’; with the economy the way it is, can’t purchase another one. So, here goes, maybe we’ll win this one.
I think I could easily save about $800 a year. It would be great for sealing and saving all of the food that I end up throwing away.
I know I could save several hundred dollars – bought one for my son-in-law and he LOVES it for freezing deer and fish. We enjoy fresh deer and fish when we visit all year long! I NEED ONE FOR ME!!
I think I could easily save about $800 a year. It would be great for
sealing and saving all of the food that I end up throwing away.
I have never had a FoodSaver but I bet I could save at least $200 a year if I used this product. Maybe I will get to find out.
I am guessing I would save around $400 or so. I am afraid to purchase meals too far in advance because I end up throwing most out. I am paranoid about bad food but this would not only save me from buying ziploc bags but save me from many trips to the grocery store! I hate shopping so getting more food in one trip and not worrying about it going bad would really make momma happy :)
I think I would save hundreds !!!! I would use it probally daily :) It could also be handy for “non-freezer” items as well !!!!!
I think we would save 500 dollar a year. I love buying meat in bulk but sometimes pass up a deal for fear we won’t get to eat it before it freezer burns. This would also work great with the freeze my grandma gave us a couple of month ago
Oh my goodness! With the cost of everything nowadays I would probably have to estimate that it would save between $350-$500. I’ve looked at items like this before and with all the accessories and container options I would never be throwing food out – we could keep all sorts of things fresh for months!!
We had one and I know we saved hundreds a year. I loved it because I could also vacuum seal sugar and flour when I found it on sale and not worry about weevils getting into the flour. I would love to win this one and track our savings..
I ‘like’ them on Facebook!!!
I think I could say a lot of money simply because I cook for one! Especially in gas to go to the grocery store! This could help a lot, probably to the tune of $300 a year. My mom always used it at home and I tried to take it when I moved….but she noticed!
Already “like” them and have the older model :) I would LOVE LOVE LOVE this newer version!!! We save a TON already but I know with this newer model we could save at least $100.00 a yr on the bags alone. With the one I have you still use up more than you actually need due needing enough to put in the vacuum chamber, but with this one I feel like that is eliminated thus saving even more!
Being single I can probably save at least 100 dollars a year if not more.
I think I can save about $200 on my food bill
Foodsaver will save you lots of $ on frozen foods..No freezer burn, that’s for sure. I would love to get another one. I would think I save $500-$700 by using the machine.
I’m sure I could save at least $400. a year! I could take advantage of sales that I’m unable to do now. If I win I will let you know exactly how much I save! Thanks!
I have wanted one of these for several years! I imagine I would save $1000.00 if I had one!
I think we could save around $479.00 a year! I would love to have a Foodsaver. I have never owned one!
Cooking for one is tough! I could probably save around $300 a year, especially in buying bulk and not having to go the grocery store every couple days! My mom always used this growing up.
I “liked” Foodsaver several months ago ;-)
I could save a ton of money with this product!!!! I sure could use the Food Saver.
I’m sure I could save several hundred dollars, at least! I’d love to have one of these babies. Thanks for the chance to win!! :)
I liked Foodsaver on Facebook
I think I could save $400-$500 a year. I’d love to win one of these!
I bet I could save over $300 a year with the food saver!
I have an older one that needs some repair. I would love a newer model! I already save a hundred or so per year.
I don’t think I can even put a price on how much money and time winning this item would save, but if I have to I would say about $500 a year. I am always having to throw things out of the freezer from freezer burn. I have a friend that owns a FoodSaver and they say it is amazing. I’m getting excited just thinking about it!! :)
With a family of 6, I think we could easily, easily save over $500 a year! I do have the ziplock vacuum system, but lately, I cannot find the bags anymore! :(
I think I could save ~$500 – $700 in a year. Many things can vacuum seal and be used later.
Homemade baby food, fresh fruit for smoothies, all sorts of fresh vegetables
from our garden and cuts of meat. Chicken and ground beef bought in bulk and vacuumed
seal would be great. I’m most excited about trying the marinade idea!
Within a year, I bet I could easily save $2000 if not more (family of 6!)
I would save hundreds! With two kids the freezer is always full and it is so frustrating when you save on a great deal then have to throw it away due to freezer burn.
I would guess about $400. We have two refrigerator/freezers and one chest freezer so the FoodSaver would get used a significant amount.
I have been looking into buying a FoodSaver for some time now. I’m sure we would save $100’s by having one of these. I would use it more for left overs and the the fresh veggies and fruits we pick in the summer … those are the thing we tend to have to throw out. I “Liked” on Facebook!
Foodsaver is AWESOME!!! I’ve had one for years! My husband and I were apart for more than a year living in other states. I would prepare meals for him in seal them in the bags. All he had to do was microwave them and he had home cooked meals!! I make spaghetti sauce in a huge pot and then seal it in the bags. I don’t have to make it for at least 5 months!! We love it. We even package the dry dog food into packages so the contents fit in our counter top container. Bags are a bit pricey but Foodsaver has some good deals sometimes and Costco sells a large box at a good price. Well worth it!!! Between gas and food, I bet we can save over $1000 a year. Would love to have this newer model!
I’m sure this would save me a few hundred a year. I would’t toss as much freezer burned food,a nd I stock up more when the price is right.
I would love to have one of these machines but they are out of my budget for now. But I would save close to $300 a year with one of these fab machines.
I have liked them on facebook too.
Thanks!
I “liked” Foodsaver on Facebook!
Foodsaver is a moneysaver.I see savings of $ 500 + a year if I get to own one.
i would imagine a savings of at least $1000 in a year, considering the ability to freeze premade meals, meats, etc….instead of throwing out those freezer burnt items! i would also split of large meals and use the system to freeze half of it for another day (knowing that all the leftovers wont get eaten and just thrown out)
I love my little foodsaver. It saves lots of money already, I freeze individual portions of leftovers for my husband to grab and take for his lunches…savings of at least $20 a week already. Being able to freeze larger items for our family of six would at least double that!!
I would definitely start buying more in bulk and freezing if I had a Foodsaver. Plus, I wouldn’t have the throw out what was freezer burned before we had a chance to eat it! That would be fabulous!! I’m sure several hundred dollars could be saved! Thanks for the opportunity to win fun stuff on SS!
Let’s try this again. I could save a ton of money with the Food Saver. I sure hope that I can WIN this one. Thanks for letting me enter.
I have been looking into buying a FoodSaver for some time now. I’m sure

this would be a blessing, all the money i could save by buying meat in bulk! i would love to have one!
Hi, I get so frustrated when I buy meat at a discount only to open it later to find freezer burns. I know I could save at least a hundred dollar and more by using a FoodSaver. Thanks for your hard work!
I think I would easily save $1,000.00. If I have to throw away anymore moldy cheese I will just die. And when you have teenage kids, they always open things (which lets all the air in) and then they don’t close the bag properly…or they don’t close it at all! LOL! This could be used to pre-package meals which would save money and provide a more healthy alternative to packaged portions of meals. I would like to win one because my husband won’t let me buy one even though I have TRIED to explain how the savings would help us over the year. Sigh.
We have extremely busy schedules that flutuate on a dime, so we could save $500/year easy with a FoodSaver.
i liked foodsaver on facebook! interesting to see all the pics of foods that people have “saved” with their foodsavers!
$500 a year
i would save at least 250.00 a year!
three to five hundred a year easy
FoodSavers are a wonderful product. I’m due for a new one. I have almost worn my out! I love to know that there is no oxygen inside the package to ruin my food. I save hundreds every year with the Food Saver!
I could probably save $600 in a year. How cool would that be.
I would love to have one of these machines but they are out of my budget for now. But I would save close to $300 a year with one of these fab machines.
Thanks!
i liked them on fb
I would love to be stocked up on meat when the price is right and not have to worry about freezer burn! I think we could save at least $300!
I’m sure I could save tons. I started couponing in may and my freezer is full of meats that would last even longer
I would guess it is easily $800. If you figure most of your grocery shopping is for meat.Who can’t pass up the deal of chicken, steak porkchops when you see them? Then you go home and freeze them, 1 month later you want to eat it and it is so white you can’t tell what it is..YUCK! This would be be so helpful around my house and my husband would love that is wallet isn’t so thin anymore. Although with the money I save there……….hmmmm….. Thank you Southern Savers!
I liked Foodsavers on facebook.
I would say somewhere in the 1000-1500 saved per year range
Looks like a good way to save food
I’d save tons on items that will stay fresh and I won’t have to throw away due to freezer burn. Thanks for this opportunity.
I have no idea how much I could save, but I have wanted to try one of these for a long time. I do end up throwing away alot of frozen food due to freezer burn.
probably around $500.
i would save alot using a food saver, there is no telling how much maybe close 500-600. It would make the quilty of my meat so much better though. Because i buy in large packages( reduced meat ) and break into to smaller ones for my family of 5 to save money . And the freezer bags are not always great at keeping the ice off them .
Thank you for the chance to win one
Hundreds of dollars a year could be saved! I buy meat on sale and so much of it ends up getting tossed. This would be a lifesaver!
I could probably save close to $400 on my food b/c we buy alot of meat.
With it being me and my husband a few hundred dollars at least! I would love to have one of these. I’ve been contemplating purchasing one for a while now.
And it says on there up to $2700 saved per year, THATS A FAMILY VACAY!!!
Although I have spent this summer canning everything I could – these Food Savers are worth every penny if you buy one…..you can easily save hundreds……
I like Foodsaver on facebook
I know I would save a ton of money per year by using the foodsaver. My family has a big garden every year and we freeze most of it for winter use. We also hunt deer and wild turkey to feed our family and process the meat ourselves. I would love to have a foodsaver system!!!
I know we would save a lot of money on fresh fruit and meat that always seems to go bad or get freezer burn before we can use it! Probably upwards of $300!
I could easily save $800.00 to 900.00. We buy large quantities of meat on sale and freeze!
Saving a few hundred dollars a years would be great but the biggest benefit of owning a vacuum sealer would be how much time it would save me. I would be able to vacuum precooked meats, soups, desserts, herbs, seasonings, and so much more.
I like to cook ahead of time but end up having to eat the same thing all week. With a vacuum sealer I could cook several meals, freeze them, and eat something different every night.
I think we could save well over $300 a year on list food by using the Food Saver
I liked FoodSaver on Facebook! Thanks for the great giveaway!
This would be awesome! I would save so much by buying in bulk. Every time I try to freeze food it always seems to get freezer burn! I would estimate I could save $300 easy!
Julie
$800.00 to 900.00. We buy large quantities of meat on sale and freeze!
I can’t imagine how much this would save! I would love to have one. It seems every time I try to buy on sale and put something in the freezer, it ends up with freezer burn. We have an older freezer too which probably doesn’t help! Thanks for the opportunity.
I would hope to save around $600.00 a year!
So tired of getting food, especially meat out of the freezer and seeing it freezer-burned. With a family of 6, I could save hundreds!!
I like foodsaver on facebook
Wow! I think I could save about $500 a year. I would love to have one.
i have “liked” foodsaver on FB…
I could probably save $400 a year or more. We freeze alot of items and would be great for storing food for backpacking.
I love love love my foodsaver! Unfortunately it is on its last leg. I have plum worn it out. I use it for everything! I always buy our meat in bulk. I am pretty sure we have saved well over $1000 on just meat. I was blown away by that number when I did the math too! But I usually buy 10lb – 20lbs of chicken when it is on sale, which around here is about every other week. I also use it for freezing vegetables from our garden and even marinating meat! And resealing bags, it helps keep lettuce from turning so fast and chips from getting stale.
I could save 600. to 800. a year because I would be able to buy bulk. I also liked them on facebook :)
I think I could save $100 a month by buying meats on sale in bulk as well as produce for my 2 grown sons and 2 daughters.
I think I could save at least $800 a year with FoodSaver. I throw out so much food because of freezer burn.
Liked them on Facebook too.
I send food to Costa Rica and this would just help preserve the food while it takes a month long in transit and the battering the regular bags take just wont hold as well as I imagine these air tight sealed ones can take. Though I will defo try this for my household as well if I got one :)
i would save at least 300.00
I think we could save well over $300 a year on list food by using the Food Saver
I believe that the amount of money that can be saved is based on the great savings of bulk meat sales available! I am ready to try!
I like Food Saver on Face Book
my grocery bill would be cut in half considering i have a big family i could probably save about $1,000 a year!
No more freezer burn! I’d probably save a couple hundred dollars. I’ve always wanted one.
Prob about $500.00. I throw so much food away due to freezer burn. I would LOVE this.
I would love to have one of these! It’s just me and the hubs, we are newlyweds :) and I feel like so much goes to waste! I am sure we could save a few hundred dollars each year using one of these!
I love food saver ! I am sure we can save a few hundred dollars a year.
I think this machine would be great, with a potential to save my family over a hunderd dollars a year . What a great idea.
I’m sure it would be a few hundred since there are only 2 of us. But any money that can be saved is a wise thing. Would love to win so I can try it on my frozen items. TY
Since I live alone, I could save quite a bit of money. I like to buy in bulk for saving but many times my items have freezer burn on them by the time I get a chance to cook them (chicken is the worst!). I have about 3 different “food savers” gadgets but when I go back to buy bags at the store, the bags are usually discontinued. FoodSaver has been around for a long time and I know I wouldn’t have problems finding replacment bags for it. My parents have had one for many years and just won’t give it up to me!!!
We could easily save $500+/year with one of these! Would love to have one :)
We have a ton of leftovers – a lot of which gets thrown out. I could probably save about $720 per year + save on prep time for future meals!
I KNOW you can save money with FoodSaver. I have had one for years! It includes the canisters. I seal EVERYTHING! We have a garden and it keeps food protected and fresh. It saves on space in your freezer too! I divide large packages of meat into smaller sizes. I seal up bulk yeast, coconut, chocolate chips, nuts, brown sugar, most any item used for baking. You can seal berries if you flash freeze them first. Pre-pat burgers, freeze them. They thaw so quick. No need to wait on the whole store size package to thaw to make burgers. So helpful on busy evenings!
I would LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to have a new one. Mine has just about given out. I think the seal is finally wearing out from use. The new model also has a space saving design that makes it more counter friendly. If I could keep it out ALL the time no telling what ways I could find to use it! Everything would be vacuum seal fresh!
Hmm…I’m not sure. We already do some freezer meals that we label, but we still throw out lots of “unknowns.” I imagine we could save $300 or more.
With high food prices, a $1000 a year would be an easy call.
I can’t even imagine how much I would save each month let alone a year! Hundreds of dollars possible more cause I stopped buying the bigger (cheaper) packs of meats & buying more of the smaller ones. They work better for me keeping it in the original pack & not a freezer bag. I have been looking into them for a while but to get a good one would be out of my budget right now. It would be awesome to win one!! By the way your class in Spartanburg was great!
I could save easily $200-$300 a year with this!
could save tons of money! plus being able to freeze fresh veggies & fruit – awesome!!
Wow would love to win this and think a person could save hundreds of dollars a year possibly close to a thousand as we throw away so much!
I liked them on FB
Wow I would love to be able to freeze things better! I only have to stock up for 2 right now, but I would be using this for years to come. Could save $100s!!!
I imagine that I could save over $5,000. Besides being able to save frozen food longer, I will be more able to make my own food when ingredients are on great sales and then keep them in the freezer until we need them! I have a a stand up freezer with lots of space! Also, if we process our own venison this year, we will be able to keep meat in the freezer for almost nothing all year long!
I would LOVE to have a FoodSaver!!!! I already have a chest freezer but traditional freezer bags don’t always work well and you end up with freezer-burn!! It is hard to save exactly how much you could save but I would think it would be a lot. I like the idea of pre-seasoning and then freezing. It would make dinner time so much faster!
My family could save tons of money with one of these. We do lots of fishing and shrimping and hunting. We also buy meat in bulk. Not only would we save money with one of these I imagine tons of space in our freezers. I would love to have one of these but have never tried one. Saving several hundreds a year sounds great to me:)
I would love to have one of these! It’s just the hubs and I (we are newlyweds) and we waste so much food since it’s hard cooking for two. This would help save a few hundred a year I am sure with all the freezing we could do!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE FOOD SAVER. I BOUGHT ONE OVER 10 YEARS AGO AND I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BUY IN BULK AND SAVE QUITE A BIT OVER THE YEARS. I DO THINK HAVING A NEW ONE WOULD BE NICE.
Not sure how much money I would save. Guessing at least more than 200. a year with what has to be thrown out. Have always wanted one, but felt it was a splurge. With a family of 5 needs vs wants. Would love to have one. ;)
Liked on FB.
I like FoodSaver on FB.
I bet my family could save $400 or better with having this great vacuum sealer. I’m taking into account the cost of freezer bags and lost meat due to freezer burn.
I would love a food saver, just got my freezer and know I would save thousands of dollars over the years if I had a food saver to start stocking up.
I’m sure we could save several hundred dollars!
I’m not sure how much I could save but I think it would be a LOT. Sure hope I win.
Not Entering – I have one. and I love it.
I bought my first one at a yard sale – can you believe it? It was $2.00, but I also bought a pasta maker which was $10.00. I talked the lady in to selling me both for $7.00, because it was all I had!
I just ‘upgraded’ to the vacuum seal type with canister attachment. It works great and I can’t imagine putting food in the freezer with out it.
We even use it to protect camping items (matches, sugar, salt, flour) in between camping adventures during the summer!
I’d probably save over $100. Freezer burn is such a pain and repackaging would be MUCH easier with a foodsaver.
Also liked on facebook! Love me some Southern Savers!!
Wow, this would save us probably hundreds each year! I freeze a lot and I really try to keep things in check, but it never fails…..I end up throwing things away! That really breaks my heart!!! I would LOVE to win this! Thanks Jenny!
probably 300-500
I’m sure we could save several hundred dollars!
I’m guessing I would save about $300-$500 a year with one of these!
i liked foodsaver on fb
This would save a fortune for me. We actually go in with a friend each year, and buy a whole cow. You can save a lot of money by doing that, since you get all of your beef (steaks, ribs, ground beef) for one price across the board. A meat processor will do all the cuts for you, and voila. I need 1 of these!
I have not tried a vacum sealer but I am keen to try. I freeze just about everything. I think I could save $500.00 or more.
I hate throwing freezer burned food away. I would say $ 400 a year could be saved.
With 3 in college, our food consumption goes high high and then low low, so I think this would help me stock up while they are gone and have great, fresh tasting food when everyone lands back in the nest!!!
I could totally use this!! We have a garden andI would love to use the food saver to freeze vegetables. Not just the savings on the veggies but the zippy bags as well would save us a ton. I also by marked down meat and often the packages are less than perfect. The food saver would be great for re-packaging those as well. Savings of least $400 a year!!!!
I could save hundreds! I just cleaned out my freezer and defrosted last friday and tossed alot of stuff. Made me sick to think of all the money I was tossing in the garbage!
I have always thought that these would be such a money saver and it is great to hear your review and see there is a giveaway!!! I always want to buy more quantity of sale items but do not have the capacity to store it all. I would estimate saving at least $500 a year because I know we throw away a lot of food, even though I try really hard to plan well. I could also buy so much more at a time when it is on sale which adds up to a lot!!!! Thanks Jenny!!
I would LOVE to have a foodsaver. We use one at my church to keep food for dinners and it is great!! I could easily save a couple hundred dollars a year with one!
i had one and loved it but gave it to my daughter. we share it so a new one would be awesome. we make lots of dinners and freeze. ie: chicken pot pie, spaghetti sauce, meatballs, taco meat, casseroles, pies, etc. i buy bulk chicken, cook it , then store in meal size ready bags, saves soooo much time. i would save about 750.00 a year
And I could save a TON of money. I used to have one but have not been able to afford to buy another. I have used the Ziploc-brand bags with the little pump and they are good but not great like the FoodSaver. I would LOVE to have this product!! I could then stop paying for throw-away expensive bags plus continue to buy meat in bulk and have it last longer in the freezer.
I would save several hundred b/c there are only 2 of us in the family. But any amount of money saved is a wise saving!!!! Would love to try this!
I have used mine at least once per week and have probably saved over $1000 over the last couple years. I usually put half in the fridge and half in a foodsaver bag in the freezer.
I’d love to go buy a quarter of a cow and throw it in the deep freeze we just bought, but I’m so afraid it would get freezer burned before we could eat it all. Something like this would be wonderful. I was told I can get beef for about $2.25 a pound if I buy it like that – that’s a big savings when you consider the cost of steaks, roast, even ground chuck!
Would LOVE to have this! I think it would really help with once a month cooking! By having my freezer my freezers stocked with meals, I’d save easily $100 a month by skipping fast food!!
Wow! What a great idea. I’d love to win this. I think the potential for savings for our family must be in the hundreds of dollars per year.
I LIKED foodsaver on fb!!
Not sure how much money I would save. Guessing at least more than 200. a year with what has to be thrown out. Have always wanted one, but felt it was a splurge. With a family of 5 needs vs wants. Would love to have one. ;)
I know it would save on freezer burn but I would also like to use the FoodSaver to put up things I dehydrate like herbs, fruits and granola. Thank you for the opportunity to win!
I think we could save around $200-300 a year with a food saver! I’ve always wanted to try!!!
I would say that I could save $200-$300 per year with a FoodSaver.
We love foodsaver. It could easily save us several hundred dollars a year.
I would love to have a food saver. A friend of my mom’s had one when we were kids and my sister and I would go over to her house on sunday’s after church and help her “seal” up anything that she would have. She would save her groceries for us so we could “seal” it up. Looking back, she must have gone shoppng the night before to have the meat and veggies everyweek just for us!! A great memory! I would love to have one because I love to buy meat on sale and be able to freeze it as well without it getting freezer burn as well- and perhaps make cool memories with my kids as well!
WOW! I have seen and heard about these units. They look absolutely phenomenal, although, I have not been in a position to purchase one, I would imagine the savings could stack up fairly quickly. I am not a “bulk food” shopper though, but I think it would be great for those great meat sales and my leftovers. Sometimes, you just don’t want to eat 3 nights of spaghetti sauce – you know what I mean – Ha Ha! As for a dollar amount???? I would have to guess on that one, but probably $600.00 a year. That’s $50.00 a month, I think my math is pretty realistic, at least for me.
Good Luck Everybody!!!!!!
THANKS
I could probably save at least $500 a year. I would love to be able to freeze fruits and veggies as well as meats. I always buy extra meat on sale, but can’t buy too much due to freezer burn. This would really make a big difference!
My family of six could easily save hundreds of dollars using Food Saver. I would estimate $1000 easily. We would be so grateful if we won one!
I would be able to save a lot if I could stock up without worrying about freezer burn. It would be a great savings! I believe I could save at least $200-$300 a year
Oh what a dream this would be for me! I have wanted a foodsaver for the longest time.
On cereal alone, Ill bet 200.00 a year could be saved. But I have to admit, I would go CRAZY sealing meat (and most likely purchased reduced meats(daily) just so that I could use it more often)
When all is said and done, Im sure our family of 6 could save around $500.00- $700.00 a year!
Thanks for stepping up and asking if you could do this review!
AWESOME job!!!
This would be a huge money saver for my family. With my daughters very odd food/medical issues we can only use certain cuts of meat and it’s usually the ones that never go on a good sale. It would be great to build up a stockpile in my freezer.
At least a fefw hundred!
Between meats and fresh veggies that I freeze, we would save hundreds of dollars a year. This would be great! :)
I think I would save so much money useing the foodsaver system. Wow it would be great because I am a single person and everything is all so much. Thanks
It’s hard to say how much money that could be saved by using the food saver, $400.-$500. a year maybe. With this economy everything counts. This would be awesome!
I hate having freezer burn on food. You try so hard to save money everywhere you can then your freezer eats your money. I know I would save hundreds since we also have a small garden which I could make larger with a food saver.
FB fan
about $150-200
one billion dollars… lol. :)
and i liked foodsaver on fb. :)
Wow probably a couple of hundred dollars by buying meat in bulk! Not to mention buying and freezing fresh fruit!
I would imagine I could save a lot of money and mostly I could save myself from feeling sick every time I throw away badly freezer burned items that were too bad to salvage. I work really hard using coupons and shopping sales to stock the freezer, then that time, effort and money is down the drain when things are lost to freezer burn or even pantry staleness. The foodsaver would be a huge help! I would guess I toss about $100-300 in stale/freezer burned food a year (that estimate is after coupons too!).
I think I would save $50-$100. If food even hints of the freezer burn smell, I cannot eat it.
We could save at least 500 a year! I used to own one and then it broke! They are great.
I think I could save at least $500.
$50 a month at least!
I am so tired of throwing out meat with freezer burn. What a waist. I am sure it would depend on how much you use it but I would say you could save over $650. a year at least with a good food saver. What a blessing! Maybe even more if you have a large family.
I would love to be able to use a foodsaver. I would probably save at least $800 because not only would I be able to freeze meats, I could save vegetables and other things that get freezer burn. It would also cut down on some of the weekly shopping trips.
i can’t even imagine how much we would save! i’ve wanted to get one for a couple of years and since my husband is vegetarian, i can’t buy just one steak, usually, and don’t want to eat two before they go bad, so in the freezer it goes! i think i’d save at least $1000. i really need to see how much these things cost and get one!
i get 10 lbs of fresh chicken at a time…this would make it last that much longer in the freezer
I could save a couple hundred dollars with a food saver. We currently have freezer burned stuff in the freezer that we are going through. Not fun at all!
I think we could save at least $350 per year (and of course, possibly more :)) with a FoodSaver. Now I am too afraid to buy in bulk, since I am concerned my food will not keep properly without freezer burn. Thanks for an opportunity to win! =)
I think we could save at least $350 per year (and of course, possibly more :)) with a FoodSaver. Now I am too afraid to buy in bulk, since I am concerned my food will not keep properly without freezer burn. Thanks for an opportunity to win! =)
I think we could save hundreds in a year. Would love to be able to purchase large packs of meats when they are on sale and also precook some of my meals so on late nights I could just heat them up.
COOL! My parents have one and have sworn by it and I’ve been interested myself! I will admit it, I am not the biggest fan of freezing and unthawing things – but I do for cost savings. I bet I would save a few hundred in thinking about buying on sale to freeze and then keep things frozen fresh! Thanks!
I could save alot of money maybe $200 or more. I’m being conservative because we are on ly a family of 3.
I honestly can tell you that I LOVE MY FOOD SAVER!!!! There is only three in the family, but I buy in bulk and freeze away. I would estimate that I save at least $100.00 a month… that’s 1200 a year. Not only do I buy meat to freeze, we have a garden that I freeze alot of veggie from using the food saver. It is THE BEST money saver around.
I bet I would save almost $1K a year
I just liked Foodsaver on FB as well! :)
I could easily save 200-250 a month with the FoodSaver. We make a lot of healthy-version snack foods (taquitos, calzones, burritos) for easy meals. But sealing them up in ziplock bags or tupperware doesn’t get all the air out and then it becomes a waste of money and time. I personally like to buy any produce that is on sale then chop it up and freeze it in smaller portions for cooking but loose most of it to freezer burn. I just tossed a nearly whole head of broccoli this morning.
I think I would save a ton of money. As a single person who buys bulk because its cheaper I would be able to keep it all and use it. Foodsaver would be a life saver thanks
I’m a fb fan
I liked FoodSaver on facebook. :)
i think i could save close to $1000. my friend has 1 and uses it for everything from bread to soup!
I freeze all my meats after I buy them on sale and I try to double wrap them but I do get freezer burn and waste. I could save $200-$300 or more. And I love to marinate before I freeze. I also freeze tons of fruit for smoothies. May have to get a bigger freezer to hold all my stuff!
I just purchased 80 pounds of chicken legs and thighs for 50 cents a pound. I double bagged everything and put it in the freezer. The FoodSaver would help alot! I believe that with just the two of us, we could save about $300.00 a year on waste.
I’m so excited about this giveaway because I have always thought this would be such a great money saver!! I think I would save at least $400 a year because my husband and I end up throwing a lot away, even though we try to plan well. I could also buy so much more on sale, which would be amazing!!! Thanks for doing this giveaway Jenny!!!
I too have always wanted one of these but have never broke down and got one. I think I could save major dollars with this. A good resource in any home.
I think I could save probably 1000.00 a year by avoiding throwing away fruits and also avoiding freezer burn on many meats.
This would be great!!!! I spend a lot of money on plain zipper bags and then to have some food still get freezer burnt and have to be thrown out!!!
I could save a lot (several $100) considering now I am scared of freezer burn and don’t have tons of space either. I love these things but just haven’t bought one for myself yet. Thanks for calling and asking and giving us the chance to winn one!
Not sure how much I’d save. I am planning to buy a freezer soon, so we can buy in bulk and freeze. I would love to have one when we started. I’d also use it to “shrink wrap” stuffed animals for my Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
We waste a ton so this would result in major savings
No one wants to throw away food due to freezer burn, and as the chief cook and dishwasher in a household of 7, I can’t afford to waste anything. I really do not know how much I would save with this amazing product, but I do know that I cannot afford it unless I was lucky enough to WIN one. Then, I would use it like crazy, and sing it’s praises to every mom I know!! If I had to venture a guess, I would put it in the $300+ range. Time wise for freezing with marinades added, PRICELESS!
i have been wanting one of these for a long time. I think i could save about $250 with one!
I would say that I could save at least $1000 per year if not more so I would really love to win this. We have an extra freezer downstairs so we have plenty of room to freeze stuff. I love to buy extra to share so I can just go to the freezer when a family member, friend or neighbor is in need. Got my fingers crossed!
My goodnesss I could probably save a thousand. Between freezing veggies from my garden and awesome deals from the store. what a blessing it would be!
Oh, by the way, I “liked” them on Facebook, too!
At least hundreds putting up fruits and veggies when in season at their cheapest and processing out own meat!
My family of four could save hundred’s for sure. I love to make cakes and cookie dough to freeze and pull out on those nights the kids are wanting a sweet treat. Also every November I take our pumpkin and puree it to make pie through out the year. My husband has recently begun to hunt game and that would definently help out in the process.
I’ve been wanting to get one of these! I think I would save $400-500 a year easy!
We’d probably save $400-$500 using this!
My boss has a foodsaver that I borrow once every few months and it saves us hundreds of dollars a year! I buy in bulk and still never have to throw out freezer burnt food! I use it for meats, veggies..really anything I can! It would be nice to have my own foodsaver and not have to borrow one!
I think it would depend on the amount you buy and use it but I know I am tired of throwing out freezer burn meat. I think at least over $650.00 a year for an average American family and to me that is very good. I love to do freezer meals for the family and to have on hand in case of a needed sick person at church or whatever. Would love to have one.
Alot! Maybe $150 a year. We cook ahead a few times a year and this would really help out! with 4 kids sometimes our schedule gets ahead of us and this would really help us to cook ahead more. Thanks!
The FoodSaver is a great way to store food you’ve made during a bulk cooking session or to freeze leftovers. Every time you ca do those two things, you can really stretch your grocery budget. If you’ve gotten a super low price on a food item or received an item for a gift, it’s worthwhile to vacuum seal it and toss it in the freezer to extend it’s shelf life. The extra time you can store the food makes it worth the expense to me. When you through food in the garbage, you are throwing money in the trash. By not throwing food in the garbage, whether it is fresh groceries leftovers, you are saving money. FoodSaver can possibly save you money by preserving the food you have and/or allowing you to buy in bulk, but that might not be the best reason to buy it. For our family it’s best used as a like a Tivo… to time-shift your cooking, improve the quality of your food, and free your mind from thinking about expiration dates.
I’m sure I could save at least $350 per year with a Foodsaver!
I’ve heard friends say these are great!!! I bet I could save about $300 a year with one. We put up deer meat in the winter months and vegetables in the summer months. I’m sure the FoodSaver would keep it fresh for much longer :) Thanks for the chance to win!
Can easily save over $500 in meat and $250 in fruit and veggies.
hundreds!!!
I think I could save at least a couple hundred dollars!
I’m not sure how much money I would save but I would love for the meat in my freezer to look fresh every time I use it.
Can easily save over $500 in meat and $250 in fruit and veggies.
Gosh from fresh vegetables to meat, we could save thousand’s on the food that goes to waste in the refrigerator!
OMG!! I was just thinking about one of these the other day. My friend and I were talking about food freezers and how the food gets freezer burned easily. Right now, I have fish and chicken that I need to throw away. I think that I could at least save up to $ 900 a year. Would love to win one thaks Jenney.
I liked FoodSaver on Facebook :)
I “like” food saver on Facebook, too!
I love our FoodSaver! You can get big boxes of the bags at Sam’s and I’ve found some on ebay that seem to work and clost less (they are 50 ft rolls). Rolls are cheaper than the bags and if there wasn’t raw meat in them you can wash and resuse them. We even freeze dishes we’ve prepared in 11×7 dishes then bag (they’ll fit in the 11″ roll bags).
I would love a better way to freeze food! I am only having to stock up for two right now but this would be something I could use for years saving $100s!!!! Would love one!
I’m sure it would be several hundred and it would be great to have to use foil or zipper bags anymore!
Liked FoodSaver on Facebook.I could save 3 to 5 hundred on food. Thanks!!
It would probably save me over $100/year. I absolutely hate losing stuff to freezer burn.
Up to $2700 per year- Leeann Williams
We have a small extra freezer and just packing them in ziploc bags takes up a lot of room. The foodsaver would be a huge help saving room in the freezer, which means I can buy more meat when it is on sale!! I bet I could save enough to pay for the foodsaver easily!
I think I could save at least $1200 a year with this product – it sounds AMAZING!!!
glindathegood@bellsouth.net
I have a big family and one of these would save me money and a ton of time. Now i marinade in ziplock bags but with this I could marinade and freeze I so like that Idea. I would love one of these. Thanks for doing what you do Jenny God Bless!
I’m sure my family could save hundreds of dollars a year, Most of the vegetables I buy are frozen, so it’s not just meat that I would be saving money on; and if we put in a garden this year that would give us even more savings since we usually always freeze some of our vegetables.
I could save thousands a year. With the steak eaters in my family, this would be awesome have. I hadn’t even thought about it till seeing this post. There are so many times I lose meats from freezer burn that this could be so helpful.
I also liked Foodsaver on facebook!
I buy a lot of my meat in bulk and separate into ziplock bags. I usually wind up throwing a portion of it away because of freezer burn. I have been wanting to get a foodsaver because I know it will save a ton of money!! I know it would save close to $500-600 a year for my small family of 3!
My boss has a foodsaver that I borrow every few months and it saves us hundreds of dollars a year! We buy in bulk and never have to throw out freezer burnt food! I use it for meat, veggies….really anything I can. It would be nice to have one of my own!
I would LOVE to have one of these. I have a big garden each summer and like to freeze what I can, I believe this would keep things fresher and I would have less waste. I also buy meat in bulk when it goes on sale and sometimes have issues with freezer burn. I believe this would help me save 200-300 a year.
I would probably save a couple of thousand. Not only could I save by buying meats and produce but I have just started making my youngest baby food and I could freeze that as well. I have just recently started using coupons and shopping strategically so this would really help me start building up a stockpile.
Just posted on Facebook – Foodsaver’s page
A bunch. That’s a southern term for a lot. LoL
We would save hundreds. We already have unidentifiable freezer burned meats in the freezer. It’d be great to be able to put a stop to that. A foodsaver would help me do just that!!!!
alot- buying food in bulk is so much cheaper- i’ll say 1000.00
tcogbill at live dot com
I have a family of 5…I could easily save $1000 a year. Please, Southern Saver, help me save!!!!
And I “liked” Foodsaver of FB.
This could save me up to $300 each year!
I have been wanting one of these!!!! With 6 of us, I buy and freeze meat constantly!!! I would so love to do what you described Jenny, going ahead and marinating the meat and saving time (time and money are always in short supply around here!!).I have no idea how much $$ I would be able to save, definitely hundreds if not into the thousands!!! Thanks so much for the opportunity!!!!
Liked foodsaver on FB. We could save hundreds each year.
i like food saver on fb

