I lost my husband to colon cancer several years ago at the tender age of 40. My children were 17 and 12 at the time. Thankfully, we have had wonderful friends and neighbors that have stepped up to the plate and have served in a surrogate father role. Although both kids are grown now, they still remember the kindness and the love from these men, many of whom were their friends' Dad. Ever year on Father's Day my kids shower them with gifts of thanks! We have all been truly blessed.

My Dad would GO INSANE if he won the BBQ set! My family has never spent more than $100 on a new grill and for an early Father's Day gift this year, my Mom took him shopping and they spent $400 buying a well-deserved gas grill. I couldn’t believe it! I keep teasing him now that he has to accessorize like a “real man”. He has been through so much in the last year: lost his father, just cleaned out and sold his parents house (the only house they owned), his last brother’s cancer has moved into his lungs and blood then was determined to be untreatable, had to move 3.5 hours west for his job for the 2nd time (he works and lives separate from my Mom because he can’t find work at home…they try to see each other every weekend they can). He is a wonderful Dad who has always been there for me and my 2 sisters and I would love to give him such a cool gift.

Our budget does not support any gifts for each other this year so I have firm orders not to buy anything, but I am sure that he would appreciate one that I won instead! He has just found out that he is diabetic.. so unfortunately the cookies would not be a good idea for him.

My step-father loves chocolate chip cookies! Many years I have made them for him for his birthday or Father's Day. He wraps them up in pairs, puts them in the freezer, and gets out 2 a day. He has cancer now and is on dialysis, but still loves his cookies!

While my dad is no longer alive, my husband would love the BBQ set. He loves to grill out and to be honest, is pretty good at it! While the rest of the family would love the cookies, he's a severe diabetic and can't have sweets. So, since it is Father's Day, I would love to give him the basket and have it be from his 2 precious daughters.
My Dad taught me how to barbeque when I was pretty young… his BBQ'd chicken and Filet Mignon with Grilled Onion are still some of the best I have ever had. I believe he would like the BBQ set because he enjoys grilling out for his family and friends. He enjoys creating dishes for the grill and being the Master Chef! Got to luv him!

My dad would be excited about the BBQ grill set. He's always been an avid “grillmaster” and finding gifts can be challenging when you've felt like you've bought him everything! I never thought about putting his favorite products in a basket as a gift though. He would LOVE this… and I'd be the perfect daughter! :) jk!

MY dad would love either gift basket, honestly. However, I think he would love the sweets basket the most. He is a recent transplant patient and cannot cope without his sweeties. He gets grumpy when there is no cake or cookies around. Hes an amazing man and a gift idea would be perfect for him!
Well my dad has passed away….but my husband ls an amazlng father that loves to cook on the grlll!!!!He ls leavlng July 29 to go to the State trooper Academy for 19 weeks so l'm hoplng to make hls flrst father's day as a father extra speclal….he would love the bbq basket!!!
Good luck to your husband as he goes through the Academy. My husband is a Metro officer. It takes a special person to be able to do police work. I hope he does well. :)

10 years ago, he would have LOVED the BBQ Gift Basket, but since a stroke, his very athletic outdoor life has come to a halt….BUT he still LOVES his sweets!