$250/yr? i got one for xmas last year but had to return it for the money. :( still pining for one!
I liked Food Saver too :)
it would probably save us, at minimum, $500 a year. which sounds pretty awesome to me! :)
liked FS on FB!
I have a family of 6 so I am always buying in bulk. It would be great to have this to store things in the freezer.
Debbie
and i just “liked” foodsaver on facebook. :)
My boss has a foodsaver that I borrow once every few months and it saves us hundreds of dollars a year! I buy in bulk and still never have to throw out freezer burnt food! I use it for meats, veggies..really anything I can! Especially now that I have a baby girl! It would be nice to have my own foodsaver and not have to borrow one!
and Im a fan on FB
I could save about 100.00 or more a month. I need to buy 2 family packs for my large family but there is a little to much. I could seperate and prepackage the meats and and there would be extra meals. I usually just cook the extra for fear of freezer burn and alot goes to waiste.
Wow, my family could really benefit from one of these! We are a praciticing “Southern Saver” Family and owning one of these we can really take advantage of those meat and produce specials! We could definitely save $1000 or more over the course of a year… Who couldn’t use a an extra $1000 or more???
I have been interested in a FoodSaver vacuum sealer for a while now, just haven’t broken down to buy one yet. I think we would save at least $200 or $300 per year at a minimum. It would be so nice not to have to worry about freezer burn! Thanks for the opportunity to try to win one!!
I believe I would save $200-300 at least. We use our freezer alot! We always buy meat in bulk & freeze it & we like to freeze some vegetables when we find them on really cheap. We also freeze left overs for a meal later on. We hate to waste & LOVE to save! Now to ‘like’ them on FB…
liked foodsaver on fb also!!
Because I do not usually buy in bulk im not sure how the prices would compare but im sure i could save plenty!
Easily $100s a year. Right now I use ziploc containers for our meat in the freezer but they take up a lot of space and if left too long get freezer burn. With this I could fit a lot more in there!
My best friend has one of these, and I am sooooo JEALOUS lol. She saves a ton of money with hers. We buy most of our meat once a month and freeze it in individual ziploc bags. Many times when we go to pull it out, there are quite a few that are freezer burnt and have to be thrown away. We could probably save about $300 or so a year if we had one!
would love to win this……….
With a family of 6 in my house, I know this would be a huge savings for my family as well as saving me time. I can cook lots of things and freeze them for the week. My family would be so grateful if we won one.
I would love to have this product. We catch a lot of fresh fish and this would be awesome to store it. Also, I “Liked” FoodSaver on FB.
Thanks!
Debbie
we’d probably save a couple hundred a year!
I’m sure I could save at least $250 to $300 a year. I don’t just have a problem with freezer burn, I have a problem with refrigerated food going bad, such as cheeses. This would be great to use with my cheese! :)
I would love this! I just threw away several things from my freezer! This would save me at least $200 a year!
I have deer meat brought in every season, and I pay for the processing which is around $70.00 for 90 to 100 lbs. Having a Food Saver is going to triple my savings! My chicken and fish will last twice as long in the freezer! What a glorious day this would be!!!
I wouldnt even know how to estimate the savings! Between the meat, fresh fruit and vegetables and snaks that come in boxes (pizza rolls, etc) that seem to always go bad after you have opened them, the savings would be huge!! Not to mention toys like this are fun to use lol
As a single, working mom of two boys who are always on the go I could easily save $400-500 a year with this product. I am also going to school, so with everything that I have going on it is so easy to throw something in the freezer and not remember it until it’s too late.
I liked foodsaver on facebook also!
FB Fan
Well, being an avid couponer and one who stock piles. This machine will help me when I find the great deals on chicken and other meat. I won’t have to worry about freezer burn because it’s been cover by the Foodsaver.
Since we have just started freezing our produce, I cannot really say how much could be saved. But, I would love to try this. We have lots of garden veggies that I am freezing, and this would help preserve them even longer. I also freeze meat, but it doesn’t really last all that long around our house!!
I would love to win this food saver! Our family could easily save $250 a year or more. Thanks for all you do!
Liked Foodsaver on FB also!
I don’t buy anything unless it’s on special, and when it’s on special, I buy a 4 month supply! Unfortunately, some of that ends up flavorless by the time we eat it due to freezer burn. Sometimes, we even end up throwing it away. But if I had the Food Saver, I’d be able to buy in bulk and not worry about what it will be like when we end up eating it. Between meats, vegetables and baked goods, the Food Saver could easily save our family up to $2000 a year!!!
Just liked on facebook. I would save a lot. I hate throwing away meat that is freezer burnt. Nothing makes me more mad than wasting money.
I’m sure I could save at least $350 per year using a Foodsaver. My mom had one when I was younger and she loved it! Vacuum sealing foods became sort of an obsession! LOL A healthy, money saving obsession ;o)
I think I could save between $500-$1000 over a year. I stopped buying in bulk because of the freezer burn issue, but I could start buying meat in bulk again with a handy dandy Foodsaver!
I would say at least $3000. Machine sounds great.
I could save hundreds per month!!! And thousands per year!!! I really won’t one!! :)
I could save a million bajillion dollars. Maybe not that much, but close! I could buy more meat at great stockup prices and have it last so much longer. I could fill my deep freezer and feel totally cool about getting to the meat when I get to it!
I think I could save a gazillion dollars using food saver to help my deals last longer and be able to buy more. I will use the gazillion dollars to buy an extra freezer!! I hope I am logged in parfaitgirl.
Hey Jenny,
I have looked at these for the last year wondering how effective they are and if it would be worth investing in one. I keep getting cold feet because of the price and kept hoping to find one for a really good price. Based on your review, I’m imagining I could easily save $500 on meat alone, in a year. Zowwy!! I inherited my parent’s upright freezer, so I now have visions of perfectly kept meats, individual plates of left overs and ready to go casseroles dancing in my head!! Thanks for a chance to win one!
I could save a ton of money with this :-)
This is great! In out household we could save at least a thousand a year just by using this product
I would love to win the food saver. My family could easily save $250 or more! Thanks Jenny for all you do.
I’ve been wanting one of these for years! We buy all our meat in bulk and deep freeze it, but I end up having to double bag it and still get ice all over it. Plus we’d love to start doing baked goods and freezing it, but dont’ trust it and this would be a huge help. I’d say it’d save us several hundred a year!
I imagine saving a couple of hundred dollars per year if I could vaccum seal my foods. I love to “can” my own goods and also buy in bulk when appropriate. With the food saver I believe I would not be throwing out food items due to freezer burn (what a waste of money)!
I believe I can save over $600 a year. I tend to throw away a lot of food because of freezer burns. My mother-in-law has one and she says it’s the best invention ever!
Having our own large garden every year, I could easily save several hundred dollars a year. I have ALWAYS wanted one of these babies!! :) Thanks for the chance to win one!

We borrow a unit to seal hiking/camping meals for my Boy Scout trips. Not purchasing those meals saves at least $75 every trip in food. Sure would be nice to have one of our own. Not just freezer, but buying bulk for the fridge would be nice, too – cheese blocks, and leftovers are great in these bags. They are also awesome for re-sealing that chip bag…no more stale chips. Thanks. Too many savings to add up.
I’m thinking I could save between $500-$1000 a year! I stopped buying meat in bulk because I was losing a lot due to freezer burn.
We have a garden this year and we could save so much money by using it for the freezer items! My husband has been asking for one for a while! And meats would keep so much nicer and nuts and …….!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can see myself saving over $600 yearly. I tend to throw a lot of food away because of the freezer burns. My mother-in-law has one and she loves it!
I could save hundreds and hundreds of dollars a year by using this. I have wanted one of these for a while, but have not rustled up the courage to buy it. I freeze so much stuff for winter months.
I like to buy the meats when they are on sale but with a small freezer and a family of 5 its hard to do that and fit everything in the freezer and keep the food fresh!! I would love to have one of these. It would help out a lot! we are always busy with Girl Scouts and school activites. I have just started couponing and love this site it keeps me up to date on my region which is alot more helpful then others. we could easily save up to $400 in a month considering when you need something for what your cooking its not on sale..Thank you
This is great! In our household we could save a thousand dollars a year! Thanks for the chance~
I have a much older model that doesn’t work very well anymore and I really miss using mine. I know I could save a ton of time and money every year by having a new one that works well. This way I can prepare more meals and do more freezer cooking and have it last longer and make my days and nights easier as we are busy with school homework and working full time. Besides just being able to buy my meats in bulk would easily save me $200 – $300 a year!
Accounting for bulk purchases (per month) of ground beef, ground chuck, ground turkey, vegetables, fruit, chuck roasts, and pork I could save an estimated $3,612.00 a year using the FoodSaver. I do have an upright freezer and I’ve been using freezer storage bags. The freezer bags do not seem to compare to what the FoodSaver says it can do. I’m recently divorced with two small kids. I homeschool my children, too. I’ve become a recent coupon user (I rely on your site heavily!) because I’m living off one-third the income. Saving money is a big deal for me and it is a lesson I incorporate (where appropriate) in math class. Having a FoodSaver would save our food & money!
I have no clue of a real figure on what I could save, but I would LOVE to find out! I’ve always been reluctant to buy much in bulk, depsite knowing the savings, because I’ve been concerned about things getting lost in the great freezer abyss and not being found until they are unidentifiable.
Liked Foodsaver on FB
i’m sure I could save at least $200 a year…we end up throwing out alot of rotten veggies.
We try to do as much as we can to save money. We dry, can and feeze. Having this system would help us out so much. It seems like it would do an amazing job.
Like them on FB!!
Not sure how much I would save my family, at least five hundred a year, but I hope it would be even more….
Savings would be astronomical! I usually do not buy much in bulk because it is ruined in a month or two. It would be wonderful to buy the family pack of meat and be able to safely and securely freeze it and know it would last for months! I have an extra freezer and the items in it I can actually eat, only take up one shelf out of five. Like many people, I have been unemployed for 18 months, started using coupons and trying to find any way to save money on groceries for our family. Usually it means not buying much and eating a lot of pasta meals.
I could save LOTS of money by buying in bulk at the lowest price and freezing it. My parents have a FoodSaver, and they love it. They vacuum seal everything!
I think I would save at least $150.00 a year, probably more!
I could save oddles in a years time as we have 2 freezers. My problem is fresh produce like peppers.I can’t ever seem to get all the air out and end op with freezer burn.
We could save hundreds a year by not waisting food as much as we do now!!!!
We grow organic vegetables in our home garden and freeze A LOT for the winter every year. We use traditional bags now, but have wanted a vacuum sealer for a long time. We could save hundreds each year.
$200
I would save SO MUCH and create MUCH less waste – I’m a single person living on my own and I only ever need enough food for one person but I ALWAYS end up cooking more than I can eat in a few days! It would be SO NICE if I could just vacuum seal meals and stick them in the freezer! And it would save me having to buy more food b/c of what I had to throw away!
I was just looking at one of these yesterday. I think it would save our family around $ 200 to $300 every 3 mths because of the freezer burn meat but also I could do more make ahead meal which would mean a lot less fast food.
This would be great for stocking up on seasonal fruits and veggies at the farmer’s market. I think we could save a few hundred dollars a year – AND have the freshest produce all winter!
I am a Facebook fan of food saver and Southern Savers
I’m guessing at least $300! We love to freeze meat and fresh produce from my grandfather’s garden. This would be awesome!
I don’t buy a lot of meat for this reason. I don’t have any way to save it without it going bad so if I had a foodsaver I could stock up on meat for my family. Currently I just buy meat for us for the week and when meat is on sale I miss out because I don’t want it going bad. Thanks. This would help my family out so much.
I could save so much!! No way to even figure it. Since we are only a family of 3, lots of good deals we have found goes bad before we can finish eating them.
With my family of 6 I could save at least $1100 a month. With 3 children they constantly open things and don’t seal it back properly and my 75 year old father in law is no better..LOL! This would help me out tremendously. I have to buy family size everything

Being able to purchase meats and lettuce speciffically will help me save money. Alot of times as soon as I open a bag of lettuce it turns brown and I have to throw it away. Putting my meats in zip lock bags, they still get freezerburn and have to pitch them too. This will be a big help
Liked FoodSaver on FB. I have been using my Food Saver for several years – love it!
i would love to ha ve one we have 5 people 2 feed we grow agardrn it seems like alot gets wasted we could freeze every thing not have to worry all winter
I’ve just started canning, but I think this is a much better way to keep summer garden goodies fresher longer in the freezer. Canned foods are good, but taste cooked. Fresh frozen would simply taste fresh. One could save hundreds of dollars – fresh berries in the winter are expensive!
liked them on facebook too!
Just like you, Jenny, we fight freezer burn in our home freezer. I estimate the food saver would save the cost of all meats I buy that are not going to be consumed that week. This is likley, on average, $20 per week….that’s $1,040 per year. Then, lets talk about produce….I think I could save another $1,000 per year by vaccuum sealing produce. I used to have one years back, but because my ex loved his smoker, and the food saver was a necessary step before smoking meats, he took the Food Saver with him. I’d love to have another one. Now if they only sold the bags in every grocery store and put out coupons for them, we’d be in heaven. Thanks!!
I can’t even imagine how much we could save with a FoodSaver! This is one of those kitchen essentials I have wished we could afford to try.
I would save hundreds I am sure. Would love to win one.
I liked food saver and southern savers on facebook!
I was just looking at one of these yesterday with a family member. I know that we would save $200 to $300 every couple of mths and not just on freezer burn. I could do a lot more make ahead meals for those unexspected nights when we usually have take out. It would not only save us $ it would help our health.
This could save hundreds! I would like to start buying family size packs of meat as they are cheaper. Then I could seal them into smaller portions. This would be a great way to save some cash!!
I think we could save up to $300-$400 a year using a food saver, not to mention I think it would make dinners onthe go easier!
I have a deep freeze already, but it’s very old and often i end up with freezer burn on items. This would ensure that I don’t have to throw things away, so I suppose it would save me about $100 a year since I already freeze things. Always wanted one though!
I would easily save over 1,000.00 a year just in meats. I would love one
I have an older model – if you really are freezing something to use in the next few months it’s great – but the bags are expensive and for many items that you are going to use within a couple of weeks or for anything that you want to be able to open and then then close or reseal the bag you have to weigh the cost of the bags as might not be a big savings. (also you should not reuse these bags especially if they’ve been in contact with proteins – including cheese) as potential for bacteria/salmonella increases.
I liked them on facebook!
If I won the Foodsaver, I could easily save 200.00 a year on freezer bags, & another 150.00 to 200.00 on meat.
Well if time=money, and it will save me time putting away foods and prepping foods, then I’d estimate easily over $500 per year.
I could save thousands of dollars. We buy a lot of fresh fruit and veggies. I would love to be able to purchase a side of beef/pork and not have to worry about the meat going south before we are ready to eat it. We could store our pre made meals, too. This would be great for my husband to take for lunches.
This would be so nice to own! I buy meat in bulk when it goes on sale and sometimes have that nasty freezer burn on it by the time I am ready to cook with it. I have no idea how much money it would save my family of 4 but I am sure it would be a lot!
It would save me sooooooo much money. I like to buy meat in bulk and break it down for the savings. If I had the food saver, things would keep fresh much longer. I tried to buy one about a year ago with Target gift cards we received from our wedding. It was out of stock indefinitely. So sad.
Great way to save even more, no more wasted meats lol.
Love the FoodSaver, and thank you Jenny for helping u save more.
I think I could save a few hundred dollars of freezer items with a food saver–we have been wanting one for quite some time and with a minor kitchen overhaul in our near future (2 of our appliances died within the last 2 weeks) it would be a great addition to our kitchen!
i could save at least 500.00 or more a year with the food saver. we like to buy our meat in bulk and divide up. i would love to have a food saver in my house
We would save more than a few hundred dollars in produce alone! I only give my daughter fresh foods and its hard to buy in bulk because she doesn’t eat as much and it always goes bad.
If I won the Foodsaver, I could save at least 200.00 on freezer bags alone.
I always plant a garden each year in order to save money on groceries. I can a lot of foods but I feel like with the foodsaver I could save even more money by being able to freeze some of them veggies as well. This would be so much help to my family in reducing our grocery bill not only in the summer months but all year long.
I could save thousands a year on vegetabels and meat
I “like” Foodsaver on FB (with a different name than I post on here, but Iike them nonetheless!)
I bet I can save a good deal of money. I don’t throw away a lot of food but I hesitate to buy bulk meat because of the freezer burn and freezer space issues.
I think I could save several hundreds of dollars with 4 boys/men to feed in the house especially since their favorite meal if I would make it everyday is steak! But I could save a lot of money getting steak on sale and using the FoodSaver compared to going out for steak dinners with a family of 6!
Hopefully a bunch! At least $100!
Well if time=money, and it will save me time putting away foods and prepping foods, then I’d estimate easily over $500 per year.
I am a fan on FB.
would love to have one save a lot of money on family of 5 husband only one works iam disabled
I liked foodsaver on facebook!
I don’t know – $100 or more?
I would probably save around $250-$300/year.
I follow Foodsaver on Facebook!
I liked them on Facebook.
I think I could save at least $150 dollars a year.
All things considered (freezer bags, spoiled food, ability to buy in bulk), it should be easy to save several hundred dollars a year with this nifty tool! Thanks for the great giveaway!
I would love this for my son’s family. Has 3 children and lives near a beach. Constantly trying to protect items from dampness and water not to mention saving more food in the freezer for longer periods!! Being their nanny and p/t chef, this would save a bundle of money on food and other items.
I have always wanted to try one as well, it would def save thousands of dollars!
i would save at least 300.00
I would save $100+ a year .. I too have the freezer burn issue and end up throwing away food too often .. !
Probably around $1000…with purchasing things on sale and packing for later as well as gas getting to the store, etc.
I think I would save at least $1000/year. I would love to have the foodsaver to keep everything fresh : ) Thank you Jenny for everything you do!
I plant a garden every year and do a lot of canning and with a food saver I feel like i would be able to freeze a lot of the food as well and be able to reduce my grocery bill not only during the summer months but during the winter as well. It was also save me a lot of time in the kitchen but it is quick and easy. The foodsaver would be a huge money and time saver.
I would save $250+ .. it would be AWESME!
I’ve always wanted one and I think I could save thousands!
I would love to win this, I know I could save a bunch during the year.
I think I would save about $1000 a year, and I will be able to keep everything fresh.
Jenny thank you for all you do : )
i bet i could save about 200.00 a year with one of these.
I could probably save $1000 a year if I had a Foodsaver. Numerous items are freezable including meat, bread, cakes, vegetables, fruits, soups, etc. Buying when items are on sale to use later would be so much easier and healthier especially being on a strict diet for medical reasons you would be able to prepare meals ahead and freeze them to insure you have them for a later date when items are not on sale or in season to meet your needs. I would love to have a Foodsaver!
Wow, thousands? One, it cuts on freezer burn and it helps with space and organization! I only have the freezer on the fridge, and i wind up throwing away things like strawberried, blueberries, and meat because it goes bad fast! I am allergic to beef, so I try to stock up on ground turkey at a good price. It would be nice to not throw it away!
i cant even estimate how much, i think it would be sooo much :) $500?
I would say at least $500 a year. I throw out a lot of freezer burn in a year.
I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO WIN ONE OF THESE MACHINES! WE ARE A FAMILY OF 4 & WOULD SAVE AROUND $1000 PER YEAR ALONE! MY KIDS & HUBBY CAN REALLY EAT …ALOT!! IT WOULD MAKE LIFE SO MUCH EASIER !
I was just looking at one of these the other day with a family member who already has one. I know that it would save us $200 to $300 a month not just in freezer burn but also because I could make more “make a head meals” for those days when we would normally get take out.
I could save about $1000 or more each year. We eat venison, so that’s a money saver right there, however it always gets freezer burn before we are even 1/4 of the way through the deer! I end up thowing it out much of time and getting beef. If my venison lasted that long it would save me not only the cost of freezer bags but the cost of meat itself! I could REALLY use this especially w/ hunting season just around the corner!!! :)
This is awesome! I haven’t tried one yet but I could see where it would be a huge money saver!

We could probably save $300-$400 per year on meats, vegs, fruits and freezer bags. We could use this to more effectively and efficiently use our freezer. Would love to try this product.
I’m not sure how much I would save, but it sure would be helpful! My daughter was just diagnosed with Celiac Disease so I’m in the process of making and freezing foods that are safe for her. I could put it to good use!
I could save well over $1000 a year with a Foodsaver. Our freezer will form freezer burn within 2 weeks. If I freeze something I know we still have to eat it quickly, leaving me unable to stock up! I have been telling my husband that I needed a sealer so I can buy more when meat and veggies are on sale. With a Foodsaver I can freeze more…throw away less!!
I want on of these sooo bad. I am amazed how well they work. The amount of money I could save is limitless. I need it bad.
I like foodsaver on FB.
this would be awesome! i could probably save about 200.00
I could really save a ton of money with this. My husband hunts and being able to process the meat in bulk and then use the Foodsaver to package it would be great!
I would love to own one of these. I know that it would help me save hundreds of dollars a month. I did buy one similar for my ex fiance for Christmas. I guess I was banking on that it would be in the house with “us” sooner or later. Oh well lesson learned, don’t count your chickens before they hatch.
Oh my! I have been dying to try this! I could save a lot of money with this great product! I could probably save $500 plus a year with this! I found the bags on sale about a year ago, and bought them! But I dont own the machine. I have been asking for it for years…maybe this is my chance! LOL thanks!
I {liked} FoodSaver on Facebook! And left a comment.
hmmmm…….after looking at these comments – I can’t help but wonder why everyone doesn’t own one of these — you are all throwing food away due to freezer burn — seems the food saver would pay for itself in no time at all!. Maybe, Jenny could get them to do a really good discount for her couponers….just a thought…
I have a Foodsaver and LOVE it. It sits on my counter and is used at least once everyday. I want to win one for my DIL. She works hard at her job and prepared meals ahead for her family. She shops for deals, uses coupons to save money. The only thing left would be a Foodsaver that would allow all this hard work to stay fresh for longer. She can’t afford to buy one, yet really needs one.
I’ve often seen meats go on sale, only to find that you have to buy half the side of a cow… Since its just my wife and I, we haven’t bought those in the past. We figured that the meat would get burned by the time we got around to eating all of it… and we definitely didn’t want to waste that… this seems like a perfect soultion for us! How much could we save? Who knows the exact amount ($100, $300 or more?), but if we win, we’ll be on our way to finding out!! :-)
I buy groceries once a month at the commissary so I already save money doing that. I also use all my coupon! I freeze fresh produce in bags and they take up lots of space. A Foodsaver would be a great asset for keeping all my frozen meat and vegetables protected.I think I could save $50-$60 by using this product.Have been looking at them, but not in the budget at this time. I would love to try it and share my results. Thank you for sponsoring the giveaway.
I saw a tutorial a while back on how to make your own gogurt, etc. using a food saver and I’ve wanted one since. Not sure how much money I’d save, but I’d enjoy it (:
I buy all my meat in bulk and freeze so this would really come in handy, Thanks for the chance to win
I would love to have one of these and already have meals ready to cook when I get home. I work an hour away from my home and this would be great not to mention the money we would save on meat that we throw out all the time which during a year this machine would save us about 300.00.
I would probably save hundreds of dollars. We end up throwing away so much food that has been freezer burned!
I think I could save $200-300 per year. My Mom has one and I would love to have one also!
I “liked” foodsaver on facebook.
Oh my! I have been dying to try this product! I purchased bags about a year ago…still waiting on my machine to go with it! With a growing family of 5, this product would be helpful in so many ways! I could save thousands of dollars a year with this product. Thanks!
I am not sure, but I know it would save a few hundred dollars a year. Sign me up!
I could probably save hundreds dollars per year by buying meats, vegetables and fruits on sale that could be sealed and frozen. It would eliminate trips to the grocery store too! I would love to win one! Thanks!
This could really help me save money in the obvious way, but also by not making me go to the store so often for my meats! I hate freezing meat because no matter what I do they always end up with freezer burn! Thus, I go to the store ever 4 days or so and I am TIRED of it! Time plus gas would be a huge savings! On top of that, I could shop one big trip at this commissary and save even more!
I already like Foodsaver on FB!
I would say we could save between 200 to 300 dollars using a food saver. I have always wanted one I hope I win!
like on FB
I’m sure I could save a couple hundred dollars a year. Being able to buy meat, etc. when its on sale and zipping it up would be awesome. Coffee storage too, would mean less waste.
I would probably save around $300-400 easily and that’s just an estimated, educated guess. Depending on sales, coupons and stacking, it could really be way more than that! I only estimated 50% savings off $2/day for meat for 365 days. You and I both know that is doable and then some! :)
I believe I could save hundreds of dollars worth of food when we could prevent freezer burn! Would love to try your machine!!! Not only meat, but desserts, veggies also. We could also use it to protect my husbands wallet when he goes fishing (watersafe). lol
this is THE top item on my husbands christmas list!! i’d’ project us (family of 4) saving $200 alone in freezer burned thorw aways, and another $1000-1200 in buying in bulk, in season, and on sale/ special. I’m trying to get this rotation down and the food saver would be key to our suscess!!
I liked Foodsaver on Facebook!
I can save $2800 a year with this FoodSaver easily! The added features of canning, vacuum sealing containers and marinade infusion would keep the FoodSaver in continuous operation in my household. Pick me so I can start saving!!!!!
Pick me, pick me. I would love one of these. My parents had one similar years ago and it was great. I have always wanted one. This would save me so much money. Less freezer burns, able to store veggies……
We could save a lot of money with a food saver. We garden and freeze a lot of our vegetables but then we deal with useing it before the freezer burns it.
My husband and boys also hunt and this would really help with sealing the meat they bring home. It would probalby save us hundreds of dollars. I would so love to win it.
Thanks
Monique
Well we do alot of food prep in our home. Lots of hunting coming up and this could benefil us wonderfully. We would like to processes it ourselves so this would do our packaging. I believe it would save us because of all we will do around 500 to 800 dollars. We are a large family so this would be great for us. Would love to win!!!
I could save $200-300 per year. I would love to have one!
I would save a ton!
I estimate that I would save a small amount of money and would save a large amount of time- which these days is priceless!
Oh, I could save lots of money, always buying ziplocs (and they are not cheap!) I would love to win this, we bought a cheaper brand years ago and it was awful…please pick me!!!
If I already owned one of these I would have saved about $300 already. That is about how much food I have thrown away this year because of freezerburn.
I liked them and left a message on Facebook also.
I have a family of 6, 3 kids and an elderly diabetic mother in law. We buy in bulk and pre make meals for the crazy days and split up the meats for different meals. We clean our freezer out once a month and wind up throwing stuff out due to freezer burn. I believe this Foodsaver would save me at least $500.00 a year if not more. There is only one person working and the more we can save the more we can put toward other bills. I have been wanting a Foodsaver for a long time now and know that it will help tremendously.
I liked Food Saver on Facebook

I have an older model and have been wanting a new one as mine has about had it. We have saved “alot” of $$ since we got our first one at a yard sale
Liked them on FB too!
I “like” FoodSaver on facebook!!
I would save about $200 a year. I have to throw away food at once a month that has gone bad in the freezer. This would be an awesome way to save money!
This would save me at least a couple of hundred dollars a year. I have been wanting one of these for a while but since I am a stay at home mom we are on a very tight budget. Hope I win. I have also liked on Facebook. Thanks!
I’m sure I could save about $1,000 or so. Not only would I be able to save meat longer, but I could also use it to seal cheeses, open bags of cereal (because you know that the kids never remember to close the bags/boxes of cereal), and certain veggies that tend to wilt quickly. This means you can buy MORE of the foods that are on sale, so that you don’t have to pay extra later! I would LOVE to have one of these!
Pick me, pick me. I would love one of these. My parents had one similar years ago and it was great. I have always wanted one. This would save me so much money. Less freezer burns, able to store veggies……
Oh wow, have always wanted to try this…I have a friend who loves hers! I know I could save soooo much $$$ freezing meats. Im always hesitant to freeze meats because of just what you said, once they have freezer burn who want to eat that!?!?! uuugh. I’d love to win this :)
I would say that I would save between $800 and $1000 a year with the food saver. I love to buy in bulk but really do not like the freezer burn.
Maybe $200 if not more. I would be tickled saving any amount:)
I don’t know how much I could save, but I would like to try:)
I estimate that I could easily save $200/year on freezing fresh fruits & veggies. I would love to win this for my son and daughter-in-law. Thanks!
With a family of 5 I could really save money…buying meat in bulk would help out a lot,,thanks..would love to win this great prize:)) Love southern savers.
I estimate a lot of savings. I would love to win this for my son and daughter-in-law. thanks!
We would probably save around $400. We live in a rural area with great farmers markets but when I freeze veggies/fruit they always go bad before we use them. As for the meat I love to buy in bulk and power cook. I can’t wait to try this product
I would have to say that about $1000 could be saved on food in household yearly. I hope to win so i can pre-make and save foods with this awesome product.
I could save about $ 300-400 a year not only I’ve thrown away meats but lots of veggies too… I use a lot of expensive resealable bags, and still my food gets spoiled or freeze burned! :(
I really could give good use to one of this!!!! :D
I believe I would save at least $150 a month ($1800 a year). With all the freezer burn that goes on in my freezer I would love to put a stop to that. Plus cutting down on prep time for cooking (i.e. seasoning and marinating in advance) will help me save. I have a tendency to take out meats and put it in the fridge and then when it takes a while to thaw (I may later decide that it will be to much to season and cook) I will just go pick up something to eat. Since I can’t refreeze the meat it will get left in the fridge and then I have to throw it out anyway since I couldn’t use it. So, lets count the savings… 1) Reduce freezer burn, 2) Actually use the meats I thaw, and 3) No more buying fast foods when frustrated with the work I will have to do. Looks like some great savings are in store!
We would probably save one hundred dollars or so with this system. My husband takes dreaded frozen meals to work sometimes and this would be cheaper and healthier!
Hello Jenny! My monthly food budget for my family of four (plus 2 dogs ,2 cats,4 fish, 2 turtles and 3 chickens – is $200. This includes all pet food, household cleaners and the personal items (shampoo etc) department. Only you and your readers would believe me! lol! I am posting this in hopes of winning the Food Saver system. I have long wanted one but…..I’m a stay at home mom and our budget just doesn’t include that. BUT if I could convince my husband that our food in the freezer would last at LEAST three times as the conventional way (i.e.”baggies”)…..
At any rate – If I had the food saver system – I would saveAT LEAST $100 a month….not to mention all of the goodies from our garden – if THEY were frozen (properly) the savings would be GINORMOUS!!!!! Tomatoes, Potatoes, onions, carrots, greenbeans, all different types of peas, many, many different garden goodies…YUM!!!!
Ima crossin’ my fingers n toes here!
Great work Jenny – you’ve changed our lives (as well as standard of living) soooo much for the better! Thank you!!!
We don’t end up throwing away much food, I usually only buy one week of meat at a time for fear of wasting. I would love to be able to buy more and save the gas of weekly store trips! I would say I could save about $500 at least with the FoodSaver :)
I have no clue but it would be a ton.
I liked FoodSaver on Facebook :)
Would love to win this and learn how much money I could save with a family of 5..Thanks…
I’m sure my savings would minimally be in the hundreds with the amount of freezer burnt food I have to throw away! I’d really love to have one of these!
i would save hundreds, my family has to buy meat at rock bottom prices in order to afford it so i buy a bunch at one time and our freezer is full, we usually cook it with freezer burn but you can tell the difference and we end up throwing it out. would be a huge plus for us.
This would save me over $100 a year I’m sure!
I liked them on Facebook. :)
Foodsaver + Me= Moneysaver changing bulk food buying behavior. What a glorious food saviour, sealing in flavor for me and my family to savor
I am not sure exactly how much we would save but I am sure it would be alot!! And as a stay at home Mommy of 4 that is excatly what we have to do is SAVE!!Thanks for the chance to possibly win this!!! ;)
I liked them on FB.
With FoodSaver I believe that I could save $676 a year. I would be able to
eliminate the food that goes bad due to poor storage, buy meat, vegetables and
fruit in bulk and eliminate any waste. Not only would it be great for the
freezer…but the ability to vacuum seal opened items such as baking goods not
used everyday would keep their shelf life longer! I would be so psyched to get
one!!!
this would save me thousands of dollars i am sure! we eat venison and i have to throw out a lot due to freezer burn. this would save me not only the cost in storage bags, but in meat as well! I could REALLY use this especially with hunting season just around the corner!! :)
Liked foodsaver on facebook. :)
Since I got a fridge and a frezzer, I guess I can save around $1200
i liked foodsaver on facebook! :)
Gosh, it’s hard to know how much we would save! We could get manager’s specials at a discount and freeze away. I’m betting we’d be able to save close to $500!
I could save LOTS! Hate to think of how much $$$ I have thrown in the garbage!
We would probably save about $800 in a year
Being a newly wed (of 16 months) and a couponing-newbie, this would save me a lot of money!! We are trying to conceive, so I’ve cut back on my “grocery money” even more to create money in my budget for baby stuff. Following Dave Ramsey’s advice, we have to pay cash for all of this!!! I’m notorious for buying the “manager special” meat that needs to be sold and eaten fairly quickly, and then I put it in our freezer so that I can use it on weeks when the fresh meat sales aren’t so good! But they don’t last that long without freezer burn, and I sometimes don’t get to them in time! If I had one of these, I could even get steaks on sale and my husband would be SOOO happy!! This would be a great item for anyone!!
This would be awesome to own!! I know that I could save a lot of money using this very pretty food saver. Some of my friends have one and theirs is not as slim line as this one and theirs takes up a lot of room on the counter. I sure would like to own this Food Saver. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to win this machine.
Not sure – figure we use at least 5 bags (ziplock type) a day and use other plastic or glassware for fridge or freezer storage. It may be one of those things that cannot be economically justified. Or maybe it can be with food waste savings. I hate to admit when food goes in the trash or disposal. I’d like to think the cost of the unit would be covered within a year. So $250/year.
For my husband and myself, I imagine we can save $200 or so a year by being able to buy meat at its rock bottom price. I also think I can simplify my life by marinating and freezing my meats.
This would really help in the freeing fresh veggies and fruits, not to mention buying meats in bulk. I have bought one of thiese for a gift, but didn’t think I could afford one for myself at this time.
I am not sure excatly how much we would save but it would be alot. And as long as we save i feel I am doing good. As a stay at home Mommy of 4 that is what our family has to do!! Thank you for the chance to win!!
I have no doubt we would save between $300-$500 a year just by sealing in fresh fruits, veggies, and buying meat in bulk and freezing it in individual quantities. Oh, and the amazing fish my husband catches in the Gulf during the summer. Instead we inhale the fish in a matter of weeks so we can enjoy it before it goes bad. Wish I could have it in winter months. Would be a refreshing dinner since winter meals can get so heavy.
I’v]e wanted a FoodSaver for a long time. I cold save at least $500.00 a year.
I would guess around 600 which is to much when you really tink about it.
I regularly freeze meats, breads, desserts, herbs from my garden and veggies. I’ve been afraid to try fruits because of the “freezer burn” issue, but I have a friend who got one of these, and it hasn’t been an problem at all for him. Would love to win one for myself :)! I buy at least $20 worth of fressh produce a week and sometimes we don’t quite eat it all up before it turns so this would save me quite a few dollars from spoilage. Plus I would be able to buy more produce in bulk when it is on sale and freeze it safely, so that would add up to quite a bit more. I had once figured having one of these foodsaver kits would save me around $200, so it would definately cover the cost it would be even better to win it!
I just liked foodsaver on facebook! :D
I liked Foodsaver on FB!
With a family of 10 not really sure how much we could save but i would LOVE to win one and find out. Gina
I ‘like” FoodSaver on Facebook.
i could probably save at least $500 a year with a foodsaver.
I think I could save about $500 a year using the FoodSaver. I like to buy fresh local produce and this would be a great way to freeze fruits and vegetables. There would be big savings on meat since it could be purchased in the family sized packs at lower cost and frozen in smaller packages.
“liked” Foodsaver on Facebook!
I think I’d be able to save easily $100 I am super picky w/ meat!!! This would be awesome!
I could save a lot of money using a foodsaver! I would guess we would save $500 a year.
I want food saver for a while its on my birthday wish list and christmas, it would save so much money if i had one. I freeze evrything from meats, veggies, fruits breads, dairy products.
Putting a number on the savings is hard but I would think we could save a couple hundred dollars and maybe more! I have wanted one of these for some time and it would be awesome to win!
I would say around $1,000.00 a year because i buy meats in bulk for my family of four. I always buy fresh fruits and vegetables too and would love to try to freeze them with FoodSaver Vacuum Seal System because they always get bad in my refrigerator. I have not tried freezing them with ziploc because of the freezer burn. I am praying to win this! Thank you!
I’m sure I would save around $2,000 because if I knew I could keep all my food (meats and produce primarily) from freezer burn I would be buying way more when prices are good. I’ve been anxious to try one of these but just haven’t put the money aside yet. The marinading idea is genius! I would be ecstatic to win one!!
Easy…Probably at least $200.00 just in meat alone! Maybe morejust because of getting rid of freezer bags!
The amount of money you could save with a FoodSaver is mountainous! My father is an avid hunter and heavily relies on his FoodSaver once his deer meat is processed. We finally got him a new FoodSaver for Christmas this past year because his of 10+ years had finally given out. They also seal and freeze pecans every year.
Food isn’t the only thing my parents use their FoodSaver for. They have used it to seal valuables and family treasures to keep them safe from everyday elements. Mom has even sealed newspapers from important life events!
My parents have saved hundreds of dollars over the years with their FoodSaver. If I had one, I know I’d save at least $500 a year!
I love to buy meat in bulk when I have a little extra cash and give it to my family to help them stock up for winter. The Foodsaver would be great because it would help the meat stay fresher longer. I would estimate I could probably save around $500 a year.
Putting a number on the savings is hard but I would think at least $200. I have wanted one of these for some time and winning would be awesome!
I would love a food saver! My family could save at least $500 if not more just storing meat when buying on sale since my husband is mr steak and potatoes. Since I love to shop at farmers markets, it would be great to follow your example and freeze produce when it is in season so that we can enjoy it all year!
I think it would save us about $200-$300. This Foodsaver would be great for saving on meats.
Awesome! I think we would probably save around $50 – $75 a year with this. We don’t usually freeze meat because once it is in the freezer, I almost always leave it in there so long that it gets freezer burn and I have to throw it out.
$100’s maybe…who knows
we freeze a lot of food and my hubby has really been wanting to try this i would think a year we would save at least $1000 for my family of 6 and i liked foodsaver on fb thanks :)
I could easily save $15 a month using one – so $200 a year. yeah!!!
Wow, I would save alot. I (we) waste so much food!
I think you could save around $500. I would love to try it and find out though.
I just decided to start doing the bulk of my cooking via freezer method. I have the initial plans (cooking day set, shopping list for sale items and recipes) and this little prize would put the icing on the cake! I think I can reduce our food budget at least $200 monthly this way for a savings of $1200 yearly! Once you factor in incidentals that would have normally made the trash due to freezer burn, I am sure the number will be even higher!!! I SO would love to have this as I start this new cooking journey!
Sounds like fun! I’ve been wanting to “buy a cow” because I want to go organic with our meat so this would be awesome! Not sure exactly how much we would save, but with a family of 5 I think it would be substantial!
I think I could save at least $2,000 a year in buying bulk meat alone! Meat is the one thing I have not mastered at discount and I think its because I have no way to properly store my meat!
We freeze so much stuff, but keep pretty good track of rotating everything so nothing gets freezer burn. I would LOVE to be able to freeze more fruits though…we don’t do that much since it seems to go bad more quickly. I would guess we could save around $200-400 in fruit gone bad!
I have a teen age daughter with learning disabilities and have been told to teach her life skills which includes cooking. This machine would be great for her to learn to seal and protect the food we buy on sale. She already helps me with my coupons and loves to find the clearance items at the store before I do. With a family of 6 I am sure it would save us a great deal allowing us to buy in bulk and not worry about it going bad. Thanks
750-1250 per year. My Mother and I can our garden vegetables and freeze strawberries and blueberries but they tend to get frostbite and have odd taste after a few months. I have heard that these are incredibly good so I would LOVE to give it a try. Canning is a great way to eat fresh and save, now if I could just keep from throwing out the “frozen” foods we would be SET!!!! Thanks Jenny for everything…I have spread the word to so many of my friends! Wendy
We have a family of 3 – hubby, mother and I – and we are all trying to save money and eat healthy. So, we are really trying to maintain portion control. With a Foodsaver we would still be able to buy our “Family Size” packages of meat and separate them into smaller portions. I have also been wanting to learn to can and have been looking at various ways to do canning and freezing for vegetable. I keep meaning to look into buying bushels of fresh vegetables to either can or freeze and this Foodsaver would work wonderfully for this. We could probably save hundreds of dollars a year on meats and fresh vegetables. Thanks for offering this contest!
Wow, lots of entries already for something you just posted, this most be a good product! I think this would save my family about $300 a year.
Probably well over a $1000 easy! Getting to freeze veggies would be a plus!
I think we could save at least $400-$500 a year.
Considering if I’m able to freeze many of my dishes and keep it under good quality with my foodsaver, I would probably save $50 a month and receive a ton of Quality time to spend with my two kids after I get home from my full time job.
Thank you!! We shop at sams and I buy all my meat in bulk and then the ziplocs to store them in and it would save us about $600.00 a year. I to have always wanted one but they oh so expensive for us and not in our budget.
I would save a countless amount to store dried fruits from our trees and garden… This would be such a blessing! Thanks Jenny for all you do.
I believe it would save us $125-175 because we would mainly use it on meat, and we know how expensive meat can be (and there are hardly ever coupons for meat). Thank you for the giveaway!
We would save around $300-$400. We freeze a lot. So much that I had to recently purchase an extra freezer. I would love to have this!
I think we could save around 200 a year. We buy in bulk also and we end up throwing a lot out because of it getting freezer burn. We have been wanting to get one of these.
We would save probably about $400-$500 and possibly even more. I just got a deep
freezer and with this Foodsaver vacumn sealer kit, I would be able to purchase a
quarter of a cow from a local farmer and get the meat portioned and vacumned
sealed. It actually costs $1 more a pound when you have them package it. So that
alone is about $300 in savings just for beef! I’m actually so excited thinking
about the possibilities…I could buy veggies/fruit in season and freeze them in
small portion sizes to use each week, seal soup/meal portions to bring to work.
Oh the possibilites!
I think I could probably save a good $500 a year on wings and hamburger meat, lol.
I think I could save around 500 a year. The foodsaver would not only keep the food from freezer burn but it will also take up less space, therefore allowing me to freeze up more foods at great prices!!!
I can’t even calculate how much money I will save using this! Not only would I freeze and save more, but I wouldn’t have to worry about freezer burn in just a few weeks of being in the freezer!
Would love a FoodSaver V3880, I waste so much food. I think I could save at least $50 – $75 per month. I need it so bad.
I would love a FoodSaver – think it could save over $1,000 in a year!
Would love to have one to try. $300 a year.
We would save probably about $400-$500 and possibly even more. I just got a deep

I think it would save me about $600, but I may be off by a lot! Who knows what deals I could freeze or break into smaller bags to store. Cheeses could last longer! We cook pumpkin & freeze garden beans – they would taste better frozen in a foodsaver.
Would love to try. I think you would save $300 a year.
I think I’d say around $400 a year if I had a FoodSaver!
I could save about $220 per year!! Oh the joy!!! : )
At least $300-$400 per year. We are always throwing away blocks of mouldy cheese & freezer burned packs of meat.
thinkd you would save $300 to 400 year
I think I could save around 500 or more a year. Simply b/c my food would not get freezer burn, but also it saves space in the freeze allowing me to freeze more great foods that I get at great prices!!!
Definitely need it for my home
I have always wanted one of these! I’m sure I would save a couple hundred dollars a year at least! I would love to try marinating like you said before freezing! :)
I can save over 3-3500 a year. Meats, cheese, lettuce, chips, cookies, and so on. I had one for 6 years and have not had the money to get a new one. I absolutely LOVED IT. I didn’t just use it to vacuum seal items then freeze. I used it to seal my chips, cookies, and cereal. I used it to preserve valuable items (jewelry, etc) I used it to store my homemade baby food, family vacations-something always leaked in the bag (not if I had it in a food saver bag). I could go on and on about what this thing did for me and my family. Just know I miss my old one and want a new one……
I would use it to seal veggies fresh from the garden and repackage meat. I’m guessing I would save about $750 year.
Oh wow…..I think atleast $500 a year. We could avoid throwing out so much food!!
I like foodsaver
The savings would be awesome and completely unable for me to calculate! I don’t believe I could ever stop thinking of ways to use FoodSaver to save money and improve food quality!
i would probably save at least a $1,000. my husband and i were just talking about putting in a garden and getting one of the food savers. it would be perfect. fresh veggies and meat sealed perfectly and ready when i am.
I believe I would save a couple hundred dollars a year with this machine–I’ve always wanted one!!
I have always wanted one. Just think of all the things you could preserve by using it. Was thinking of buying one of those hand pumps, but would love to win this.
I have not idea, but seeing as i just threw out to packages of meat, I think it would be pretty significant.
My Mom has a system similar to this & will give me items she has sealed using. It is amazing how fresh the frozen foods are regardless of the age. I waste food repeatedly by not being able to use it before it is freezer burnt. This would be awesome to help save money in this economy where you need to stretch every penny to its max.
we would probably save hundreds between our house and my husband’s farm-to-table restaurant
we would probably save hundreds between our house and my husband’s farm-to-table restaurant
Buying fresh produce in the peak of would save me hundreds of dollars!
Having a foodsaver would be awesome! I always buy meat in bulk. I know I would save at least $500 a year!
prob. at least $1000!
Hundreds from the food that doesn’t get thrown out bc it’s gone bad. We love ours!
I would say $150.
I think I could save at least $500 a year with a Foodsaver. I throw away so much frozen meat. It’s very discouraging since I know I got a great deal on it. It’s like throwing money away!
I liked Foodsaver

Would love to have a foodsaver to freeze the meats I buy on sale, with it I could buy more sale meats and not worry about freezer burn with huge savings—200.00-450.00 ayear I would think with prices as they are —also veggies etc.
I would love to win the FoodSaver V3880 Vacuum Sealer Kit, I would save $300-$400 a year, plus eat much healthier by freezing fresh fruits and vegetables while they are in season. Jenny thanks for all of the money saving tips and your hard work to help everyone save money.
i would love one! i am thinking around $500-600 a year! i feel like we throw out way too much food!
I would save probably $300 or so a year
No idea… at LEAST a hundred dollars!
I like food saver on FB
I would say we would probably save close to $1,000, and it would prevent all that food from going to waste and we could save so much by buying in bulk. Always wanted one of these but can’t afford it :(
I would say I would save over $500. My husband fished a ton and hunts as well. The more meat I can safely put up the less I have to spend at the grocery store.
Wow for a household with two adults i would probably save at lease $250 if not more…I would love to have one of these…
my husband and i are trying to get a closet set up for bad times.we have learned some canning and are into gardening now too.we could save atleast a few thousand a year, this would so help my family out.been wanting one but have not been able to buy one yet.thanks for all you do on this site to help us all save.
I would love one! i think we could easily save $500-600 a year!
I could save over $500, I am sure of it! Not only for frozen meats, it would be awesome for feezing veggies!
I would save a ton of money on meat! I don’t even want to know how much money is wasted by throwing away things that are freezer burnt!
We could save tons of money with a foodsaver. My friend loves her’s but like you said, I have a hard time justifying the expense.
Would love to have a food saver, could buy more sale meats and freeze without worrying about freezer burn I think I could save 200.00-450.00 with a food saver
I really want a FoodSaver, I’m sure I can save up to $300.00 a year!! Enter me!!
I could save between $400 and $500. I would buy meat on sale and seal it up so no freezer burn. I bought a small chest freezer to stock up. But too many times if you wait you get freezer burn. With a FOODSAVER you would SAVE your FOOD.
I think i will save about $850 if not more a year with this machine, could use it to save most on my freezer. ;)
I’m not sure how much money I’d save but I’d like to find out!
This is sooo! great.
Unfortunately I throw away more than I should even with all my coupon efforts, I know I could save over $3,000 in a year. After Christmas I threw away so much, that I decided to keep track for three months to see what I averaged.I had thrown away $249!! OMG! It made me ill and also gave me a wakeup call. I have tried freezer bags but :( they don’t really work. I have looked at them but they are a little pricey. Then I thought well. I am throwing away the money I could spend on the foodsaver.
I would say we would probably save close to $1,000, and it would prevent all that food from going to waste and we could save so much by buying in bulk. Always wanted one of these but can’t afford it :(
I think I could save hundreds by using the foodsaver. I have always wanted one of these!
I could probably save $100 or more!
I “liked” FoodSaver and commented so on there page.
$100 for this family of two.
I could probably save almost $1000 dollars. It would also allow me to buy a lot more than what we eat and stock up on produce. My dad likes to hunt, so I could store meat for him too!!
My husband is an avid fisherman. If I had one of these we could save alot of money and not have to pay a company to vacuum seal his fish at the end of his fishing trips. This product looks nice too and would look good in my kitchen.
I could save at least $1000 per year. I also liked on facebook.
i love foodsaver!!!
We have a garden every year and I get so tired of freezer bags not closeing completely and my once fresh frozen vegatables are no more. I need this FoodSaver to help me save my garden and my marraige
Oh my….as a retiree….think of all we can save with the FoodSaver…..I would think it would make a world of difference every year I would think we could save at least $300 dollars a year.
I have had a foodsaver unit for over 3 yrs now, and I simply couldn’t live without it! We buy steaks in bulk when our IGA and Bi-Lo have them on sale – also snow crab legs – so that saves us a ton of money. We have a large garden (1.25 acres) and I have canned and bagged tomatoes, peas, collards, turnip & mustard greens, etc. Also great for individually freezing and then bagging jalapeno, banana and habanero peppers! I also put up about 2 bushels of peaches and 8 gallons of blackberr. . also red & green bell peppers! My foodsaver has saved me well over $2,000.00 in the time I’ve had it. Got leftover spaghetti sauce, chili, soup, etc? Freeze it in serving size butter bowls and then dump it out in a foodsaver bag! Also, prime rib. . . . yum! We raise and butcher our hogs, grind, case and smoke sausage, etc. . . you can use the foodsaver for anything!!!! Would love to win a new one. . . and donate my old one to our church kitchen!!! Excellent also for resealilng – pop tarts, cereal bags, chip bags, etc. A Million uses!!!!!
I think I could save hundreds. It would be so nice not to have to worry about freezer burn on food.
I would love to be able to stock up on summer veggies for the winter, definitely would help us save money.
I would probably save about $200 a year. I already marinate meats (chicken especially!) before freezing in zip top bags…I bet vacuum sealing them would intensify the flavor. I bet you could also use it like the Iron Chefs do to quick marinate and then poach food in the marinade.
I KNOW I COULD SAVE ABOUT $500 DOLLARS PER YEAR USING THIS EQUIPMENT
I would love to have one. Have friends you use them & save hundreds of dollars. I believe I could save at least $600 a year if I had one. Thanks.
In an entire year…no telling how many hundreds i could save!!!
I grow most of my own veggies and love to buy meat in bulk so I could save at least $500 if I didn’t end up tossing so much of my hard work!
A FoodSaver sounds wonderful…As a retiree…I think we could realize at least $300 dollars every year with it. Would love to have one of these FoodSavers.
I bet a food saver could save even a family of two $500 a year! You could buy meat in bulk as well as produce and actually be able to stockup while these fresh items are on sale!
I’d probably save a few hundred dollars–no more throwing out frost-bitten food.
,
I think I could save up to $2000 a year
My mother-in-law has a Foodsaver and I want one so bad!! I know I could save at least 200 bucks!
I must throw out $1,500 a year! I just love FOODSAVER!
I bet I could save several hundred a year for sure. I have a friend that loves hers not only for freezing but also for produce. She said it keeps longer in the fridge that way.
I love foodsavers my mom has one and the way i eat meat i have figured i’d save hundreds just buying in bulk on good prices and repackaging it acccord to my meal sizes!!! I am cooking for a Not For Profit this next month and what i could do with it just to help me prep for feeding all those people would be worth it!!!! I have long adored Food Savers!
I could save $1500 easily…I am horrible about wasting food – meat especially. Our savings would be incredible. I have wanted a FoodSaver for a LONG time…not only for food, but for storing everyday things – Qtips and matches for camping, excess cottonballs under the sink to save space, etc…there are so many uses for a FoodSaver!
I think my family could save over a $1000 a year. We have been gardening ever since my husband lost his job. Canning supplies are not cheap so for some of our corn and tomatoes we use freezer bags. This seems to work well we just have to use them a little quicker. We have not been very sucessful with keeping our meats for very long. I have wanted one of these machines for quiet some time now just never been in the budget.
I could save $1,800 for real if freezer burn wasn’t an issue! I love FOODSAVER!
I can’t even imagine how much money I would save with this Food Saver device! Unfortunately, I waste too much food every year, so it would definitely would be in the high hundreds of dollars.
$1,372. Yes that is a totally random figure but I’m sure by vacuum sealing my meat I could seriously stock up and preserve “reduced for quick sale” meat from Ingles.
I just got married and this was definitely an item we wanted! I could probably save at least $200/year…at least! No more thrown out meat, frozen veggies, or leftovers!
I think I could save $600.00 a month. My family deer hunts and we have our meat processed. We put it in the freezer and eat it all year. The foodsaver would help us save money on freezer bags!
I think we’d save a few hundred dollars, but we’d save more time than money, honestly. We could buy more meats and foods in bulk and save them this way.

I think I could easily save $500 a year. My husband and I make our dinners in batches and freeze them anyway. It would be great to have stuff last longer in the freezer!
Probably around $2000.00 a year….
My husband and I have been looking at food saver systems for years but can not really afford one. Would love to have this system to save on some of the food we’ve had to toss because of freezer burn.
I think I could easily save $500 a year. My husband and I make our dinners in batches and freeze them anyway. It would be great to have stuff last longer in the freezer!
Argh, did not mean to post this twice.
My husband and I are trying to cut our food cost from $220 a week down to $120 for a a family of 4. We are saving for the down payment on our first home. Being that 95% of the items we buy do not have coupons buying in bulk and being able to save food from freezer burn would help tremendously. We are hoping to save $240 a month on meat alone when deer season is in.
I’ve been wanting a FoodSaver for ages, but haven’t brought myself to buy one. What a great opportunity! I know I could save at least a couple of hundred dollars a year!
I think I would save a lot, but more than anything I’m just interested to see how it works and if it is easy to use.
It works great and is extremely easy to use — I have been through two of them, my second one is about the die on me :-(
I’m sure I’d save several hundreds a yr with not having freezer burned meat!! P.S. I season and use liquid marinades quite often before freezing, works like a charm and saves a step when you are ready to use.
I liked foodsaver on FB.
I think I would save at least $500/year.
At least $500. With 3 kids 4 and under, I try to prep things way in advance, so using this system to better preserve freezer meals, chopped veggies, cheese, meat, etc would be awesome.
I would love to have a food saver. We have looked at them many times. Last week I threw out gator tail because it was so freezer burnt. A food saver would save us about $1000 on store bought meat. However the big savings for our family would be in the meat we fish and hunt for. It is hard to put a cost on fresh fish, gator tail, duck, quail, pheasant, ect…
I could probably save couple hundred, ($500+) since we eat a lot of produces and meat. My hubby love fishing! the foodsaver would help us freeze the fish without being spoiled and neatly organize in our freezer!
I would think I could save several hundred dollars just being able to preserve things longer without the risk of freezer burn!!!
I could save easliy $100 or more a month on buying meat, veggies and cheese in bulk. I have been wanting a Foodsaver but just never the right time to get it. Oh how I would love to win it!
I’m guessing about $200. I had one but ruined the gasket :(
$500 I love watching them on the shopping networks!
I could easily save 200-300 a year, but better yet I could save my taste buds! My hubby doesn’t care if it is freezer burned or not, he’s going to cook it.
I also liked them on facebook!
I know I could save at least $2000 or more…I order alot of my meat from a delivery company because it is frozen meat even though it is expensive…I have MS which means somenights I can cook…somenights it has to be take out…but by having frozen meat…it saves from meat going to waste in the fridge! Thanks for the chance!!
I think I could save at least $200 a year with a Foodsaver just by being better able to double up on cooking and freezing leftovers so we don’t have that night where we’re too lazy to actually cook and go out to dinner instead.
$100 a month easily!!! I love the idea of owning one, but we are on such a tight budget because we are trying to save for our first house…HATE RENTING! This would be perfect and WONDERFUL to have! : )
I know we could save $1000s! We had an old foodsaver and loved it, but then it stopped working. We have been looking to get a new one but the price is over our budget. We would love to be able to food vac our homegrown vegetables, beef from a full cow we buy from our neighbors and the venison that we put up in our freezer each year.
Would save around 100 to 200 a month, since we would be able to buy a little more in bulk and not waste it.
At least 500.00 a year. maybe one of these days I will break down and buy myself one.
$2
I could easily save $750 a year! I would purchase more reduced for quick sale meat and really load up at the Farmer’s Market. No more freezer burn on my squash:) Also, the Foodsaver is so attractive, I could leave it out on my counter for easy access.
I’m thinking I could save about $300-$400/ year. I could buy more to store and I wouldn’t waste my bulk I am throwing away now due to freezer burn.
If I could keep the food I am buying now from getting freezer burn and molding in the fridge then I would really be saving at least $2400 annually. I could also be stocking up on fresh produce and thats an even bigger savings. I really need one of those Foodsavers.
we love ours… i use it constantly! I probably save 250$ monthly.. buying larger portions of meat when its on sale and portioning them off, and sealing leftovers or cooking for several meals in one day. Its great!
I think you could save $1000! It would make life sooo much easier and be able to make more room in your freezer!
You can save soo much money using this product. Buying meats and packaging them when things are on sale. They also work great for flash cooked mini-corn cobbettes from fresh corn… I’ve owned cheap imitations but not a good one, would LOVE to win this, I liked on FB as well :)
I have no idea, maybe $200?
I would love to have one of these! With a family of 6 I bet I could easily save over $1,000 a year!
I think I could save $250
I liked foodsaver on fb!
I would love to win this! I bet with my family of 6 we could easily save $1,000 per year!
I have wanted one of these for soooo long! I think that I would save at least $200 a year.
I also like Food Saver on Facebook
I liked FoodSaver on FB.
I think I could save a few hundred dollars a year with this system. With a 20mth old a husband in nursing school and a baby on the way, every penny I can save helps big time .
With a family of seven and only one income at this time the cost of meat does get really expensive! So I get really upset and waste a lot of money (most likely over $1,000.00 a year) due to “freezer burn”. This would be an awesome addition to our family trying to get through these economic hard time!
Just wanted to also say THANK YOU JENNY for all of your help with saving money!!
I can’t tell you how many times I have had to throw food away as well….we would probably save $100-$200 per year. Of course, I might start to freeze veggies if I had one of these!
I could save tons!
I have heard wonderful things about the food saver!!! Putting fresh vegetables from the garden along with sales on meats….I could save over a $1000.00 per year!!!
Jenny,
I think I could save over a hundred dollars. I am like you having to throw things away that I let get freezer burn. This would solve that. Thanks.
Well, with a family of 6, I could save probably $100’s of dollars with a FoodSaver. We have started buying local pasture-fed beef. We buy 1/2 a cow at a time & that’s a lot of meat to package & freeze! We also have a large garden where we grow our own organic veggies. And don’t forget the fresh caught fish from my hubby! We definitely have lots of reasons to ‘save the food’ from freezer burn. ;) Thanks, Jenny!
My husband and I have looked at them a few times, but we’re not sure about the savings given the cost of the seal bags (they don’t go on sale, do they?). I just try to be really good about using stuff quickly, but it would be nice to have. I really can’t guess about savings.
This Texas Yelllow Rose would get all worked up if she could rope in one of ther’ FoodSaver Vacuum Seal Systems! After a long day on the coupon trail (thankee to the fine ladies @ Southern Savers) I lit out for home to find my fixins are all catty whompas and won’t fit in a darn thing unless I pole-axed ’em. I am plum wore out messing with these whomperjawed other systems that are all hat and no cattle. With 12 youngins’, 2 lazy hounds, a few crusty ole’ ranch hands this Southern Lady would be savin a fir piece of gold maybe en’ hunderds walkin in tall cotton with those yearly savins.
I have wanted one of these for years, my friend has one and im so jealous, if I werent unemployed I would probably buy one, I have had to give away so many things from my garden because I couldnt freeze them all because of freezer burn, it would save me alot of money to be able to buy in bulk for my family..Thanks Jenny for all the hard work you put into saving us all money..well done!
I “liked” FoodSaver on Facebook.
I am a new stay at home mommy (I quit teaching first grade) that is expecting a baby in Nov., and I also have a 15 month old running around. I am guessing that we waste at least $500 a year on freezer burnt food. I would adore winning the FoodSaver and help my family learn to budget even easier on our new tight budget! :)
I liked them on FB. :-)
My husband has said for years that he wants one of these. I bet we could save about $300 or more a year.
I could save up to $1,000.00 per year. I could purchase lrge quantities at a wholesale warehouse grocery and do well with freezing in smaller quantites.
I’d love to try this. I don’t know exactly how much I think I would save though. Typically, now when I buy meat, I’ll divide it up and store in separate freezer bags.
I bet I could save several hundred dollars with this food saver. I hate wasting food, especially in this economy. I try so hard to save money that it pains me when I have to throw away freezer dried food or veggies that have gone bad before I could use them. This would be great!
I liked Foodsaver on Facebook and I could save thousands because I would be keeping alot of things that I would normally throw out
I am a new stay at home mommy who quit teaching first grade, due to expecting our baby girl in Nov. & having an active 15 month baby boy running around. My guess is that our family waste about $500 a year on freezer burnt food. I would treasure having a Food Saver in our home to help us make a new tight budget even easier to manage! :)
i need a food saver because i have 6 children and most of the time a huge garden! i am so sick of freezer bags that dont work! i would put it to VERY good use! we could save prob close to 800 between veggies and meat! THANKS!!!
This is awesome, I have been wanting one of these.
I Liked Foodsaver on FB
I would love to have a freezer saver because we like to eat lots of fruit in our home, but fruit as we all know goes bad very quickly. This would be great for freezing as well as meat.
I like to buy in bulk because it is a lot cheaper. Add the savings of buying in bulk to the savings from food saver. I believe I could save at least $500.00 a year.
I’m sure I’d save at least $300 annually using the Foodsaver.
It is so frustrating to go through the work of wrapping meat/veggies & putting them in the ziplock bag only to go into the freezer at a later date and see that the bag has busted open potentially ruining the item! Arrgh! I would venture to guess that we would probably save between $500 – $1000 in meat, just based on the rising cost of everything now!
I think I’d save at least $100 in storage and freezer burned food.
I would love to win the foodsaver because we buy all our produce from our local farm. I would love to buy while the produce is fresh and freeze it for the winter.
The Foodsaver is awesome! No more freezer burn! I’ve bought one as a gift…now I need one for ME!
I think my family could save at least $100 a year by having a FoodSaver because mostly it is the meats that will get freezer burned. Also, when re-freezing small pizzas, and snacky things the freezer wins more times than I wish it would. I think a FoodSaver would be perfect for this as well! :)
I know I would save at least $350 in a year use the FoodSaver!
I like foodsaver on facebook
I could probably save several hundred dollars! Love your idea about prepping the food first then freezing. what a time saver!!
My husband and I were just talking about getting one of these the other night. I think we could easily save $200+ a year.
I like foodsaver on Facebook!
Would love to have a FoodSaver of my own, Mom loves hers and doesn’t mind sharing but it would be nice not to have to transport things back and forth! We could save $1,000 or more a year in food waste!
I would love to have a food saver, we try to save money every way that we can, we grow our own vegetables and some fruits and with the food saver it would be so much easier to freeze them in the freezer specially since the only freezer we have have is the one above the fridge. And with a family of five I have to by in bulk when it comes to meat but of course we do not need to cook every single peace of meat at one meal and the rest thats not cooked gets put in freezer bag but always forgotten in the back of freezer and when I finally get to it what do you know freezer burn. So yes I would love to have one.
Would love to have a FoodSaver of my own, Mom loves hers and doesn’t mind sharing but it would be nice not to have to transport things back and forth! We could save $1,000 or more a year in food waste!
No more freezer burned food? I could save $100s!
and as i forgot to mention we could probably easly save around $300+ a year
We use a lot of cheese, but I don’t like how the outside gets soggy when I thaw it. I could save a lot of money by being able to stock up on things like that. I’d say I could save $200 or more.
Would love to have one of these, my mom’s is great, but not transporting back and forth would be great! We could save tons without the waste of freezer burn!
This would be awesome! We grow a big garden every spring/summer and freeze a ton of veggies. Would love for them to not get freezer burn! I also buy meat in bulk and repackage into ziplocs, so this would save us in that department too!
Wow! I think I would save $500.00 minimum. I always go to the store early to pick up bargains in the meat department and, then, hurry home to freeze. With 8 children still at home, I am always looking for a better way to save money and food. Hate it when I have to throw something out due to freezer burn, regardless of whether it’s meat or fruits and veggies.
Hi! I am on my sec. foodsaver and would not be without one. Had the last one for about ten years now, so it’s time to get a new one. You will save thousands if you buy in bulk. No freezer burn ever on anything I have sealed. As a matter of fact had gornish game hens last night that I sealed and froze 2 years ago! If you got the mason jar sealer with yours try it for your spices and herbs etc. It will extend their life as well.
Have fun playing! :)
I would save $523 a year with a FoodSaver!
I liked FoodSaver
Definatley would save $300 or more on foods that are freezer burned and baggies! Have wanted one since I was a child (when I was little I just thought they were a cool gadget) now I know that they are great for saving money and keeping food fresh!
We a family of six and each week our bill is roughly $180.00 averaging.I normally buy ziploc bags to store any meats that I don;t cook like chicken, ground beef. Only to later on have to throw out because its freezer burn. So in reality I’m not saving and I would say that I can estimate the total saving. I can only dream about it and have wishful thought. Wow that would really be grand/great
liked on Facebook
To be honest, I don’t even have an estimate! I tend to run to the store when I need something and buying in bulk only happens every once in a while. I’d love to start keeping track of how many times I DON’T have to run to the store and how much I SAVE from my FoodSaver!
I’m sure we’d save in the hundreds.
You can save a ton, not sure how to estimate. I have wore my out (10+) years. I food saver meats, veggies, cheese, onions, soups (if you freeze first). All kinds of things. Need a new one!
I think I would save about $10 a week . . . so $520 a year!
There is no doubt that I would save thousands! With something like this, the sky is the limit. I could save so many items from my garden. I am sure that it would keep herbs fresh for winter cooking.
Also, I like to hit Kroger for reduced price meat to freeze. Often I break them up into meal sized portions and freeze. This would be a great way to protect these types of items and get your meat for half off retail.
Hummm….now my head is spinning with ideas of what I could seal….
I would estimate that I could save $400 between freezer burn, the expense of buying freezer bags, and stocking up.
I would save a ton!!! In a year probably in the 1000’s! I have a nice size freezer that I already use, but I am afraid to stock up on too much because if it stays there too long then it will be freezer burned. I would be able to have a good stock of meat put away, so I wouldn’t be buying just because my husband says he wants pork tonight!! Then when garden time comes around next year I would have a great way to keep my veggies! It would be so awesome….of course if it works a well as it says it’s supposed to! Would love to have one!!!!!
Our budget was tight and we purchased one 5years ago. we save at least $1500-2000 a year between leftovers, fresh poultry and beef, pork and veggies(make sure to blanch) them first. ours has sinced kicked the bucket and things couldnt be financially tighter than right now! would love to have one again!!!!! will save so much, especially if you have 4 kids like me!!!!!!!!!
I could easily save over $400 a year with a foodsaver. My dad has sworn by this handy gadget for years, but I’ve never been able to splurge for one in my home. My sweet dad always brings me a cooler full of vacuum sealed food when my parents come for a visit and everything stays fresh for months on end. I would love to be able to stock up on meats when they are on sale and it’s a dream to try my hand at homemade baby food. I want to put an end to freezer burn and an end to wastefulness.
A friend has one of these and loves it. I dont know how much I would save, but anything would be a plus. I have leftovers all the time. I would also like to buy in quantity, but don’t because the store wrap is not good and I don’t have the time to go through all the work of wrapping in white paper then aluminum foil. This would not only save me money but time.
I don’t know that we’d save any money, but we sure would save our appetites! I am too cheap to throw out food, so we’ve had some less than savory meals. We also freeze a lot of veggies from our garden and I’d love to be able to buy fewer ziplocks!
I could save hundreds of dollars. I buy stuff and never get the chance to eat it. My husband is a law enforcement officer and our dinner plans often get changed due to his job. It would be nice to just pull out a little or a lot according to who;s home for dinner!
I would probably save about $500/year.
I am not sure maybe $200-$300??
I would save a lot of time and money. I wouldn’t have to throw out meat that has gone bad and I would save buy being able bigger trays and spiting them up. There is only the two of us during the school year, so having meat and vegetable put into single or serving for two would be wonderful.
I’d save at least a third of what I spend on meat and cheeses because they’d stay fresh longer. Seasoning/marinading before freezing works really well with chicken breasts and thighs.
A foodsaver would be a great way to save my husband and I $500 to $1000 a year! No more wasting food and money due to freezer burn.
I would save a few hundred dolars, just in food lost to freezer burn, but I would save more by being able to buy fresh produce and meat in bulk and store it safely.
I think having a foodsaver system would save me $20-$50 per month, plus I won’t be wasting food – which is priceless!
It would give me the opportunity to buy in bulk and enjoy the summer produce long after it has gone out of season.
I liked Foodsaver on Facebook – thanks for the coupon code!
I know that I could save at least $500.00. I wouldnt have to buy freezer bags. I wouldnt have to waste food because of freezer burn. Freezer burn has stopped me from buying in bulk.
I am stunned how many comments are about not being able to afford a Food Saver, but then comment on how much food you throw out due to freezer burn…….how can you NOT afford one!
I liked Foodsaver on facebook
I thnk we could probably save around $250.00 a year…wow…that’s a lot!
A FoodSaver could easily save us close to $1000 in a years time!
I know I would save some money. My husband and I plant a garden every year, and I always tell him I would like to have something like the Foodsaver. We put most of our vegetables in the freezer. It would definitely help with space in our freezer, therefore I could put up more vegetables and saving more money in the long run. I also like to put leftovers in the freezer, so I feel I would save a couple hundred dollars a year.
I like FoodSaver on FB
I don’t know exactly how much I could save, but I know it would be a lot! I already grow a lot of my own produce to save money, and I put away a lot of it. Freezing and canning only get me so far though. No matter what kind of freezer bags I use, things still get freezer burned. I think vacuum sealing would be the way to go & I’d love to win one!
Maybe about $$300.00? Not sure since I’ve never used one, but I sure would like to have the help of a FoodSaver to save more money. Thank you for doing this Jenny!
Between buying in bulk and having a food saver I believe I could save $500.00 dollars a year.
I could save anywhere between 1000.00-1250.00 a year…easy!!
I’m guessing we could save around $400-$500 a year! Which means we could defintely use one of these!
I “Like” Food Saver on Facebook.
Oh Man! I have been wanting one of these! I think we could save $50 or more dollars a month in just freezer burn!!
I would maybe save $50, thanks to all of the great coupon deals I am able to get cheap ziplock and tinfoil. I do once a month cooking and usually the ziplock bags do fine, but for the other things I use to wrap in tin foil it after about three weeks the quality starts to diminish. My friend has a foodsaver and she loves it. I would love to have one too for the benefit of improving freezer foods!
With five children and a never ending parade of all of their friends..who never leave :) it would be substantial! With a family our size buying in bulk is our only hope to feeding our family on our budget. Soooo…..PICK ME!!! This would be AMAZING!!!
Oh Man! I have been wanting one of these for a LONG time!!! I think we could save $600 a year in freezer burn alone!!!
We’d probably save around $50, we try really hard not to throw anything out, but occasionally something does slip out of sight and gets freezer burn. Thanks!
I liked FoodSaver on FB. Thanks!
Oh Man! I have been wanting one of these for a LONG time!!! I think we could save $600 a year in freezer burn alone!
I would love a FoodSaver!!! I’ve looked at them in stores but never splurged to purchase one. I believe that I could save hundreds, if not a thousand dollars. Mainly due to the fact that my boyfriend hunts deer & we keep the meat. We could process the packaging ourselves with a FoodSaver instead of paying someone. Plus, when 5lb hamburger is on sale, I separate it into 1 lb. portions & freeze it.
I think I could save about $250 a yr with a FOODSAVER. Hope I win!! (and I’ll let you know)
Maybe about $$300.00? Not sure since I’ve never used one, but I sure would like to have the help of a FoodSaver to save more money. Thank you for doing this Jenny!
I would definitely use this for the freezer, but I am thinking of all the produce, cheese, and leftovers this would also save me on. My guess would be around $5 a week which would equal $260 a year just in those items. I would probably double that for freezer savings which would total $620 each year in savings. That would be awesome!!!
Sorry, I’m new at this… I just realized I posted the same thing twice.
We would save at least $200! I’ve wanted one of these forever!
I think that I would save well over $200 a year!! we freeze a ton of stuff and so much of it gets ruined….
I just moved into an apartment with my sister and we could save a lot of money with one of these! I would guess about $300
I could easily save hundreds of dollars a year – no more buying zip lock bags and no more throwing away food that went bad!!
It would save us hundreds of dollars and come in real handy with our garden in the summer followed by deer season in the fall/winter.
I think I could save an enormous amount of money. I love to buy in bulk and my food in the freezer always gets freezer burn. How great would it be to have fresh food and more freezer space. BTW, Thank you for all you do.
Wow. This would be amazing. I often buy meat in bulk, but sometimes it goes bad before I can get to cooking it. This would save me hundreds of dollars a year – which would come in handy as I just stopped working to stay home with my 19 month old. Wow! again.
I could save a bundle… at least $300 a year with the help of my chest freezer.
I would love this!! I’ve actually been thinking about asking around to see if anyone has one that I can borrow to use for pre packing foods for after our girls come. I imagine between not buying saran, ziploc bags and foil, and saving more on meat, etc because I could buy more on sale and save….probably at least $300 a year.
I can’t even imagine how much money I would save, between saving on all the ziploc bags and on food that will last/stay fresh longer…wow that would be awesome!
Approximately 577.28! :)
I’m not sure how much I could save…but I would love to find out! This would come in so handy.
I could probably save around $500. I buy meat in bulk for my husband and me as well as my daughter who is in college. Sometimes my daughter lets hers stay in the freezer too long and winds up throwing things away. A Foodsaver would solve that!
I would definitely save at least $100-$200 on meat, fruit and veggies. The food saver would be a great help for a single hard working mom like me.
I can’t imagine how much I could save on meat if I had one of these!! And wow I just realized there are already 821 comments and the post is only a few hours old. Way to go, Jenny!!
Approximately 577.28! :)
I “like”d them :) on facebook.
I think I would save over $200 a year.
I can not imagine how much I could save – but I sure hope I will be able to tell ya in a year! I have actually been waiting on you to post a good buy on one of these, but free is better! Good Luck to everyone.
With a household of three boys, we have to buy in bulk! With the food saver we are able to purchase large quantites and save the remaining! Without the food saver we would have to purchase less quantities…thank GOD for this product! It allows us to save hundreds per year!
I think we would save at least $50 on freezer bags and at least $200 on food that has to be thrown out.
I like FoodSaver!
I liked FoodSaver on FB.
Oh wow! I have always wanted one of these, but wasn’t sure how well it would work. I have a couple of guys friends that always offer me deer meat, but I usually turn it down because I know it will freezer burn before I can use it. Some of my neighbors with gardens share their vegetables with me as well. Being a single mom with no support from the father, this foodsaver would definately save me money! I could freeze everything that is given to me. There’s no telling how much it would save me. Just guessing, probably around $400 to $500 every year. I could use that money for other things. Thanks so much for doing this review, and give away. And, thanks so much for providing us with such a great website to help us save money! :-)
For mt family of 6 I would guesstimate anywhere from 500-800. I would love to have this!! Good luck y’all!!

I would probably save $150 a year with a foodsaver. I had to borrow my parents the other weekend when my husband went deep sea fishing and brought home all that fish to fresh. It is a much older version and worked well, but seemed to leave a little air inside. The newer version I’m sure is much better.
I will save at least 100-200 dollars on food and 40-50 on ziploc bags per year
I love the food saver for chips and cereal bags! I know I have saved hundreds of dollars over the past 5 years with mine. However mine is on it’s last leg and it would be awesome to be able to upgrade to a new model!
I haven’t done a lot of freezing in the past because I don’t have a lot of freezer space. I would feel more comfortable using the small space I have if I knew that the food wasn’t going to get freezer burnt so quickly.
WOW. What a great deal. I have always wanted to try it. I tried some of the cheap way sof sealing and they did not work well. I would love to try this. PLEASE pick me!!!!
Would love to win the FoodSaver! I have just started buying all my meat at a local butcher shop and they give great discounts if you buy in l bulk (~30%) off.
I would save closer to $1000 a year. It’s not only good for meat, but I could buy bulk lunchmeat, cheese, homemade spaghetti sauce, etc. This would be great to have!
I have saved hundreds over past 5 years on Cereal bags and Chip bags! I love mine however my sealer is on it’s last leg and would love to win a new upgraded model!
I love FoodSaver!!!!!! I brought one several years ago but my parents grabbed it when I moved from Florida to NC.
For some reason it wouldn’t let me finish. I know for fact the year that I had the machine I was able to save at least $20 to $300 in my grocery bill. Not to mention that I started buying in bulking and giving packets to my parents and sister.
As a side note, when you do get one make sure to add your marinade and favorite veggies to the bag. That way your meat and veggies ares soaking up the flavor of the marinate as the freeze and unfreeze.
Man I am so jealous I want one right now. I hope I win. That would so rock.
It would save me TIME ! Way more valuable than money !
I know for a a fact I can save more than $200 a year on meat with the food saver! I used to have one and lost it in my divorce……OF ALL THINGS HE HAD TO HAVE THE FOOD SAVER bc he knew I wanted it!
We could probably save about $400 or more dollars a year. We are lucky to have a 2nd fridge and that’s where we store a ton of our extra stuff. The freezer is full of meet b/c we also buy in bulk and freeze it so all I have to do is thaw it and cook it. The fridge side is cool b/c all drinks and extra water, etc. go in there for the kids. I also like to freeze broth that comes off of some of my cooked experiments, and the vacuum thing could be a neat experiment with that as well. We use everypart of what we purchase as humanly possible.
I have saved hundreds over the years with my sealer. Love it for Cereal Bags and Chip Bags! However my sealer is on it’s last leg and would love to upgrade it to a newer model!
I am a mother of five (three being teenagers) and buy my meat and poultry in bulk to try and save additional money. I know what you mean about freezer burn. I would probably be able to save over $500 per year. Please pick me.
I think I can save at least $300-$500 in a year just in the amoutn of stuff that gets Freezer lost and then when I find it, I dont know what it is or how long its been there, so i trash it. I owould love to win one of these!
just liked foodsaver on FB. I’m excited and really hope to win this. I’ve always wanted to try one out too! I started thinking of all of the other things we can vacuum seal with this too!
I would save close to $1000. I could buy my meat in bulk, cheese, deli meat. I can make extra spaghetti sauce, soups & broths from chicken, etc. Plus the savings from buying the other bags!
Yes, I have always wanted to try one too but never could afford to. So winning one would be awesome. I recently graduated from culinary school with tons of extra weight on me and therefore have gone on a major diet. The hubby is complaining that I am not cooking him anything good. So having this not only would save me hundreds if not thousands of dollars, I could cook a ton of stuff at once and freeze for my husband to heat up and it would make a really hard working man who is sooooo skinny very happy! :-)
I have the older one over 10 years. It came with the piece that attaches to mason jars. I buy gallon cans of puddings, fruit, and make several types of soup, put what i’ll eat at one time, suck the air out, it doesnt can them but put in frige. Pudding and fruit will last about a month. You can freeze the soups if you want. You can also wash the bags out, let them dry out good and reuse them several times. I have saved thousands.
I liked them on facebook.
I think this saver could potentially save a couple of hundred dollars a year! I’ve always wanted one but never have been able to afford to get one. Good luck to everyone! I really hope I win this! (:
I’m sure I could easily save several hundred dollars and probably more. I know I’ve had things go bad from not being properly wrapped up, both in the fridge & freezer.
I am sure we would save $300+ a year using the Food Saver
I would love to win this! Our family could easily save over 1000! Plus, it would be awesome to store homemade baby food!
I believe I could save at least $500 by using the Food Saver! I buy fresh boneless skinless chicken tenders when then are 1/2 off at the Dollar General Market (making them $1.48/lb) and freeze them. Needless to say, we eat a LOT of chicken to make sure it doesn’t get freezer burnt. Also, we raise a large garden and usually put up 100+ ears of corn per year. It would most definitely be a huge help for my family of 5!
I think I could save at least $500!! I hate having to constantly go to the store for meat!
I just liked them on FB
I’m not sure how much I’d end up saving – I know it would be astronomical – especially when you’re on a budget. This is a huge helper during hunting season when we’re trying to package and freeze meats – my husbands friend had one that they all used when processing meat (it was a group activity), but his dog ate it….I’m not kidding!
At least $500/year. My husband loves meat and we don’t have the discipline to buy large quanities when it is on sale. This item would make us be much more diligent!
I’ve never tried one but I know people who rave about them. I would save several hundred with a family of eight, probably $400-$500. That would be great. Thanks for all you do, I love saving money.
I could probably save a couple hundred dollars. I usually buy meat at a discount and freeze it to use later.
I think that my family could save at least $500-600 dollars a year. Thanks for the chance to win one of these.
I would loooove to win this!! I would love to see my meat and veggies come out of the deep freezer with no freezer burn!!! I could save at least $500 a year!
my family vould probably save a couple hundred dollars since i try to buy manager special meats as often as possible (cheaper =] ) but they dont last very long ad my freezer gets freezer burns all over everything, including things in bags :/ this would be awesome to win!
I think being a single mom on a limited income I could save quite a bit by buying in bulk and freezing to use at different times, like you stated in your review!
I know it would have saved me a ton a few weeks ago :( Our refrigerator died and I had to throw all the freezer items on ice to try to save them. Then later I discovered that water had seeped into everything that was wrapped in plastic wrap (I do all our bulk meat like that to cut down on freezer burn.) I easily threw away $200 worth of food that could have been saved if it were vacuum sealed (I absolutely loathe throwing away food!)
It’s just me at home but I still think this could save me at least $200 or $300 per year. I would love to be able to cook and not have to toss leftovers because they get icky before I can finishsomething like a whole lasagna. I could freeze individual portions and not have to buy frozen dinners. That would be great!
I am single, so I always have more than one meal’s worth when I purchase food. I would think that I would save $200-400 a year on wasted food.
That’s just a rough estimate since I am newly single and still trying to budget and cook for one.
Thanks for the opportunity to win this cool product!
I sure could use this for packing small portions of meat for two.
I am newly single, so I am guessing $200-400 I could save yearly if I had this cool gadget. I am new at this whole single thing… so I’m just guestimating.
Thanks for the oppotunity to win!
I could probably save between $300-$500 by buying in bulk and using the FoodSaver
This could save so much money – I would love to have one just to portion out my meats so there is no waste and I could pull by how many will be at the table each night. What a great invention!
My mom had one of these when I was a kid. My sister inherited it. I would love to have one. Mom use to save a lot on buying produce and I bet I could do the same. I estimate a good $500+ savings a year. Thanks for the chance to win.
I would love to win this product! I always buy in bulk but I use ziploc bags to store my food. The bags sometimes allow food to get freezer burn which tastes horrible! I probably could save around $450.00 a year!
I’m sure I could save a ton since I throw away alot of leftovers. Probably $500.00 a year!
not really sure but i do buy my meat in bulk when on good sale and it would certainly be a help, as well as for putting up fresh produce!
“liked” on facebook
I think I can save at least $200 a year with one of these! I throw away way too much stuff because of freezer burn.
i could save a lot i wouldnt be throwing away anymore fruits and vegs like i do , meats would last longet in my freezer my new deep freezer i just bought:) and we would have great leaftovers again!
i’m trying to stock my freezer up for the baby coming and this would make everything last that much longer!!
I would love to win a fancy foodsaver that does everything for you! (I have the budget model.) I think using a foodsaver to freeze dinner time portions of meat you buy in bulk saves hundereds of dollars a year!
I would think I could save around $600 a year….i buy a lot of fresh produce and meat in bulk….would help with freezer burn :)
I think I could save at a MINIMUM $100!!! No more waste…
I would save hundreds!! Buying in bulk saves….but that is only great if what you buy stays fresh! Food Saver is the way to go!
I’m sure it would save our family hundreds! What a great give away!!
I could save roughly $350.00 on meat for the year. That would be wonderful!
Wow! At least hundreds! We love some meat.
Wow! I could save hundreds at least. We love some meat!!!
Hmm…$100?! That’s a lot of money to save!
I need one of these so bad!!! I bet I would save $300 a year!!! Thanks for the give away!
I think I would save 400$ by using the food saver because I would freeze fish, shrimps and beef (purchase by my local coop).
I seriously researched canning and preserving this year as we started our first major garden. Things being as they are, it costs several hundred dollars to have quality (not stuff that will flake off or break in a couple years) equipment. I have literally watched an entire summer’s bounty go out the door. Our local farmers’ market is fabulous and because the fruits, meats and veggies are so fresh they last longer, anyway, but that only goes so far. I made my son’s food when he was a baby (he is now three) and want the whole family to live that kind of healthier lifestyle. Our pullets are now old enough and have started laying. We’ve got seeds from this year’s garden ready to go for spring… and since our economic situation doesn’t appear to be looking up any time soon I’m really worried that I won’t be able to preserve next year, either. I’ve clicked ‘like’ on facebook. I can only say that having a FoodSaver would save hundreds and feed my family healthier at the same time.
I’m sure we could save at least $500 with a food saver-being able to preserve produce, meats, and vegetables would be awesome!
PS. I’m a friend of FOODSAVER on facebook as well:)
I would probably save about 350.00 or more a year!
I want to win one!
I would prob. save $500 or more per year by using this Food Saver unit
I’m a friend on Facebook, too!
I’m a friend of Food Saver on facebook as well
I think a few hundred, considering all the food that gets thrown out.
at least $500–we sadly throw away too much food. this would help a lot!
I liked Foodsaver on FB.
I could probably save roughly $350.00 a year on meat alone!
I liked foodsaver on facebook
I am guessing that I could save approx $400 per year with this Food Saver as I would stock up on meats when they are sale & be able to freeze them for long periods of time without them getting freezer burned. :) I actually have a small manual pump vacuum devise which is cheap & annoying. This would be a wonderful addition to my kitchen, my deep freezer would be overjoyed ;)
I love to buy in bulk and I love to freeze things: cooked meat, garden vegetables, fresh picked fruits, bulk uncooked meat, nuts, etc. I also hate freezer burn!! I am sure this would save at least $300 per year. I’ve always wanted a foodsaver!
Does time saved count toward money? I can’t imagine how much time I could save by freezing marinated meat and freezing leftovers for later! At least $200 I think!
WOW!! This would be sooooo useful!!! I could save at least $200 a year!!
I think I could save $200-$300 per year.
I could save probably at least $350 on meat, roughly $30 a month! Please pick me!!!!!! haha…
I like FoodSaver on Facebook.
I would save about 400$ by freezing fishes, shrimps and red meat purchase from local farms and coop
I could probably save $100-$200 a year. I would love to try one of these! :)
I just liked FoodSaver on Facebook.
I believe I could save around $250 a year with the foodsaver. I have always wanted one, but, was unsure of the quality of the product. So, it would be great to try it out!
I believe I could save $250 per year with the foodsaver product. I have always wanted to try this out, but, concerned it wouldn’t live up to the expectation. The thought of getting it for free….well, right up my alley!
I think it could easily save us $150 a year on plastic bags and then another $300+ on veggies and other things that would have gone bad but are able to be safely frozen! PLUS being able to have meals ready and marinated will save us an extra trip to the grocery store when we don’t have time to prepare a meal! Wonderful giveaway!
I liked them on Facebook, but I’m going to enter here as well. I would really love to be able to try this. I could easy see myself saving upwards of 5-600 a year. I do have a big freezer, but right now I’m afraid to stock it because I have had food go bad freezer burned in there in less than the recommended dates. If I had one of these, I could freeze stockpile items with no fear of them going bad, and buy larger bulk cuts of meat with no worries!
I would love to have one of these. I hate using feezer bags and foil. Could save about $200 a year. Just thinking of how I season the meats before freezing…YUMMY
I have been wanting one of these forever! I know I could save at least $100 per year freezing veggies in season that you can’t with traditional bags.
I just put a food saver on my “wish list!” How much would I save $100+? The possibilities are endless!
I have a large family and I would love to own a Foodsaver. I can sit here and think of so much money I could save by having one. The leftovers to save, the sales I could stock up on and not have to worry about freezer burn, the memories I could seal up and save for years down the road and my mind goes on and on!!! I bet I could easily save $1200-$1400 a year by having one. Wish I could afford to just go buy one, but with this economy I just can’t free up the funds to do so.
I don’t need to enter, just want to tell you how wonderful they are! I’ve had one for more than 10 years, and it’s been a huge savings! Especially for meat – one of the grocery stores used to do New York strips for $1.99 a pound for 18 pound packages. I would get 3 or four, have them cut into 1 inch steaks, vacuum seal 3 or 4 to a pack and freeze them. The last batch lasted for over 3 years! It’s great for chicken on sale, and also you can freeze fresh veggies – par boil for 30 seconds and then freeze. I love mine! I’ve probably saved 200 – 300 a year easy!
As an experienced Food Saver user, can you help me with something? I had some BBQ pork from the crockpot that I tried to seal into a bag. It had tons of room at the top of the bag (well over the 3 inches it recommends). But a tiny bit of liquid still got vacuumed up and out of the bag which prevented it from sealing right. What should I have done?? Should I have put the BBQ in the bag, then temporarily put it in the freezer to solidify the sauce before sealing it? Can you email me at wood . online @ verizon . net (removing the spaces)? Many thanks!
I have never vacuum sealed anything, but this year has been my year of a lot of first times. Started milling grains, making my bread, making my own detergent. Started harvesting. Now I would love to freeze to use in winter.
I could probably save $250 to $350 a year. What a great idea to go ahead and season before freezing.
I have used one of these before and loved it! Would save lots of money because I buy in bulk a lot and freeze.
Liked and commented on Facebook (it wasn’t totally clear whether we need to comment there when liking or here, or both?).
I have a large family and would love to own a foodsaver. I could do so much with one, save leftovers, stock up on sales, seal up memories for years down the road and my mind goes on and on thinking about the things I could do with a foodsaver. They are so much more then just for food!!! I think I could save my family $1200-$1400 a year if I had one. I wish I could afford to just go buy one, but with this economy, I cannot free up enough money to out right purchase one.
I would really like to win this my other unit is almost dead!!!!!I only wish I could find a deal on the sealing bags.
I could save $250 to $350 per year. What a great idea to season meat before freezing.
I would love to have one of these. Use freezer bags all the time to freeze banana for smoothies, hamburger patties and fresh veggies
I liked Food saver on FB. I have been tossing around the idea of getting this unit. I know that I could easily save $500.00 dollars a year.
We have a deep freezer and I could really stock pile with that foodsaver. Thanks for an awesome giveaway!
Oh I want this! I think I could save more than $300 a year. We grow a vegetable garden and this would be a HUGE help!
I would not be able to give a $ amount (just because I would have no idea)
all freezer bags are washed out to store things in the fridge or carry lunch to work, only time I don’t reuse them is when I have had meat stored in the freezer bags.
would love to have one of the foodsavers
I could probably save $1000 for sure. Thanks for the giveaway!
This would be an awesome thing to have. I am sure I could save over $300 alone. My husband loves to hunt and we have lots of game meat (which is expensive to get processed), so this would be great to have!
I haven’t quite mastered cooking for one. So, I over cook alot. usually I either get tired of eating the something over & over or it gets freezer burn. So I probably would save at least $500-600 a year cause I won’t be throwing good food away and I”lll be able to buy bulk packages of meat again.
I need this soooooo bad. I’m a MEAT lover and would love to marinade my meat ahead of time. i know i could save tons of $$$ if ill get this one but honestly for me it’s not just about saving money but i’ll be free of guilt of wasting food. i don’t like throwing away food because it’s a blessing and many people are starving.
I bet I could save about $400 a year!!!!
I liked FoodSaver on FB
I’ve liked them on FB!
My sister-in-law uses hers and does the marinating while frozen that Jenny describes. I’d love to have one. I’m just I’d save a ton, and I HATE washing freezer bags, so that would be a plus, too.
This would be great! Its hard to buy in bulk for 2 people and I have to cook for one alot since my fiance works nights so this would be wonderful to have! I think we could easily save $300-500 a year.
I would probably save over 500 in lost food alone! When I think of the freezer burn chicken, beef etc. I can’t buy in bulk because of only 3 at home now – almost empty nest. Would love to win one and really experience the savings.
Oops, forgot to leave my email address…I liked them on FB! lori.a.ferguson at gmail.com
Hi Jenny,
Thanks for a chance to win this freezer vacuum system… I have been couponing/stockpiling for almost three years now and I love your blog… I always tell my friends to check it out. Thanks for helping us save lots o money. Jenn
I so need one on these
Just think of all the things I could freeze!!
My mind cannot stop turning
No more freezer burning!!
Oh the money I could save
Please Southern Saver
Won’t you make my day!!
I liked them!
I would save at least a couple hundred!
I think in a year you could save at least 500 – 1000 dollars by freezing your leftovers and not throwing them away. Thanks for the fun giveaway!
I bet I could save $100..I get very frustrated when I open meat and find it’s gotten freezer burn.ahhhhh. this would be awesome to have
I also liked on facebook.
I liked food savers on facebook.

I liked foodsavers
I rarely get freezer burn, so I would not save much money, but I would save my breath. I always suck the air out of ziploc bags to prevent freezer burn.
we try really hard to rotate through our frozen meat and eat everything we have, but this would help ensure things last longer.. i’m not sure how much i would save but it would give me peace of mind :)
I could probably save over $200.
I bet I could save ALOT of money on groceries. Especially with meat. It would last longer in the freezer being sealed like that, so I could buy more when it’s on sale.
I liked foodsavers on facebook
I too would love to try one of these to save $$$! I am thinking I could save $500 a year by buing a half a cow, then freezing the butchered meat! Whacha think?
R
I could probably save a ton. I would like to say $300 or more because I general do not buy my meat in bulk anymore because of previous freezer burn. I also would save alot from fresh produce from our family garden. I have so been wanting a Foodsaver for ever it seems.
I am sure I could save 500 dollars on foods that normally spoil.
It is only my son and I to cook for at home. I hate wasting food. The food saver would be great for buying bulk and freezing smaller portions. Also, these smaller portions would freeze longer so no waste due to freezer burn. I am sure the food saver would save us hundreds of dollars a year and I wouldn’t have the guilt with wasting food. I love to freeze vegetables from the garden and fruits that are in season but this is also necessary as a money saver and this would be perfect for that. It would also take up less room in the freezer than the plastic containers I currently use.
OH MY… The possibilities with these units would be endless!!! Food Storage and freezing alone would be wonderful! then the marinating, YUMMO!! With a family of 6 we never know if there will be 6 at the table or just two at a time so it would really cut down on wasted food. And preparing food to pack for camping you wouldn’t have to worry about zipper bags leaking.
My husband added his excitement would be in being able to oil and then pack up his old family treasured guns. They would then be protected form the oxidation that occurs form storage.
I could easily see us saving over $600 a year on groceries and protecting my husbands heirloom guns would be priceless to him. Thinking out of the box there are so many ideas coming to me…. sealing paints so they don’t dry out, paint brushes when you are the middle of a project and picking back up tomorrow, h (hmmmm) i wonder if it would help keep the markers that i got for free at Walgreens keep from drying out while I use them in the stock pile, making home made ice packs that wont leak, could seal candles to keep the scent longer….. WOW it would be so much fun to experiment with all kinds of things!!!
I could probably save at least $50 per year if I never had to throw out anything due to freezer burn. I don’t throw out much, but this would be a huge help.
Like FoodSaver on faceBook :)
I am sure that I save $600 a year at least by vacuum sealing meats alone. The space saved in the freezer is priceless, too. I can freeze more and buy more in bulk, too.
I am sure I could save hundreds every year by having a food saver! I could by more of the meat specials and not have to worry about FREEZER BURN. The marinating idea sounds awesome, would love to give that a try!
[MY FAMILY COULD SAVE A BOO-COO GAZILLION BUCKAROONIES USING THIS UNIT]
Note: above message was typed in lower case, but vacuum sealed for freshness (it appears as larger type pressed against the plastic… lol)
i think i could probably save around a 1,000….you can freeze meats, vegetables from the garden, leftovers!!! i would love to have one!! thanks for the opportunity!!!!
i think that i could save 300$ or more a year bc we can buy more. also save freezer space!
I have never used one of these neat gadgets so I have no idea how much money I would save but…I am going to guess between $300 – $500.
Would love to try them!
liked on facebook
probably well over 500 dollars a year by using one of these
i like food saver on FB under cooklynn50@yahoo.com
I have wanted one of these for so long – ever since I started couponing. We generally split all our meat packages into smaller portions and freeze them. This would be so much better! We also blanch and freeze extra fresh veg from our garden – just started gardening this summer and I LOVE it! No more overprice peppers at the grocery store! I think by freezing all my veggies and splitting my meat into usable portions I would potentially save hundreds of dollars.
My new husband and I have been wanting this item for awhile. We buy in bulk, but since it is just the two of use we don’t go through the meat fast enough some times. This would help prolong our meat usage time. We use the vacuum bags, but they are pricey. I would save about $384 a year at least!
Probably around $500 for a family of 2
i think my wife and i could save a few hundred dollars, but i would be nice and share with my family so we could save a lot more!
I have been looking at food savers and would love to have this beautiful FoodSaver model. My freezer is small and things must be stacked. Sometimes I get freezer burn and have to toss items; such a waste of money. This would probably save hundreds of dollars every year.
As an aside just wanted to let you know your hard work in find all the deals for coupons, freebies and give-aways is very much appreciated. Thanks.
Probably at least a few hundred dollars easily, because it would allow us to be able to save our meats.
I know this item would save hundreds of dollars. I like to buy in bulk when on sale and freeze smaller portions for later.
Easily a couple hundred dollars! I had a much older model for over 8 years and literally wore it out. These are great for putting leftovers in small packages in the freezer for lunches, meats, dry goods……! I miss mine so much and would love to have this Cadillac version. I could go on for hours telling what I used mine for. I never had to worry about freezer burn either.
I look at and covet this machine at least once a week. I need this and want this more than an Ipad. I am sure I could save hundreds, not sure how many. I shy away from buying too much meat, afraid of freezer burn. Problem solved with this.
we have a teeny tiny freezer in our apt and i could use it on everything we have(thats stored in the freezer and more). Im sure our saving could be 500-700 in a year if we could stock up on things right now i cant. Good luck everyone
I buy in bulk due to having 2 teenage and a husband who really like to eat. I end up throwing half of my frozen foods away if my family doesn’t get to them all. Which is a lot since we are a busy family. I would say hundreds of dollars would be saved. Thank you!
Thanks for the giveaway! I would estimate our yearly savings to be about $400. We buy in “semi-bulk” already, but just enough to get us through a couple weeks.
I would save about $1,500.00 in a year using FoodSaver.
This would save us loads of money each year. I would love to buy meat in bulk, but am afraid it will go bad before we get to it. This would help with that.
I would save about $1,500.00 per year with the FoodSaver.
I’m a fan of FoodSaver on facebook!
I liked it on FB!
I would save 100’s of dollars with this!!
I “liked” FoodSaver on faceboook.
WOW!! Everyone needs a FoodSavor. I am in the process of looking for a new one because the one I have is about to go! I am always buying meat on sale and then coming home and using the vaccum seal to keep it fresh. I also buy cheese in bulk and then cut to one pound packs. A FoodSavor saves a lot of time and money!! I know because I really use mine!
I’d save oodles and oodles! Think I might even give the ol’ man a chance to use this gadget!
I would save a ton of money and load my freezer with your best meat deals
I have a 2 yr old on a restricted diets and meats are her main source she can have. I would save TONS by not having to throw away the fish she eats but the rest of us don’t (YUCK!) I can prepackage meals into smaller packages and one use what we need! With 3 kids in the house they are picky on what they will eat! I haven’t really kept track of what I’ve spent because the youngest HAS to eat so I would say in the $1,000-$2,000 range!
Would guess my household would save about $500 a year! My mom had a foodsaver when I was a kid and we did alot of freezing of things from the garden. It tasted so fresh by using a foodsaver. Would love to have one!
I’m not sure how much money I would save, but I know it would be a lot!!!
liked foodsaver on facebook—-thanks for this giveaway!
I like Foodsaver on FB.
I am sure it would be around $600 a year in savings or more/ I really covet a foodsaver.
Liked FoodSaver on fb! :)
liked foodsaver on fb—thanks for the giveaway!
I would save hundreds of dollars with this. We like to go to the meat market to stock up but I throw so much away due to freezer burn. And I liked them on FB too!
liked foodsaver on facebook—-thanks for the giveaway!
I could save sooooo much with this. I would love to vacuum seal steaks (especially already marinated ones) and fish for quick, non-freezerburned dinners:)
I think I could save a lot of money by not having to buy freezer bags plus I could buy more meat in bulk so that saves so much money right there.
I could save a fortune. We do a lot of hunting and it would keep the meat fresh much longer. Thanks
I could save around $1000 a year. You could buy the food when it’s on sale in bulk and rewrap in smaller portions. Also pre cook and seal in individual serving sizes for lunch. I would love to win this!!
Well let’s see…I have six people on a normal night to feed. However when my son has friends over or other family members come over..there are alot of people to feed. So the foodsaver would help me pack meat according to how much I may need on any given night. Meal for 6,10 or one day…2. It could also help me divide between lunch and dinner…One person doesnt eat pork so I could do individual meat pac. So I would say the foodsaver could save me alot because I could buy in bulk, freeze only the meat I need for different meals…no waste and no plate full of leftover meat. And since meat is my most expensive purchase in a month…let’s make that $1200.00/year.
i recently got married in april and now to save money we buy in bulk and try to freeze bags and its a pain. but since i am in school we dont have extra money for nicer appliances ( like a wonderful foodsaver that i have been asking for) so on top of couponing, the foodsaver would help saver 100s and 100s of dollars so im not buy freezer bags or throw away meat with freezer burn that my bags didnt keep the air out. :) thanks for all ur awesome help jenny! i wish we could all tell u how much we have saved over the years
Wow this is a tough question however I think that when I go back to work this would save hundreds because I could vaccum seal meals for the entire week made into portions for the whole family or just individuals plus I could take them to work and not eat out for lunch. Thank you sooooooo much. Rachel Wingert rachelwingert@hotmail.com
I could save hundreds!
Oh easily a couple hundred dollars on meat!
The savings would be tremendous!! I don’t hunt, but I could start buying so much more and putting it away without worrying about freezer burn! Sounds like an amazing giveaway, thanks!!
xmartinez8@aol.com
I’m thinking we could save at least a couple of hundred dollars a year using this, so I’d be beyond thrilled to win this!
jill24295@yahoo.com
With the new way of shopping thanks to teachers like yourself I feel that having a foodsaver would allow me to save at least a thousand a year if not more. I would be able to purcharse more meat (when on sale) and dairy products without the fear of spoiling before my family and I could consume them. I think now you can even foodsave chips and cereal. Actually having a foodsaver could allow me to prepare meals in advance and save them on plates or in dishes. That is very good for working moms like myself. Thanks for entering me in the amazing contest.

With neighbors giving away produce and being able to save food from the garden, I think that I could save at least $300 a year, if not much more.
My brother planted a huge garden this year. We went through hundreds of freezer storage bags. The foodsaver would have been a Godsend. In addition, It looks like I have a lot of freezer burned meat in my freezer. Between the garden vegetables and the spoiled meat, I could probably save a couple of hundred dollars a year.
I think I can save up to $300 a year by using this super cool gadget. I would love to marinate meat and freeze it for a quick meal! I also buy meat in bulk, from farmer’s market that is about an hour away from me. And yes – if you store meat incorrectly in the freezer, it becomes yucky and I throw it out!
Easily a few hundred dollars. We had a cheap version of one a couple years ago, but it died. Saved us on meat.
Easily a few hundred dollars. We had a cheap version of one a couple years ago, but it died. Saved us on meat.
Just finished saving up and bought a freezer would Love to have a FoodSaver. always wanted to try one.
I have borrowed my mother’s a couple of times to put up a cow we have slaughtered and it works wonderful! I would save thousands every year,
i always have to buy plastic storage bags and sometimes threw frozen meats/vegetables out, because o freezer burn. I dont have a ball park figure but i know i would save, and i wanted a foodsaver, its exactly what it says ‘ a foodsaver.”
I would say i can save half of my budget every week which is about 2000 dollars in a year ! we have food saver before until we lost it when we moved . i used to buy produce when its on season like berries , I love summer when almost everything is cheap or sometimes when families and friends give us some of their garden produce,I vacuum freeze them up, and were good for a couple of months. then sometime of the year my husband is buying a good load of meats on farms and have them butchered. and i almost forgot, when its fishing season a lot of friends gives us fish. oh how i miss my foodsaver! lol
I could save hundreds i am sure. I would feel confident to stock up on meat, when on sale and then with the hundreds I saved I could get an ipad.
My husband and I ground our own beef, and by using the Foodsaver, my ground beef would not get freezer burn. It will stay fresher. I could also save hundreds of dollars.
I could save at least 100.00 with this! This would have come in handy when my husband was catching wild salmon in Alaska!
I liked them on fb!
I liked FoodSaver on Facebook.
I think I could save about $300 a year or more by using the Food Saver.
Maybe $100 savings?
I think I could save $500 a year. This would be great for leftovers and any food to freeze.
I liked Food Saver
I would use this to buy larger quantities of meat when it’s on sale and save lots!
I have had one of these on my wish list for a long time!
I would love to get a food saver.I would save about $350.00 a year by sealing my meats in them. The cheese would last longer too!!!!!!!!!!!!Sealing chips, cereal or anything to keep from spoiling!!!!!!!!
I have borrowed by mother’s a few times to put up beef we had slaughtered. It works wonderful and would love to own one myself. I could save thousands if I had one to use all the time
With this foodsaver product, I estimate I can save over $500 per year. The foodsaver would allow me to purchase meat products in bulk rather than by the piece increasing the amount saved on the meat products I purchase. I had an old Seal-A-Meal which finally gave up and am in need of a replacement…The foodsaver is by far rated heads above any other brand on the market. I would love to have this foodsaver.
With 3 kids I could save hundreds.. replacing ziplock bags and food spoilage.. Would freeze everything… I would put it to the test..
I would love to have one of these! I could probably save about $500 a year by making my own pre-packaged meals.
I purchased a bunch of chicken breast on sale this month and used regular ziploc bags which are fine, but do not work near as good as the food saver. I saved about $55 this month on meat. So in a year I could save about $600. That’s amazing.
I think I would save close to 500 a year. Currently we buy boneless Skinless chicken breasts in bulk at Sams and We freeze them usually a Case can last me almost 6 months. So this would help with the freezer burn on them
It’s just 2 of us and we love a boneless skinless chicken sale. I also could relly invest in some serious batch cooking. Ziplock are good but foodsaver would be top shelf. I know we could hands down save another $4-500.
With 2 small kids in the house the foodsaver could save hundreds of dollars. what I would like to be able to do is freeze finished meal since I like to cook a lot on the weekends.
I would use it to seal my meat I buy in bulk and also I love the idea of creating the different meals for the week. Oh that would save me about $100! Thank you for the opportunity! :)
Likeing it on Facebook too! :)
We don’t have a deep freezer (will probably once we start having kiddos) but I still think I could save roughly $250 simply by not having so much packaging products taking up so much space. I would have more room in the freezer to buy more products. Would love to try it out!
Liked it on facebook….
I liked FoodSaver on Facebook!!!
Liked FoodSaver on FB
mine died and i know i’ve spent at least $1000+ more in the last 6 month
We have the world’s smallest freezer and could save 200 or more by have this space saving tool!
Easily hundreds by saving the food from freezer burn and from it going bad!!
i could save alot by being able to buy in bulk and not having everything get freeze burned. I think i could save easily $300-500 a year if not more.
ooohhhh…. easily 400-500. I’ve been wanting to start batch cooking!
This thing would save me probably over a 1000 or more a year due to the fact that the nearest store is 35 miles away and i only get paid every 2 weeks so i have to buy in bulk and i end up throwing away more than we eat due to freezer burn :( single mom with 4 kids it sure takes alot especially with 3 boys
I have tried brand name freezer bags to even those hand held suction devices that seal the food in a special freezer bag. I know I would save at least $300 – $400 each year with this product!
liked it on FB too!
I would think that I would waste hundreds a year, maybe more, without it. Unfortunately I have to throw away a fair amount of meat from freezer burn! :(
Not only will I save money but I like to bag extra meat, etc. for my children and send it home with them. When I buy in bulk I like to divide it up and freeze. We also deer hunt and packaging meat is really important. Freezer burn is the pits!
I would say a couple hundred a year.
I am sure that several hundreds of dollars would be saved in this family of 6 if not closer to $1000!
Ah. The comment thing is back…
We buy in bulk and family gardens. Easily at least $200 saved there, annually.
But that doesn’t account for time savings. I also like to bake in bulk, which saves hours down the road. Then there is the capacity to quick seal mason jars with homemade soup for longer food refrigeration (sort of ‘cool canning’), or simply vacuum pack briefly for a near instant marinade. And it also works great for shipping home-baked goodies to friends and family overseas; sandwich baggies don’t even compare. One of these days…
I think I could save at least a hundred or more!
I love couponing to buy items on sale, and if I had a Food saver it would really help me to save even more, sealing meats and breads for longer periods of time and savings!!!
Liked and commented on Facebook.
I am a fan of Foodsaver on Facebook.
I’d love to have one to keep from having to throw away hundreds of dollars worth of meat every year. Meat is expensive in my area and I only buy it on sale. I’d also like to be able to preserve leftovers a little better as well as the summer bounty from home gardens.
I’ve wanted one of these forever. I bet I could save hundreds of dollars! Thanks for the opp to win!
I liked Foodsaver on FB, too!
more or less i can save $200 a year .i usually used ziploc bags for storing food in the freezer. i dreamed of getting a foodsaver but cannot afford it.maybe this is my chance to have one.thanks
We have an old one that is falling apart. By buying meat in bulk and freezing it, we save around $500/year for a family of four just by using a foodsaver. This model marinates, so that would save time, too.
I could save $100s this year! Have wanted one and eyed them in the store but $$$ is tight!
we would easily save a couple hundred dollars a year!
I know it may be possible to save hundreds of dollars a year by buying meat and other groceries on sale or in bulk and freezing it.
i liked foodsaver on fb!
I could save well over $500 a year. I’ve been eyeing ground beef by the case at Sam’s Club – this would be the only way to purchase a case of meat without it going bad – it would save me over $.50 per pound on this purchase alone!
Tons of savings!!! No more buying in bulk, freezing, then pulling it out to ue with ice crystal on it!!!
Hmmmmm…..I think that I could easily save $300-$400 for our family a year with a food saver. We so very often get stuck with buying in bulk and then going just barely a month later to pull our frozen meat out and finding it’s already freezer burned! It drives me nuts and wastes us so much money!
I would love to have a food saver because I could keep food fresh when i find it on sale. no matter what brand of freezer bag i have tried, it just doesn’t keep things from freezer burn!!
I could save so much, buying sale meat and getting it in the freezer right away :O)
If you lived in the Carolinas you could still be getting fresh produce and freezing it also. Maybe you could move there soon and form the coupon wonder twins with your sissy.
It’s just my husband and I and we definitely find it better to buy in large quanities and break down into meals for 2 but freezer burn is a problem. Would love to have a Foodsaver for these bulk buys as well as freezing fresh veggies. I think we would easily save $500 or more.
I would save a lot, I’m thinking about $300 a year! Enough for a spa day!! :)
I would LOVE this!!! I always try to buy meats in bulk and break it down into serving size before freezing! I think I would save at least $300 a year with something like this just on meat! The possibilities are endless though. You can use it to freeze veggies in the summer, freeze leftovers for reheating later… Oh my! I want this one BADLY!!!!
I am sure we would at least save $100 if we could buy more bulk food and then save it.
Between my garden and a FoodSaver I think I could save hundreds!
I think that i could save about $250 a month buying food at sam’s in bulk then repacking it and freeze it till needed later. Thanks for the chance. liz
I think that my family could save bundles considering that right now we dont really buy any items in bulk to the storage problem and freezer burn. This would be a Great Product to own!!
I have no idea how much but probably a lot. We have issues with freezer burn in our apartment refrigerator and I have to throw more away than I want to.
I liked Food Saver on Facebook
Sealing with the FoodSaver would insure that the food will be yummy-fresh when you take from the freezer. Much less waste from freezer burn would also mean hundreds in savings for my family’s budget.
I would save a TON of money, my parents have one and food lasts so much longer in the freezer with this system. When meat is on sale they buy it and then vacuum seal it and put it in the freezer. Food lasts literally three times longer than “freezer bags”!
With just my husband and I, we always make too much and would just love to have a FoodSaver to store leftovers for future meals. Also, we can then buy in bulk and break them down in meals. I believe that we would save around $400 a year.
I would save hundreds of dollars on food for my family by stocking up on sale items without worrying about freezer burn.
Ive heard great things about it. I can imagine at least $100.00 a month.
it would be so easy to stock up on meat when i found a good deal and not have to worry about it getting freezer burn when we forget about it in the back of the freezer. I think my family could save at least $500 a year with one of these becuase not only would we be able to stock up better, but we also won’t have meat going to waste either.
This food saver would save my family hundreds of dollars a month. My husband is on a very strict diet because he is waiting for a heart transplant. He really can only eat fresh vegetables and salmon. This could save me easily hundreds a month because I could buy the veggies when they are on sale and freeze as opposed to going to the store every couple of days to make sure they are fresh.
I just got a new deep freezer 2 weeks ago, and i didnt want to go all out and buy alot of meat cause i knw how quick meats can get freezer burn. This would be a great thing to have for my family. All the good deals i want to get i can get and not have to worry about it going bad before i use it.
thanks,
katie
I have even tried to get my family to buy me one for Christmas. I know I would be able to save 1 to 2 hundred a month with one
I’ve wanted one so bad for as long as I could remember! It would have
easily paid for itself by now. I cook everything from scratch and I cook
ahead. Not only would I save $1000’s just by keeping my food fresh
longer, but I would have saved on freezer bags too.
I have 10 kids and could possibly save hundreds.
I would say a good $150 a month.
I know I could save hundreds a year! I’ve thrown out too much freezer burnt meat. With 4 kids I try to buy up on meats when they are on sale.
About a $1,000 and that thing would help me alot with me feeding 2 widower brothers, 1 nephew, my son, my niece, my dad and my husband (and whoever else shows up for Sunday lunch) AND it would keep my husband from trying to suck all the air out of a zip lock bag trying to act like a FoodSaver! No kidding :)
The time that will be saved is worth so much
My FoodSaver has been broken about 2 years and being out of work have not been able to buy another one. We really saved hundreds of dollars when we did have the FoodSaver. Saving money not having to go to store every other day is another saving. All pennies count when you are not working. FoodSaver is really a money saver.
‘like’ on FB
I have a large freezer in my garage and would be able to save at least $100 per month buying meat in bulk and freezing.
I’m not sure how much I can save yet, but I bet it would be a lot. I am guessing about $50 a month at lest!
I know I could save probably about $600 to $700 a year with this! I hate having to throw meat out just cause we didn’t cook it in time!!! plus it is also great for veggies and fruits… Hope I win!!!!!!!!!!
FoodSaver is one of the best investments a family can make to help save money. All of the vegetables from our garden are frozen and still taste as fresh as when they were first picked. Our favorite is whole corn. Pull corn from the stalk, remove a few of the outer husks and remove any undesirables. Then you are ready to vacuum seal and freeze.Weeks or months later remove from freezer bag place in microwave and cook approximately 5 minutes. Thanks FoodSaver my family saves money and eats healthy all year,
oh, gracious! Our little back yard garden keeps sprawling year after year and to freeze hundreds of dollars in okra, corn, green beans and peppers would be amazing! Also, when boneless chicken is ummmm, $1.39/lb and hamburger is $1.59/lb, I will buy many many lbs. of each at a time and freeze them safely! Steaks-no problems, deer meat-no problem. Cinnamon rolls-bring it on! I’d easily say I’d save over $600/year for my family of 5.
With only one income, any money we save on food is fabulous. Making the frozen veggies and meat stretch farther and last longer would save about $600 a year. However, if I get one then, I could buy more frozen food, which would actually save me more money because I could stock up when the price is LOW.
It would save me and my family between 100 to 200 a year. And I love the idea of preparing my meat ahead of time. I work full time and this would come in handy.
This would be a great tool for saving money on our grocery bill. As a single mother, every penny counts! It would be great to stock up on meat when it is on sale, and we are always getting produce from my parents’ garden (this would help us freeze it for later). I think it could save us at least $500 a year.
This would save at least $200 a year by buying in bulk and when meat is on sale. It would great to stock the freezer.
It would save my family a ton of money throughout the year, atleast $200 but probably way more!
We could save a lot of money buying meat in bulk and freezing it. We could probably save $500 to $600 a year. I would really love to win one of these!
I have an older FoodSaver machine that I love. I have saved so much money with packing the food from my garden. My favorite thing is to buy meat on sell. Before I freeze the meat, I marinade it so it is ready to put on the grill.
I would luv to win the Foodsaver I have seen them on TV many times & I know that we could save several hundred dollars.
leebell1@yahoo.com
Talk about ironic….I just cleaned out my chest freezer today. I must have thrown away at least $100 worth of food. How different would things have been if I had a Foodsaver V3880 Vacuum Sealer Kit?! Not only would I have had food that wasn’t ruined, but I could also buy meat and veggies in bulk when they are on sale without worrying about them going bad.
My parents have one and I am dying for my own!
LOVE your site. I don’t have a huge problem with my freezer giving freezer burn before we eat things, but I am all about the marinating/prep before freezing!! I am pretty sure time savings alone would be a money saver…all told close to $300 dollars!
I could save hundreds of dollars a year w/this product. Not just with leftovers but with having the ability to properly freeze more food items. I could freeze more fresh produce from our small garden as well as buying more items in bulk, confident that they will be sealed. I REALLY would love one of these…If I won, I would be ecstatic!
We just bought a new upright freezer to start buying in bulk to save money. This foodsaver would definitely save us $400+ a month easily. This would be an awesome appliance to have!
I can only guess that I would save $500 in the first year but since I’m going to be planting a large garden next spring I would expect to save even more in coming years
As a mom who works full time, and is a full-time student, being able to prep several nights meals and freeze is a life-saver! I am tired of freezer burn ruining perfectly good dinner plans!!!
Would soooo love to have a FoodSaver system! For years, we were a family of 6 but my nest has quickly emptied down to just my husband and I (except when the kids drop in for dinner!) Being so used to buying in bulk, I am still buying family packs and then breaking down into zip lock freezer bags. I have the same problems as everyone else, with freezer burn, not using meat fast enough, etc. So this system would be awesome! And the savings….hundreds$$$ to say the least!
I would love too receive this!! I have two elderly grandmas (one 85 the other 90) who I always try and freeze some quick meals for. Or something they can just pop in the crock pots so they don’t have to worry about making big meals. I also buy in bulk meats to share with them cause they are both on a fixed budget. Also I have been thinking about going in with another family on buying a cow for meat ( thanks Jenny for the idea at the becoming conf) and this piece of equipment would save me hundreds of dollars and help out multiple family members!! I love ur site it has saved my family so much money and a made it posable for my to share with my extended family who don’t have alot. Thank you!!
I could really enjoy a food saver and save a lot of money. My mother has been wanting one for a while. She is 84 and has always loved to can a lot of vegetables in the summer. There is a u-pick field close to our home and every summer i take vacation during the first few weeks the field is open. I pick the vegetables and mom helps me prepare them. We can a lot of them, but we also put a lot in the freezer. It is hard work, but she enjoys it so much. we put up way more than we can use, but there is always someone that runs low on funds, and we try to share with them. God blesses us and then we are able to help other people. I can not estimate the amount that we would save, but i spend a lot of money on other freezer bags, and they do not store the food as well. If we had a food saver, we would put it to good use.
Maybe this would help me cook more often for my family!! My husband would love for me to win the foodsaver so I will cook and save money!! I think I could save at least $500 dollars!
Maybe this would help me cook more often for my family!! My husband would love for me to win the foodsaver so I will cook and save money!! I think I could save at least $500 dollars!
I’m sure I can save $100.00 a month so I’m sure that would save me $1200.00 dollars a year. I live alone and I would be able to buy in bulk, saving me even more money.
I know I would save hundreds of $$$ by buying at stockpile prices on meat!
I have an old model food saver. Would love a new one! Hundreds a yeAr!
Hundreds a year!
I am guessing that I would save at least $350 just on food that I wouldn’t have to throw out because the freezer burnt it. If I added the savings from stocking up during sales, I would say that amount would be closer to $500 or $600 per year. Yes, I would LOVE to have one these little gadgets. Thanks for the review and giveaway!!! Very helpful info, and getting me to think about how many times one of these would pay for itself.
I know I could save several hundred dollars easily. Especially considering I am always throwing away produce that goes bad.
The FoodSaver could help me save over a $1000/yr easily…I would be able to stock up on meat and poultry. In addition, I could freeze chili, sauces, herbs, and fruit! The possibilities are endless!
Buying meats and vegetables alone would save me at least 500 dollars a tear. Thanks FoodSaver!
Buying meats and vegetables alone would save me at least 500 dollars a tear. Thanks FoodSaver!
I could easily save $500- $700 just with the meat we buy and freeze not to mention fruit and veggies!! Ive always wanted one of these too!! Thanks
It would save a lot for me because my husband too easily convinces me to eat out too often. I just recently bought a pressure cooker so that I can more quickly produce meals. But if I could have things already prepped in the freezer and reliably stored for a long time, I am going to estimate our yearly savings at $2400. The reason is that we spend more than $300 eating out per month. Making a concerted effort to reduce this number to $100 a month would would save us $2400.
I’m not sure that I would actually save money as I haven’t had problems with my meat getting freezer burn but I think this system would be more convenient than my current method. I freeze meat in individual servings in aluminum foil and then additionally package them together in a zip-lock freezer bag. I slip a card in the bag noting the identity of the meat and date.
I can’t even begin to calculate how much I would save with a food saver machine, but I know it would be hundereds of dollars each year. I would seal things like meat & cheese. We just have the two of us here, so we can’t save on buying the larger packs of meats & cheese that are less expensive per serving. Thanks for the review & the chance to win. JIL
this will totally help save us a couple hundred a year. between meat and produce….whew! I like to garden/pick my own stuff for winter, but it does not always make it plus, pressing the dumb button on the ziplockthing HURTS and des not get ot all of the air…
I could easily save a thousand! Food Saver is awesome
I am sure it would save us around $500.00 with meat alone.
The amount of money that could be saved is amazing…My mother lives in KY and the grocery stores there often offer WHOLE Tbones or RibEyes for $3.99 per pound…here the best price I can find is $5.99…huge difference when you are talking about 25 pounds of beef each.
We also hunt and fish. We process our own venison and the food saver would be much easier, quicker and I wouldn’t be afraid that my meat could be freezer burnt. I don’t know how it would work for the fish because we freeze it in saltwater and I wonder about being able to seal bags of water.
Then there is the garden, I think the Food Saver would be wonderful for corn, beans greens…just everything that you would want to store and not worry about the yucky freezer burnt taste.
One question, does the food taste like plastic when you heat it up to serve ~ especially leftovers?
I reckon that I could save about $300.00-400.00 a year by stocking up when I see a good sale and buying in bulk.
Liked Foodsaver on Facebook
I’ll be able to save at least $150 a month b/c I’ll be able to buy in bulk and seal everything back up.
My parents have used one for years. In addition to meat, they seal both block and shredded cheese and dried vegetables such as bellpeppers. I know it can save you hundreds of dollars each year.
I can save hundreds of dollars per year. We buy bulk packages of meat, then we have to seperate them into smaller packages to be the right amount for the family to cook that night. I can’t tell you how many times we have had freezer burn meat in the freezer. This would help our family out!
Wow, I think I could save at least $250 a year. Maybe a lot more!
We just bought a new freezer as ours was giving out after 17 years of service. I was amazed as I was trying to prepare all of the frozen food we had (quickly) just how much had freezer burn. My husband has commented twice on the meat tasting a little funny which is no laughing matter! I finally took the hint and threw out at least 12 pounds of meat items & countless bags of frozen vegetables. It pained me to do this, and I would estimate that we would probably save at least $400+ a year when I think of all the fresh vegetables & fruits that end up in the trash as well. I could have sealed & frozen them. Our new fridge set us back $1500, and having a foodsaver would make that investment a little less painful as I am sure it would save us the dreaded “wasted food” cost. Thank you for the opportunity!
We purchased a freezer and unfortuantely didn’t have the money to get a self defrosting one. It pains me to throw away food and it seems like I have to do that monthly. I buy buyone get one items and many items get ice crystals in the bags. I feel all the money I save I am throwing away. We could save $450 at least.
With my large family of 6, I think we could save atleast $500. I had a FoodSaver in the past, but mine has been broken for several years after using it for a long time. I also used it when I made an extra large dinner to freeze some individual portions that my husband could reheat for himself and the kids when I am working a closing shift at work. It is easy like a frozen dinner, but the nutrition and taste of home cooking.
I really have no idea how much I would save in a year….but I would guess around $100?!
I liked foodsaver, so here’s my second chance for winning!!
Just like you I have always wanted to try the food saver, I just cant break down and buy one at this time, but if I win I won’t have to!! :) I have heard great things about them from friends and how much they save by not throwing food away. I would love to be up to the challagne just like you.
With a family of 4 and on a tight budget. I buy lots of meat early in the mornings at a marked down price, and bring it home and divide it out, so we can have several meals for a great price. I would love to have a foodsaver to keep my meat from being freezer burnt. With the food saver I almost bet I could save 500.00 or more a year with doing vegetables and fruit this way to.
Wow…would love to have one of these ( I bought one with my birthday money last year, but took it back because I felt guilty). I could save a ton of money because I wouldn’t be afraid to freeze something!
I could save atleat $200.00. I have had meat with freezer burn that has had o be thrown away this week. Such a waste
I think I could really save alot. I think I could save at least a 400.00 – 500.00 a year. Its so disapointing to try and stick to a budget and shop for deals. Bring your stuff home divide it up into freezer bags only to have to throw them away later because of freezer burn. Jenny I would love to try the Food Saver and not have to throw out anymore meats and veggies.
I’m like you were, I’ve always wanted one but haven’t tried it yet. Hope I win!
I would love to win this!
I would hope I could save a couple hundred a year by not throwing out wasted freezer burned meat.
Just found some Paula Dean chicken last night that I got for .80cent after coupons, with savings like that I could really stock up on meat that will last in the freezer for 6mths plus.
I work for a non-profit organization that builds affordable, sustainable housing in Native American communities. Like other non-profits, we are dependant on donations, which have really declined in the last few years. A huge chunk of our budget goes to feeding our volunteers during our building season. If we were able to buy food in bulk and freeze during the off season, it would be a HUGE savings. …probably thousands of dollars…
I’m sooo tired of freezer burn. I know I could save at least $400 a year. I have wanted one of these for so long
I could save probably $300-$350 a year. It seems like when I want to fix something involving meat, the only packages I can purchase have more quantity than I need, so I end up wasting alot of meat. I have tried to put it in regular ziploc bags, but that doesn’t work at all.
Are winners being selected based on the comment or is it a random drawing? Just wondering how winners are chosen — In any event anyone selected will save and I would like to be that person
I think that with a foodsaver, combined with coupons and specials, I could save another $1200 a year. I currently throw away leftovers and believe that with a foodsaver, I could always freeze the leftovers, and eat them in a few weeks, instead of days later. I could also pre make many meals to reheat later. Foodsaver would help prevent freezer burn. I put less in my freezer because of freezer burn.. With a new foodsaver in the house I would use the freezer more, trash less..
I’ve been thinking about purchasing 1/4 cow from a local farmer, but wondered how long I could store all that meat in my regular spare freezer. I bet the FoodSaver would be the perfect solution!!
I’ve been thinking about buying 1/4 of a cow from a local farmer, but I’m worried about how to store all that meat in my regular freezer. The FoodSaver would be the perfect solution to keeping meat fresh over a long period of time!!
Hi, we throw out a lot of meat and veggies due to freezer burn to include venison and fish my husband brings home. I would estimate we would save at least $200 a year by being able to properly store venison, fish, veggies, and our meats we purchase from a wholesale club.
I think I could save about $1200 a year. I throw away leftovers. I fear to use the freezer with meals I make, because of the freezer burn, and I have the best intentions of eating the leftovers but never finish them completely. With a foodsaver I will be less afraid to freeze my meals. With a new foodsaver, I would use the freezer more and the trash can less…
A few hundred dollars at least. I’d be able to buy more to stock my freezer during sales and not worry about freezer-burn…
I think I could save at least $1,000 a year by buying in bulk and freezing. This would also be great for freezer cooking!
I would love this, I used to have one years ago and it was wonderful, no more freezer burn, I could save a bundle of money a year with this we have 7 children 5 still at home so I try to buy in bulk I believe I could save at least $3oo.00 a year, if I won this. Thank you for the chance.
Save hundreds easy…as well as helping out with the crop from the garden.
Wow–I think I could at LEAST save $600 plus a year because I would be able to buy in bulk and not have to worry about freezer burn and could seal up chips bags too!
WOW- I think I could save at least $600 a year because I would be able to buy in bulk and be able to freeze and not worry about freezer burn! Not to mention being able to seal chip bags. I throw out lots of chips because my husband will leave the bag open and they go stale.
I would LOVE to have this! My husband works 2nd shift and I work 1st so I am constantly freezing and saving meals for him to eat and take to work. This would make my life so much easier! I would save a GAZILLION $$$! Please pick me!!! :D
With a food saver I could buy the bigger packs of meat and then freeze much of it– this would save me a lot of money over a year.
I think that I could save a couple hundred dollars as well using the food savers. This would be an awesome win!
It’s hard to estimate, but I suspect I would save a significant amount of money because I do a LOT of freezer cooking. My main complaint? I can never get all the air out of the bags. I’ve also seen (On Pinterest) where you can use a FoodSaver device and a wide-mouth attachment to seal salad mix in a jar in the fridge. The amount of salad mix I toss because it turns brown so fast is outrageous!
I like FoodSaver on FB
I bought my foodsaver about 13-14 years ago and it’s just now starting to give me trouble. We have a large family (8) and buy meat in bulk most of the time, so I have used it A LOT. I can’t begin to guess how much I’ve saved each year using mine…probably a couple hundred. Well worth the investment, but I’m in need of a replacement now. Would love to win! :)
I liked Food Saver on Facebook.
The food saver would make it so much easier for me to buy meats, etc. when the prices are very low. It seems like zipper bags just don’t hold out the freezer burn well enough. I hate to waste money when I’m desperately trying to save. The Foodsaver would help with this. I have seen one at the home of an acquaintance, but just don’t have the money to buy one for myself right now.
I liked Foodsaver on Facebook!
I am embarrassed to say that I throw way too much good food away! I could save hundreds of dollars a year by saving leftovers for soups and stews, as well as removing meats from the flimsy packaging at the market and packing them in the foodsaver, so they would retain their quality longer and not get “freezer burn”
I really could use this! I hate throwing away left overs because they go back so soon!! With a family of four coupons and ways to save food are a must!!! I know we waste so much money throwing food away. We could probably save at least a few hundred a year!!! That would be a life saver!!!!!!!!!!
I always wanted one of these. I am not sure how much $ I would save per year but I am guessing a lot! Freezer bags (no matter what brand) never seem to work for me, my food is still left with freezer burn.
I’m guessing that I could save $1000 a year freezing items so they don’t gfo bad. Frozen meats, spices, dehydrated items, and I’m really interested how it works in preserving fruts and vegies from the garden – as this is my first year growing our produce. Please pick me! Thanks!
No matter how well I wrap things, they always get freezer burn. I bet I could save $1000 per year!
My family could really use this! I have wanted to buy a foodsaver in the past, but could never see the cost benefit until now. I started freezing left overs because I was pregnant with my second girl and I remembered from the first birth, that I didn’t want to cook for awhile because I was tired or just wanted to spend time with the new addition. After finally digging into the frozen meals, I realized you can’t make them that far in advance (even if you suck all the air out yourself). A lot of my meals just got thrown away which left me in a panic to prepare a quick meal with a hungry bunch waiting.
We have 3 freezers total and I love to stock up on “manager specials” or sale items, besides the left overs. Please help me save my money, food, and sanity : )

with a family of 6, almost 7, we would save hundreds of dollars on food. Also, with so many different schedules it would be nice to make dinners ahead of time & freeze them for when the kids have to grab & go. This would be awesome to win! Thanks for the opportunity!

I think you could save 700.00 a year easy.
It would easily save you 700.00 a year
As a single mom with three kids, I shop in bulk all the time at Sam’s Club and realize meats last longer with the Spacesaver. Although I have a hard time finding the refill bags at retailers, when I do find them these bags save so much space in the freezer than ziploc bags any day.
I think it would save me about 100-200 a month.
It would easily save us over $200 a month. I run a food ministry for our church and it would save us about $400- $500 a month!!! I would be soooo extremely excited to get this!!!!
For my family, we could easily save around $500 a year, and probably much more than that. Now that I’m a stay-at-home mom, I’m working hard to make my husband’s salary stretch as far as possible by couponing, shopping in bulk, cooking at home, “power” cooking/freezer meals, etc and I’ve started looking into a FoodSaver…keeping my fingers crossed that this puppy gets to come live at MY house!
Rachel
I tried a food saver years ago and was successful until it tore up and I haven’t been able to buy a new one yet – I could really use a new one. My husband is an avid hunter and fisherman. If I could had a better way of freezing w/o freezer burn, it would keep it much longer. I would think it would save $150 a month just in meats and garden items alone. The savings from leftovers would be tremendous also. I have 3 teenage boys that also hunt and fish. They eat alot too. I think this would help buy some things in bulk with out the worry of it going bad.
at least a savings of $300
This would be wonderful and save me money by being able to buy larger quantities of food and free them! I can get meat cheaper in large quantities, then break them up into single dinner size meals. I would love to win this product!
Oh my goodness, not sure how much money I’d save in a year… but I freeze EVERYTHING – my baby food, the leftover produce from farmer’s markets, meat in bulk, venison my husband kills… I’ve always wanted a foodsaver but just don’t have the money for it. Would love to win this!
I like Foodsaver on FB!
I would love one of these!!! It’d be so much easier to freezer large amounts of meat and produce!
I “like” foodsaver on facebook. :D
I don’t know how much I would save in a year but I do know I have been debating getting one of these. It would help so much at my house.
I would really like to save money by using one of these.
I freeze and can every summer and save a great deal and the satisfaction of doing it all yourself. A new Food Saver would make my savings even greater.
I would LOVE to have one of these- esp for my meat to freeze it!!! Pick me :-)
I think I can save at least $500 a year by using a food saver. Not only do I not have to eat all of our garden fresh (we could freeze the veggies) I can start buying bulk meat with out fear of losing it!
I would probably save over $500 a year! I would freeze everything I could!!!
Hi, I have been throwing away a lot of food. I have 2 boys 2 and 3 year old that don’t always eat what I cook. I also have a husband that doesn’t like left overs. I just threw away 5 containers of food from my refrigerator and at least 3 bags from the freezer. Frankly, I’m so tired of it that I’m refusing to cook at all. My husband works 2 jobs so I have to try to make 2 different kinds of meals for him. I think it will also help my in-laws as well. My mother in law loves to buy in bulk and we both can benefit from it. Thanks!
I think I could save 1200 dollars by having this food saver!
My husband travels each and every week. We eat such small meals and usually end up losing the remaining portion of food to the elements. Would love to be able to save and split up my meals UsIng the AWESOME FOODSAVER Vacuum!!!!!!! The savings could be in the hundreds af dollars and I would love to give you specific numbers IF I HAD ONE : )))))
I don’t know how much I would save but I sure would like to see how much…maybe I’ll even document it if they asked me :)
I think I could easily save over $800 dollars a year with one of those.
I’ve been eying one for a looong time, but sadly my nursing school books
and tuition take precedence :( Hah.
Oh, and I liked them on facebook! :D
I could save $2000 easily! I am constantly throwing food away!
I could save $2000 easily! I am constantly throwing food away!
I would save a large amount of money with one of these. I buy in bulk becasue its cheaper and sometimes lose some of my meats from freezer burn. I even try to remove the air from my freezer bags with a straw, which does work some. I cant afford to buy on of these so to receive one free would be the greatest.
I would love to have one. I am just starting to get into freezing more. I have seen them demonstrated with the jar sealer accessory. I would save a lot of money sealing dry goods as well as freezing with the humidity
in FL. Southern Savers thanks for a chance for an awesome food saving product!
I could save at least a thousand dollars a year by saving leftovers into easy to freeze portions with this. Love it!
I could save at least a thousand dollars a year by saving leftovers into easy to freeze portions with this. Love it!
We just lost an income because my wife is staying home with our new son. We’ve been rockin’ the Dave Ramsey baby steps and finally snowballed out way out of debt (not counting the house) and onto a cash only system just before his birth. Southern Savers has really helped us stretch our ever dwindling budget. I’ve been checking Craig’s List and eBay for a FoodSaver brand vacuum sealer and have been hesitant to spend the money just yet. I believe we could conservatively save $400 on our food budget. I’m hoping to take on some additional side work to pick up enough cash to buy one. Winning a free one would be such a blessing.
Thanks for the great site!
I can see it saving hundreds over a year!!
I liked Foodsaver on FB
i am sure i can save hundreds in a year!
I think I could save HOURS of time since I could prep and seal whole meals ahead of time! As a household of just two, sometimes it seems like such a waste to put together a whole meal for two lousy servings. I would love to make a recipe that feeds 6-8 and seal the overage for later!
I could save $1,000 a year using a food saver
I could save $1,000 a year using a food saver
Probably much more than I think. I am going to say at least $1000. I am getting ready to go to nursing school, so I am trying to conserve and stock up. Thanks for all your tips.
I believe I could save hundreds of dollars. We grow our own garden and the Food Saver would help me freeze those veggies so I could have them during the winter instead of having to buy can goods.
This is an item I have considered purchasing often….have not yet, but would love to have!
We have a food saver and LOVE it. We save hundreds of dollars a year. I would love to give this as a gift. Thanks for being brave!
I have a special needs child and when I find foods that she can eat and likes I try to get many. Using a food saver would help me to put them in sizes that she can eat. I know this would help us to save hundreds of dollars
I believe I could save hundreds of dollars a year. We grow a garden every year and I could freeze all those veggies with the FoodSaver and not have to buy can goods in the winter.
I think I would save food from freezer burn, and have fun doing it!
I think my family could save hundreds of dollars a year by buying in bulk without the worry of freezer burn.
I
would love to have one. I am just starting to get into freezing more. I

Sure would save a bundle with that, with a family of 4 it could mean an easily 1000.00 a year.
Wow! I have wanted one of these for a really long time because I know I could save HUNDREDS of dollars every year just from not throwing meat away that is freezer burned, and I could really stock pile my meat when it goes on sale!!!!
I’m like you. I buy meat and veggies on sale only to have to throw them away due to freezer burn or rot due to air coming in contact with them. I just hate throwing money away like that. I think a food saver could easily save our family $1000 or more a year. Thanks for the chance to win one! That would be awesome!
I think on average I can save around $400-$500 per year. :)
I could save about $500 a year!
I could save about $500 a year!
I think I’ll be able to save upwards of $800 or so with this Foodsaver!
Knowing what I throw away due to freezer burn, I’d say about $600 a year, maybe more.
I do my best to not throw away meat or vegies, but their are times when they go bad. I believe I could save around $600.00 per year with food saver.

We save a ton of $ each year. We tend to bbq almost year round here in Southern California, I love having my freezer filled with meat…. it makes dinner so easy!
I would love one for my family. I am new to coupling and stockpiling. I think the system would ultimately save hundreds of dollars per year.
I think I could save about $800 a year with this foodsaver
I have wanted a food saver for quite some time now. I have seen many of my friends save massive amounts of money by using theirs not only for food storage but also for practical purposes. I am quite confident that I would be able to save my household well over $1,000.00 anually using the food saver because I live in a typically warm climate in an upstairs unit and have lost quite a lot of money this summer alone because of food spoilage. Thank you so much for this wonderful opportunity.
Oh, only about a bajillion dollars! I would LOVE to win this FoodSaver!!
I definitely think I could save about $2000 a year! It’s so sad to buy the amount of meat and produce I do and then throw a lot of it away :(
As a single mother i try my hardest not to let anything go to waste so I feel the foodsaver would be a blessing and would help me save about at least one thousand a year. Lord i hope i get this i need it!!!!!!!!!!
I could save $hundreds, I am sure, because I could take better advantage of buying the super sized family packs of meats when they go on sale. I would use the Food Saver to quickly break down those huge packages into meal-sized bags for the freezer. Also, this kind of seal would last longer in the freezer than the usual way I wrap frozen foods!
I’ve been wanting one for awhile now. Buying in bulk would help us out so much….well even though we have 7 kids to feed not alot of leftovers but…every little bit helps a bunch!
I would probably save overf $1000 a year if I had one….so cool!
I like FoodSaver on Facebook
I think I could save at least $200 using a Food Saver.
I have wanted a Food Saver for a long time, but recently find that it is a need more than a want. Between having to save money and still prepare reasonably healthy food for someone who’s job takes them away from home all week, and caring for an elderly father with medical problems (who changes what he will eat from day to day with no notice) I could probably save 40% on my grocery expenses. Having to purchase individual size servings are more than twice as much as buying in normal or bulk size. The food that gets wasted because Dad has changed his mind could be frozen until he wants it, if I could keep it from get getting dry and freezer burnt. Then there is the seasonal food I freeze every year (that does not stay sealed tight no matter how much air I remove when closing it), and of course, the meat bought on sale that becomes unrecognizeable and does not make it to the table. I do not know how the winner is picked but I am sure hoping and praying it is me this time!!! It would be the first time I have won anything.
Well I already don’t throw away much of anything, but I think it would improve the quality of my frozen fresh from the garden food. I currently use zipper bags and you can really tell when you eat the “old” stuff.
Should easily be able to save $200 in thrown away food. I’ve always wanted one of these. Would love to win
i always asked santa for one but never got it:-( I would love to have a FoodSaver, it would help us save tons of money. we always buy our meat in big family packs to put them in freezer bags but always end up throwing away a lot of them cause freezer burn or unpleasant taste. so yeah it will help us a lot! i’ll keep my fingers crossed:-)
Interesting you should post this. My husband and I have been discussing investing in a Food Saver and have been researching which model and prices. Could save hundreds of dollars with one.
ooh, i want one of these! i’m not sure how much we’d save since i don’t buy much now because i don’t want to loose it, but i’m sure we’d save some because i’d buy even more when the sales hit, knowing that i could store it properly. I’ll put a ballpark out of around $200-300 a year.
liked ’em on facebook too :)

I have been a client for years. We are on our second one. There is no better way to save your family money that with a food saver. I have recommended them to several of my friends and they have purchased them for their family. I buy family packs of meat and vaccum seal them into the portions that I need for later use. I cried when my first one died. It has also been great for putting up the summer garden.
I would love to have a food saver can’t afford to buy one though and I buy my meats in bulk when I can and I’m sure this would work much better than freezer bags.

I have wanted a Food Saver for a long time, but recently it seems to be a need rather than a want. I think I could save 25 to 35 percent on our grocery expenses. Thank you for the opportunity!

I bet it would add up quickly – maybe even $250!

In April our power was out for 4 days because of the tornados. Some of our freezer food would have lasted a lot longer if it was sealed this way. Luckily someone with a generator took our freezer, but we still lost some things. I think we would save $100 in a year.
I would love to have a food saver can’t afford to buy one though. I buy my meats in bulk, seperate and put into freezer bags. I’m sure this would work better than freezer bags.Thank YOu
I could save over 400.00 a year easily, for my family of four i try to buy meat when i can find the best deals, but it seems no matter how hard i try to keep it from frezzer burn, that i end up throwing away a lot of it. I try my hardest to rotate the meat out so i dont waste quit as much but its very difficult. My husband and i have wanted one for a while but they are just way above our budget at the moment. This is a great contest you are offering. I love southern savers .
I bet my family could save about 250 a year!
I bet I would save a TON purchasing in season fruits and veggies and canning them. And a stock up on delicious bacon @ $2.00/lb… tons I tell ya’.
I like FoodSaver on FB.
I would love to have a foodsaver to use for my meats and other foods I’m sure it would work better than freezer bags the products I’m using now.
Well I bet I would save at least $1500/yr in meat alone!
I would say we would save AT LEAST 400.00 a year. We always throw away ALOT due to freezer burn. I hate having to waste food! :( A foodsaver would be a blessing! I did like them on FB btw.
Boy thats a hard question, but I get it will be several hundred dollars – so I’ll say $200
I could save tons of money on just meat alone, so much gets tossed because it slips to the bottome of the freezer and by the time you find it, its freezer burned.
I can save hundreds of dollars on freezer bags that mostly leave freezer burns on my food. I usually buy in bulk and need to freeze meat and vegetables. This would be great

What great timing, I’ve been wanting one of this!
What great timing, I’ve really been wanting one of these!
We’d save hundreds per year on meat and it would stay so much fresher!
I “liked” them on FB!
My husband and I just recently went thru our budget and how mush money we are throwing away because of freezer burn and expiration and it worked out to almost $100.00 every month, this system would save me a minimum of $1200.00 per year, more than likely much more because I could also take advantage of bulk buying.
I would save so much by being able to stock up on meat when it is at a grat price! Hundreds of dollars, I would guess.
I like foodsaver on FB
I think I would save a considerable amount of money! And EVERY little bit adds up these days!!!!
I can save hundreds because I can buy meat on sale and freeze it, and then next time aorund when it is on sale i can do it again and then I can build a nice stock pile! :)
We would save hundreds each year by being able to stock up!
I liked foodsaver on FB.
1500.00
I believe it would save hundreds of dollars a year!
We would save a lot of money with the “Food Saver”!!! It kills me when I have to get rid of things because they have been in the fridge/freezer to long. Hope I win!!!!!
gosh I could probably save $500 by using it
I’m sure I could save several hundred dollars a year with this, just in fresh produce that goes bad before we get the chance to use it all. How awesome would it be to win this;I’ve been wanting to try one for quite some time.
I also liked FoodSaver on Facebook and left a comment.
Thanks!
I would save between 3 and 4 hundred dollars a year!
I would probably save about $1000 per year if not more! I buy discount produce that is on sale because it is on the verge of being “too ripe, cut it up and freeze it, I also do this with herbs and cheeses I buy the bricks when there are coupons and shred and slice it myself and freeze it. This will also work great for pancakes and waffles that I pre make and freeze (cheaper to use mix and do this then buy frozen). Hubby and the kids go fishing alot too so this will help us be able to save what they catch better.
I have to say we love the FoodSaver brand! I know for a fact that I could save hundreds if not thousands of dollars a year because we would vacuum seal a huge portion of the produce from our farm, as well as fish, and wild game my husband hunts. I almost never buy meat from a store, unless there is just an extremely good deal.
I too liked and commented on the Foodsaver Facebook page. Thanks so much for this opportunity Jenny!

I would at least save a few hundred ($200-$300) a year. I am constantly having to throw out veggies it seems because they just don’t stay good as long as I’d like in freezer bags.
Love the foodsaver! We have an older model and use it all the time and save tons of money! We mostly will buy meat in bulk and freeze it, that way we’re not paying loads in smaller packages! We’ve also used it by making sauces, cassaroles, meals ahead of time and freezing them for easy re-heats! Love them!
I “like” Foodsaver on Facebook!
probably a few hundred dollars. I always buy meat in bulk and freeze
At least $500 a year, I am notorious for freezing everything and have ALWAYS wanted one!
I would love to save all that meat and not have freezer burn to worry about. I could prob save about $200/yr I am guessing.
I have never used anything like this before but with a family of 3 sons, I do buy alot of groceries! I imagine I could save $1500 a year. No throwing out food and I can buy in bulk because I can seal it up! PLEASE PICK MY FAMILY!
I would save about half of what i spend on meat. I put it in the freezer and I put things on top and when i find it . Freezer burn. about $250
Buying in bulk is something I have always done for savings. Much of this meat is also lost to freezer burn. Having this foodsaver would probably save us at least $650 a year.
I think I could save at least $300 per year….maybe more once I learned how to really get the most use from it!
i had a food saver, it was great i move to puerto rico and i used it all the time with my tropical vegtables and fruits, but it broke and i would love to win this one i recomented to nay one.

I can save alot on Applesauce alone :0)
Like on FB :0)
I know I can save several hundred dollars a month. My family is constantly leaving bags of chips, cookies, and many other products open and they get stale, so I have to throw them away. Using the Food Saver I can seal up products and keep them fresh and use them all.
at least $1500.00!
Oh I think we could save probably 50 bucks a month…. $#500 a year!!!! Bags never get closed in my house!
I am sure I’d save upwardds of $200 with the foodsaver by not throwing out frozen veggies and meats.
Oh my, I could save tons! I have always wanted one!
Since buying meat in bulk and freezing it can cost around $100 or more a month, then I say I could save over $100 a month and over $1200 a year.
Since buying meat in bulk and then freezing it can cost $100 or more a month, then I believe I can save over $100 a month and over $1200 a year.
I reckon I could save about $250 per year by buying in bulk and by freezing leftovers
Since I have a home garden, and a grocery stockpile I think I could add better than $1000.00 a year to our grocery savings. I used to buy bulk meats and freeze them but we threw so much of it away because it lost quality in the freezer. I would love to take advantage of those savings and actually be able to use the meat.
At least $100 per month. I’ve always wanted to try one. Thanks for the chance tp win one!
I love the Foodsaver! I know I could save at least $150 if not more:)
I think I could save hundreds of dollars by using a food saver. I like to buy in bulk when the price is right but if you don’t have a good way of storing it you just end up wasting your money to freezer burn.
I love the FoodSaver!! I could save over $150 per month:)

I could save over 150 dollars! I love the vacuum packaging:)
In a year? I could easily save $500. Not only do I try to freeze raw meats, seasonal fruits and veggies, but I freeze leftovers from pot roast and cooked veggies to make soups and stews!
I have wanted one of these for years now! I believe I could save $900-1200 a year based on the ability to buy in bulk and less waste from freezer burn. Thank Jenny!!!
I bet I could save up to $100 a year with this baby.
I’m guessing I could save hundreds. I love to buy in bulk when there is a sale. This sound like it would be a great product to have.
I could save well over $300 if i had one of these! I love to buy in bulk even with just the 3 of us here!
I think I would save at least $700…would love to have one.
I think I would save about $500 dollars.

I would say in a year I could save about $500. This would be great to also freeze my veggies from the garden.
I’ve always wanted a foodsaver. I think that I could save at least $3,000 per year just by not throwing food away.
I think that I could save around $3,000 per year with the food saver.
We could probably save at least $750 a year! Buying in bulk is the way to go nowadays!
I like food saver on FB!
I have one of the older units. I buy meat on sale and freeze for quick and easy meals. Would love to have the supplies.
I know I could save alot with a new food saver. If I had to guess, I would say $1000 a yr.
I would save atleast $25 a week – – – I always end up throwing away lots of food I have let spoil. Also, I would save by buying meats at the lowest price and then using the FoodSaver to freeze them.
I believe I could save $500 easy. I really want this so I can stop throwing away food. Now that there are only two of us it is hard to take advantage of really good deals and use the food before it gets freezer burn.
My husband and I are about to buy 1/2 of a beef to put in the freezer. This would really come in handy and help the meat keep longer in the freezer than using just a regular freezer bag. Since I lost my job a year ago, we are trying to save every way we can.
I know that I would save a bundle that would have to be in the range of at least $2000!
My eldest son has just went off to college and doesn’t havea meal plan. So I packed him up with a mini freezer full of meals (in containers). This would save me so much space and give him more than a months supply of meals with the additional room. And he doesn’t have to miss my cooking. lol
2 Adults + 4 Teenagers = A tremendous amount of $
I think I can save 1000 dollars a year with this product!
I think I can save 1000 dollars a year with this product!
I think I could save hundreds of dollars a year, especially on meat. I tend not to buy in bulk because there are just two of us, but if I had a vacuum sealer, I could buy larger quantities and it would last us longer.
I think I could save hundreds of dollars a year! I usually don’t buy in bulk, especially meat, because it’s just two of us. This would help us be able to put up meat and have it last longer.
I think I can expect to save at least $2,000 with this product over the span of a year. My eldest son has just left for college and doesn’t have a meal plan. I sent him with a mini freezer loaded with meals I made but used containers. Just using the foodsaver for this purpose would be a snap as I could load the freezer with even more meals! And that is not including the use I would get for the rest of the family.
With a growing family this would be great to help save same extra money on the growing food bill! I think this would save 200-300 dollars a year!
I think my family of 5 would save $2,000. I have really wanted one of these to help keep our frozen food frost free. Also our cheese and many other things would be fresh.
I think as a family of four we could save about $400-$500 a year.
I may be able to save at least a few hundred dollars a year.
I should be able to save at least $500 per year with one of these and have always wanted one!
we are a small family but i think we’d save a couple hundred with the foodsaver… we end up throw too much stuff away because of freezer burn
I would hope several hundred dollars. As a newlywed, I am trying to save everywhere I can.
we have a small family, but I still think we would save a couple hundred… we throw away too much stuff from freezer burn
We have a huge garden and freeze most of our vegetables, and process most of our meat. This food saver would be a wonderful asset to our house. I think it could save us at least $500.00 a year. Thanks!
We have been using our food saver for years and LOVE it since we buy our meat in bulk. Like you, our meat always got freezer burn and this has saved hundreds of dollars per year. I do use the cheaper bags for things that won’t go bad, dry goods, etc., but for freezing and marinating this can’t be beat! I use the one quart container for brown sugar and it keeps it very soft.
I could save at least $1000 per year. I like to make my family ready made meals so they can have a decent dinner on the nights I work late. No fast food!
I’ve been trying to figure out how to store meals with freezer cooking. I could save a lot of time and hundreds of dollars!
This would not just save me money, but also space in my freezer. I would love it!
I think I could save a few hundred dollars. I have a large freezer in my garage that I would love to stock with meat.
This would help not only in my home but in my parents also…I could buy a large package of meat and repackage it so I could shear it with them…there for saving us both…
We could save several hundred dollars. I love to buy meat on sale and pack it away in the freezer for later use. My mother had an older version foodsaver and she used it all the time to store garden vegetables in the freezer.
So bad at estimating…my guess is a savings of around $500 or so.
as much as our 3 boys will let us,usually they devour most of our budget as fast as we lay in the food!
With a family of 8, I can’t even image the amount we could save buy buying in bulk and vacuum sealing everything into meal-size portions.
My savings would be in the 100’s! With a family of 6 I am so sick of throwing food away due to freezer burn!!
I’m sure my family would easily save a TON!!!!!! I would love the chance to give it a shot and report back how much I save!!!!
I would be saving at least several hundred a year by buying in bulk and sealing in portions that would feed the 3 of us.

I think my wife and i could save at least $400/yr not having to throw out freezer burnt food. Plus maybe it could save some space and i could reinstall the ice maker i had to take out to make room for our hauls.

We could probably save $300-$400 dollars a year by buying lots of meat when it’s on sale, then using them to make them last longer. I usually don’t buy too much even if it’s on sale because it’s just the two of us and it takes us longer to go through food.
I don’t know the dollar amount but I know it could be significant. I’d guess a few hundred a year.
I plan to start buying meat in bulk and freezing. I also throw away a TON of fresh produce! :( I think i could save $75/month, or $900 annually!
I am the freezer queen. I purchase a whole round roast, have half made into ground round and the rest into roasts. I could save around $2000.00, just being able to buy more meat in bulk. I have always wanted one of these, but have never been able to afford one. Thank you for the opportunity.
I am the freezer queen. I purchase whole round roasts for $1.59 lb. I have half made into ground round and the other half cut as roasts. I think I could save around $1000.00 a year. I have always wanted one of these, but have never been able to afford it. Thank you for the oppurtunity to win one.
I think I can save $276.54? :)
wow I think I’d save more than $500. I love to buy family size meat and split them. I would love this!
I could save around $200 a month. To think of all the possibilities…freezing make ahead meals, lunches, meats, veggies….too exciting
Our family of two could probably save $300.00 – $400.00 a year. I love buying in bulk, not just meat, vegetables too.
I didn’t know how much money saving was possible until i read the other posts…i say $200 a year
OMG I have used foodsavers for years! I’ve been looking to replace the one that I burned out last year. I vacuum pack everything from stuff from my garden to leftovers. NOTHING goes to waste at my house. I hate wasting money on food. Don’t you?
I can save at least 200-400 dollars a year with this by buying things in bulk and packaging it.

OMG I have owned a Foodsaver for years. Mine just died. I save hundreds each year. I vacuum pack everything from stuff from the garden, leftovers to fruit and veggies sitting on the counter not getting eaten. I’m lost without mine right now!

We bought one of these about 11 years ago and its on its very last leg. I dont know how much we saved but Im guessing hundreds. I LOVE this machine. It works well to store food.
With a family of 6, at least $500 per year. I put EVERYTHING in zip locks so this would help me ALOT
I’m sure I could save hundreds of dollars in a year by using a FoodSaver. I’ve always wanted one! I liked FoodSaver on Facebook as well.
We could save a few hundred dollars for sure, this would make packaging meats and other foods so much easier and would save foods from freezer burn. Would love to win!

I buy alot for items in bulk so my family of four (3boys) could easily save over $2000 or more just on meat!!
I would love to have one of these. I have 5 children and always buy bulk meats and break them down to freeze for meals. I also do u-picks and stock up on whatever is in season to blanch and freeze. I bet I could save at least $1000 in a year using the foodsaver system.
I hope to save more than $500.00 per year when I win this. Thanks for sharing, Jenny.

I can just picture myself using this foodsaver! its gonna suck if I don’t win!
Oh goodness, you don’t even know & probably don’t either. My husband & I are both retired and living on a slim fixed budget. We have 3 young people (2 college students & 1 related) living in our home as our way of trying to help them. I have a fridge full of leftovers for them to eat on the run, they buy food deals & eat off them for the week or they will buy food deals & attempt to keep them as long as they are editable. The fridge is full of paper bags, plastic bags, cartons … all with different names in an attempt to keep the other from eating their food! I can’t win this fast enough … it would eliminate the bulky packaging, spoiling of food, clear labeling and maybe a little room for my own food items!!! I like to buy sale’s or bulk but there is never room. Pick me, Pick me!!!!
Oh my goodness, you have no idea!!! My husband & I are retired, living on a narrow fixed income. We have opened our home to 3 college students as a way of helping them financially. I make extra at meal time, keeping leftover’s for them to eat thru the week. They will also buy food deals to eat on the run. The fridge is always full of bags, plastic containers & cartons, all labeled with their names. I would love to take advantage of sale & bulk items but there is never room for me. It would so elimate clutter & labeling issues and elimate the kitchen battleground it has become! Pick me, pick me … please pick me!!!
Just this last week with the B1G1 meats I saved about $30 in meat, but that means I have about $60 worth of meat that has to be eaten within a month or two because without a nifty gadget like a food saver I am stuck with the bags and the increased risk of freezer burn. I would say $200 – $500 is a healthy guess of how much we could save yearly. With two little ones in the house and a single household income this would be awesome for our family!
I have always wanted to try a FoodSaver but have never been able to afford one. I would hope to save at least $500 or more!
I can and freeze veggies and fruits in summer…but the freezer foods tend to “burn”, if this works then I am having fresh all year long! Plus I could buy chicken and fish while on sale and not have to gobble it up in 6 weeks. Thanks for everything Jenny!
What a great giveaway!! By cutting out freezer burn, I think I could easily save $500. I have alway wanted to try a FoodSaver! Thanks!!
I LOVE food savers products! I have a very old model that is needing to be replaced and this would be perfect. I hope to win!!! It already saves me tons of money each year … we fish and hunt and I seal all of the meat in it … keeps fish perfect for months.
I follow foodsaver on FB too!
Goodness…. Money saved wouldn’t be the half of it. The heartache (or maybe heartburn?) saved would totally be worth it! I throw out so much due to, well… me being lazy. First In First Out doesn’t always work in my lil chest freezer so that layer of mystery stuff at the bottom that I periodically chunk is probably worth at least a couple of $100 bills a year… maybe even more!
I’m like you, I have no idea how much money I could save but I would LOVE to try one !
I’m not sure but I think I would save hundreds of dollars per year. Its so disapointing to make a budget go shopping and think that your saving all this money with all the great deals you found only to have to end up throwing away a good portion of what you put in the freezer because of freezer burn. My family and I would be so happy no more bad tastes from stuff that I didn’t think was bad enough to throw out.oops. I would love to try the food saver it will probably be a life saver or at least a time saver.
This is a great give away! My brother is getting married in November & his fiance has been wanting one of these for a long time. It was be so great if I won this!!
i love buying in bulk and trimming, marinating and freezing meat to save money and time so this would be great. saving on the meat would be 100’s saving on the time preparing meals priceless…
Oh this would be EXCELLENT to have.
I think I could save at least $300 a year with a Foodsaver.
Jenny,
I’ve had the older model for years – first bought it when my husband brought home a truckload of corn that needed to be blanched and frozen. Later found it useful when my 3rd child was born. Made our own babyfood and froze it! Today our foodsaver gets plenty of use because my husband the fisherman, seems to need to stock a freezer full of his catches, and (maybe it’s wishful thinking) but my foodsaver seems to cut down on the fishy odor! Anyone who gets this will love this product!
We save hundreds of dollars by using our food saver. We like to buy meats and things we can freeze and use later. We are on our 2nd food saver and we need to go purchase a new one because we tend to us it so much we wear them out. It would be great to win a food saver to replace my old one. Thanks
I could probably save at least $100
My roommate and I try to buy in bulk because it is SO much cheaper (and we are poor college students), but our freezer is a little on the small side. We package things to freeze in ziploc bags or tupperware containers and everything usually ends up getting freezer-burn.
If we had a Foodsaver, I am guessing we could probably save $500-$1,000 a year…in freeing up more freezer space we could buy more things in bulk AND wouldn’t have to constantly throw out food that has gone bad!
I will love to win this one, I’m really need it.
I know we could save at least $500.00 plus a year with a foodsaver, with the produce and being able to buy more meats in bulk would be awesome. I have asked for a food vacuum sealer for christmas several times and have never received one!?
the foodsaver vacuum system would allow me to process my own wild game and fish at home.i usually kill 3-6 deer annually and spending on average $125.00-$150.00 per deer plus the fish.usually i am able to catch 60-100 lbs of catfish between may and november usually end up throwing 40% out due to freezer burn.would use the foodsaver alot and get the kids involved in doing this also, why should i have all the fun.

I could save about $200 a year being able to buy meat when its on sale and freezing
liked foodsaver!!
We are a family of five, so I am guessing we could save $300 a year or more. What I’d really be looking forward to is the improved quality of frozen food. I’m getting ready to like you on FB :)

Never realize how much stuff you could use this for, saw a blog where a lady vacuum sealed mason jars of lettuce for lunch! If that’s the case I could easily save $100/year between taking my lunch more often and not throwing away bad lettuce.
Love mine, but it is a hand me down and is hard to work. Would LOVE a new one. I like FOODSAVER on facebook.
I now use just regular ziploc bags, so without the freezer burn we could save hundreds. I would love this!!
my husband and I are retired and live out of town so we shop once a week and I find it hard to shop for 2 because food goes bad sooo fast. With the Food Saver I would be able to buy in bulk or even small amounts and not have to worry about freezer burn or the cookies getting stale or cheese getting moldy! Also, with the jar sealer I could prevent insects from getting in my grains! I could save ALOT on our food bills!
Probably around $100.
My husband and I are retired and live out of town so we shop once a week. It’s hard enough to shop for 2 but even harder to keep food from going bad, getting freezer burn, getting stale. With the Food Saver I could buy in bulk and still prevent freezer burn, help keep the cheese from getting molding and the cookies from going stale. With the jar sealer I could keep insects out of my grains. Gosh, I could saver ALOT on our food bills.
Produce and meats are so expensive. My family could probably save over $500 a year with the FoodSaver.
I am an avid couponer….you have to do everything you can these days just to stay ahead. I was never one to freeze meats…..but when its on sale and I have coupons, I have to say…I do freeze meats now, however they must be cooked promptly for me to still enjoy. I had press and seal for the freezer….which I can no longer find that worked pretty well. But now that this product is not available I would totally enjoy a food saver!! Perhaps we wouldnt have to use meats so hurridly to enjoy their fullest flavor. I am the one that works 40+hrs a week and cooks dinner every evening. Eating out just doesn’t do food…well prepared justice.
I am and avid couponer..who can stay ahead without saving in every way possible? I work 40+hrs weekly and cook most every evening. I am not one to freeze but if its on sale and I have coupons I have settled on freezing. I had a stock of press and seal for the freezer but that has run out and is no longer available. I would love try foodsaver…think it would be 10x better than any freezing method available now or in the past. My family could save $$$ on grocery bills…and thats what it’s about these days!!!
Like many others, I imagine I would save several $100s, but what would even be more satisfy is to track how much money I saved!!
oh jeez do my boyfriend and I need this, he lets so much food go to waste and I am constantly trying to get good deals with coupons and such. This would help so much in making my shopping and saving more worthwhile!!!
I liked FoodSaver on Facebook!! Being a recent couponer and smart shopper, I have started to get the hang of buying what is on sale and building up my stockpile. I recently bought a large freezer for extra storage, and I am working on cooking only once a week for the entire week. I eventually want to get to one cooking day a month, but I know that will take some time. Baby steps… A FoodSaver would only help me in my efforts to be more aware of what I am spending my money on. It will also help me save even more because of the space I will free up and the food lasting longer. I would save hundreds!!
I just got married a year ago to the love of my life! Since we got married, I have thrown away so much meat that has gone bad from freezer burn. Ziplock bags just don’t do the job! I would love to win this FoodSaver so we can buy meat in bulk since its cheaper. I recently quit my job to go to school full time to be a Elementary school Teacher. This will help us a great deal to save money. I think we would save atleast $350 a year. That’s WONDERFUL savings! Thanks a bunch!!! -Alina
My family could save hundreds of dollars with a FoodSaver! I think it would be such a great way to save leftovers and keep food from being thrown out. Also, it would be a great way to give food to families in need!
I liked FoodSaver on facebook!
A year ago I married the love of my life! Since we have been married, I have thrown away so much meat that went bad because of freezer burn. Ziplock bags just don’t do the job! I quit my job recently to go to College full time for my Elementary Education degree. The FoodSaver will help us save a lot of money since its tight right now with one income coming in. We want to buy an extra freezer so we can start buying food in bulk because its cheaper. If we win the FoodSaver we can save over $300 a year! That’s a wonderful savings!!! Thanks a bunch! -Alina
$300, easy! Probably more – I’d be more apt to freeze things without the threat of freezer burn!
I have started really utilizing coupons on a regular basis since I discovered this wonderful website about 4 months ago and am finding that I am loving saving money! The FoodSaver would be just one more way for my family to save. I started freezing fresh product this summer even though we only had a small garden. We plan to have a much larger one next year and the FoodSaver would come in really handy. In addition, we are planning on buying our on cow/bull for beef and this would be great for storing beef once it’s processed. I imagine saving hundreds of dollars by using this versus the traditional freezer bags which as you say, allows our meet and produce to get freezer burn. We throw away a lot of food as well because of that very thing.
I bought an off brand food sealer a few years ago only to realize it could only be used with foods that had no moisture b/c it didn’t have a wet setting and would suck the moisture up into the machine if you used it on anything that wasn’t dry – what a waste of money. I think I could save several hundred dollars a year if I could use a Foodsaver to make space saving (I don’t have a deep freeze and am always short on freezer space) as well as easy to transport and reheat portions of food/meat instead of buying frozen dinners to take to work plus I could also stock up on meat when it is on sale!
I also liked foodsaver on facebook!
I think we could save probably $500 or more a year. We had one as a family growing up and my mom used it for everything. Even our toilet paper when we went camping/hiking so it wouldn’t get wet. It was something I would love to own now because it would help us so much with food storage. Thanks for a GREAT giveaway!
like foodsaver on FB. Thanks!
We could save $400- $500 a year, easily! I would love to buy meat in bulk and produce in season and freeze it for future use. We are always throwing out meat that we put in the freezer, because of freezer burn. A Food Saver would really help out!
I could probably save about $500.00 a year and would love to try one of these out!
I could save over $500.00 a year by having one of these wonderful gadgets!
I’d probably save a couple hundred dollars.
I’d probably save about $130 a year, but only so low because I get such good deals.
I could save several hundreds of dollars using a FoodSaver. I love to cook big meals then put half in the freezer to use later in the month. I also have a garden and fruit trees. I could freeze the fruit without freezer burn. I use frozen fruit to make homemade smoothies.
I want this! I want this! I want this!!!!!!! We are awful about buying cheap-o freezer bags and then our meats REALLY get the burn (more so than if we would have paid for the high dollar bags). I could save HUNDREDS a year with this unit. HUNDREDS and HUNDREDS!!!!
My wife would love this!!! She has always wanted one but won’t buy one without a coupon :) Her bday is in the next two weeks and would be a super fun surprise for her. We could save probably close to 1k since 1) we wouldn’t throw away half of what we freeze 2) all the new foods we can buy on sale and freeze without worrying about the burning 3) stock up on steaks and chops and seal them up to enjoy for months and months
I know that I would save thousands a year! I toss so much meat because the regular freezer bags just don’t keep meat like they say they will. I think I would be vacuum sealing everything, not just meat. Even my veggies that come frozen!
I “liked” food saver on facebook
I think I could save at least $200 a year in meat that wouldn’t be freezer burnt!

I cannot calculate the amount, but it has to be hundreds of dollars. My savings would come from food lasting longer.

I think I could save about 50% of what I buy. Usually if the food looks freezer burnt my hubby won’t eat it. And we have to throw out a lot of vegs b/c they get all nasty in the freezer.
“One Million Dollars!” ….Would be nice, but W/ the food saver probably be saving hundreds…And that is worth a million to me.
I could save tons of money. I have always wanted one of these. I have tons in my freezer right now that could be sealed. Thanks for everything!!
i know I would save hundreds of dollars if I had a Foodsaver. I am very funny about my food and if it has even a bit of frost or weird color or smell I toss it and I freezer cook!!
Thanks
I have 3 boys ages 14 to 23, my husband and I have a sit down with them every night. I buy meat in bulk and freeze it. I know the food saver would be wonderful for me. Between freezer bags and freezer burn it would probably save me over $300.00 per year.

I think I would save about $200 a year. I hate when our meat gets freezer burn!
I liked FoodSaver on Facebook.
I would save at least $300+ a year by buying meat in bulk again. I stopped after our 2 sons moved away and only had to cook for the two of us. Using the FoodSaver I can not only save on the food as I purchase it but save again as I wouldn’t have to throw any away from being freezer burned!
I am fairly new to “couponing”. When I was younger, my Grandma and I used to clip coupons on Sunday afternoons when the “good” coupons came in the mail. I remember going to the store and saving a few dollars here and there. She always let me get a candy bar if we used my coupons and if the price came out the same (needless to say I always scoured for her favorites)! To me it was just a game we played, but as I grew up I realized how important saving a few dollars can be.
I come from a family of eight, my Mom and Dad along with my five sisters (you can feel bad for my dad anytime now), so when the economy took a hit, our grocery list did also. We never went to be hungry, but we also didn’t get to enjoy ice cream, or sometimes even cheese because it was to expensive. Meat was a staple in my house, as was fresh fruits and veggies, (something about protein and vitamins are good for you and carrots can make you see through walls….not true by the way), so when meat or produce went on sale my parents would stock up. We didn’t have a Food Saver growing up and boy do I wish we did! Freezer burnt chicken is not my forte and spoiled veggies is just a scent one can never forget!
It seemed like such a money saver to buy our meat on sale and stock up and freeze it, but we ended up tossing about half away because of the freezer burn, and same with the fresh produce and my beloved cheese.
I have to admit that I re-entered the world of frugal savings after watching one episode of TLC’s “Extreme Couponing”. I had seen some commercials for the show and told my fiance about it, we agreed to watch it and see what the hype was all about. WOW! Was what I had first thought! I didn’t know that one could save THAT much money! We saw how one lady walked out of a store with $600 worth of groceries and had only paid $1.26! Blew my mind straight through the clouds and I was dead set on following in her footsteps. That was until my fiance brought me back to reality by asking me put the laptop and car keys down and finish watching the show. We saw that sure she saved A LOT! But she also had to convert a bedroom into a pantry, and had purchased (well I guess couponed) 50 boxes of cake, when she already had a good two hundred in stock. She didn’t have a large family, but the thrill of the hunt and win was what had driven her to the store.
We had agreed to coupon together, but did set rules in place so that my guest bedroom would not turn into a miniature Sam’s Club and his house is off limits to bedroom/pantry conversions :) One of the main rules we have in place though is to donate food to our church’s food pantry whenever we go out on our “Bargaining Adventures”. When we see a great deal for any canned good or non perishable food item, we stock up. We are both blessed enough to have jobs, that although do not pay a kings ransom, they support our needs. We would like to help others who are not as fortunate as we are. Besides, there is no way I can eat 25 boxes of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. No matter how tempted I am to try!
We LOVED the Gogo Sqeez’s BOGO at Publix with the extra .75/1 coupon! The children love these things! I wanted to buy every single last one of them in the store because they came out to .49 a box, but the other rule we have in place is to be considerate of other shoppers/couponers. I know I would have been bummed if I walked into Publix to see someone walk out with all of the Gogo’s. (I did buy about 50 for myself. I had waited until the last day of the sale, about 10 minutes to store closing and asked for whatever they had left in stock…figured that was nice enough…Gogo’s applesauces are addicting!)
We work with the high schoolers and young adults in our community/church and we enjoy holding Sunday lunches/BBQ’s once a month for them. With our new commitment to couponing we were able to allow the kids bring over siblings and friends to enjoy a free lunch and fellowship. It is great being able to serve them healthy foods from the garden and “fun” treats, such as cupcakes (BOGO’s and .55/1 makes for a lot of smiles), chips, granola bars, Cheez It’s, and nuts. But we almost always end up running out of whatever meat we have on the menu that day. Luckily we do have a Publix right down the road when this happens, but it gets expensive buying extra for 20 hungry and growing kids. We have tried every type of Zip-Loc baggie to fend off the freezer burn, with no avail. Sometimes we get lucky and we find a great sale on meat a couple days before, but nine times out of ten, it always comes a few days after our lunches.
We are planning on having a special lunch around the holidays, and we are hoping to have steak and chicken for the boys (who have not so subtly hinted that they would just die if they had a t-bone or rib eye or whatever kind of cut a cow gives) and most of the girls being vegetarian just want fruits, veggies and a large variety of cheeses and crackers. I enjoy gardening and after giving away what veggies I can to friends and family, I try to freeze some for the holidays, but they just don’t quite thaw quite right and have the Zip-Loc plastic bag taste afterwards.
I would LOVE to have a Food Saver and the ability to keep food fresher for longer! I know we would save at least $1,500 to $2,000 a year on meat alone with this machine. Much more if I added in the produce and delicious cheese! I have been putting money away for a Food Saver, and a Magic Bullet (darn those informercials)! But even with the 10% off they are still out of my price range.
I am hoping that we win this Food Saver and if we don’t win this time, that maybe Santa still remembers where I live and would be so kind and leave it under my pillow. Yea, Christmas trees are WAY to expensive, even the plastic ones….maybe I can find a coupon for that! :)
I have always wanted a food saver. Regular freezer bags just don’t do the trick and I end up wasting too much food. Not only would I do away with the disappointment of spoiled, freezer burned food, but with a food saver, I calculated that I would save $523 a year plus the cost of time which equals man hours.
Would love one of these! I do most of the shopping, but hubby does the cooking. It is not unusual for food to get lost in the bottom of the freezer. I think we could save $300-$400 a year. I would be able to take advantage of more bulk sales b/c I wouldn’t worry about losing it later in the freezer.
I like FoodSaver on facebook!
i would be able to save a bunch of money. My husband deer hunts so with the foodsaver we could package our own meat and save a bundle…would be great to win…thanks for all the money saving tips because in this economy we need it..
i liked foodsaver on facebook….thanks
I think I would save about $100 a year. I want to keep the marninated meat fresh

I’ve liked Foodsave on facebook, and I think I would probably save a few hundred a year being able to buy meat in bulk. Ive had to throw away a lot of meat over the years due to freezer burn.
We try not to waste any food due to freezer burn, but of course we do. I would estimate between produce and meat for our family of five we can save at least $1000, wow is that a scary thing if we can save $1000 that means that right now I am throwing that much away!
I love to freeze meat & leftovers & at the beginning of fall & winter I love to take a day or two to make soups & then freeze them for the season… unfortunately, I do end up throwing out a lot of things due to freezer burn – its not only money lost but also time lost. I’ve never calculated my total cost of loss but I would estimate that I throw out around $20 of foods a month, easily… so maybe, $300ish a year – that makes me aggravated just thinking about it!! I could do SO MUCH with this, but have never been able to fit the cost into my budget.
I have a family of six. Other than myself, it is ALL boys. I am sure I could save at least $1000 with a Foodsaver.
Liked Foodsaver on facebook.
I could easily save hundreds of dollars. I just had to throw out about $30 worth of food today that went bad too soon :(

I’m not sure, but we’d probably save hundreds with a Food Saver.
Hundreds of dollars! I used to have a hand held vacuum sealer and now they don’t sell the bags anymore. This food saver would save me SO much money and time!

I would save THOUSANDS of dollars. I have been looking into a food sealer for a long time now, but haven’t purchased one because of money issues; this causes me to lose a lot of food to mold and other problems that come with time. I desperately need one of these.
I have a small family and would probably save a little over $100/yr.
$250 a year
I can’t begin to calculate the amount of money the FoodSaver sealer would save my family. My husband and I deer hunt for meat to feed three kids and we don’t waste any! The FoodSaver would ensure that our meat stays fresh year round and would eliminate the possibility of freezer burn which happens with traditional freezer bags. Thanks for your consideration!
We would save $500 or more we would love to have one of these. My mother-in-law has one and they say it is wounderful. We would love to be able to freeze our meat and summer vegtables in them so they wouldn’t get freezer burned. Thanks for this chance to enter this giveaway.
Let’s see….just in lettuce I could save about $75 in alone in year. Plus with all of the great deals on meat that are posted on Southern Savers, I could save ~$300. THen there are all of the leftovers that’s probably around $500 a year. So in total I would guess that I would be able to save $875 +/- $100 per year.
Would love to win. Thanks for the opportunity.
saveALOT!
This will help me freeze and conserve homemade baby food. I bet it could save me a few hundred easily!
