when you say cvs coupon.. is this just their advertised sale or is there an additional coupon i should be looking for?
November 21st, 2008 at 4:32 pm
The CVS coupons are all coupons that will print on your receipt with all your extra care bucks. I got most of these this week doing my battery deals.
November 21st, 2008 at 5:18 pm
I love you! You save me so much time and energy every week! I’m going to link to this post on my little blog.
November 22nd, 2008 at 11:36 am
HELp! I am new at this! What if I do not have those coupons from weeks ago?
November 22nd, 2008 at 7:34 pm
You can still buy everything you just won’t make as much money in the end. Buy items in groups that are about the same amount so that you can keep using the ECB’s from the previous transaction to pay for the next transaction.

Do you get the beauty book at CVS?
November 22nd, 2008 at 7:58 pm
I never get register coupons. Am I doing something wrong? I did 2 battery deals this week.
November 22nd, 2008 at 8:01 pm
I also could only use 1 $5/2 batteries. Even though I did 2 transactions, the register kept beeping it out. The manager said my first $5/2 coupon was posted with my cvs card and there is a 1 per customer limit. did anyone else have this problem?
November 22nd, 2008 at 9:11 pm
I did not get the register receipt coupons and I did the battery deals. Should I hand them my card when I walk in and see if I can get them to print. If not, is there any other way to get the coupons??
November 22nd, 2008 at 9:27 pm
If you just started CVSing I have heard that it takes about 3-4 weeks before coupons will start to print when you check out. You can always try getting them to scan it when you enter the store to see if you will get any before shopping. Also make sure you have registered your card on CVS’s website so that you are getting emailed coupons!!

Thanks for writing the deals up. I have paper clipped my coupons in 6 separate trans with your deals on the fron to keep me organized. I only hope that since I am going to a differnt CVS in another town everything goes smoothly
November 22nd, 2008 at 10:23 pm
I’m going to a new CVS too. I hope Tallahassee FL CVS’s are as nice as mine in SC!
November 23rd, 2008 at 12:38 pm
i will be starting my cvs journey on thanksgiving day..thanks for posting it from the beginning for us newbies……
November 23rd, 2008 at 2:10 pm
Where do you get the beauty book??
November 23rd, 2008 at 3:59 pm
The Beauty Book is sold in CVS for .99 cents. These come out every few months so you might not find any in your stores now. I have never gotten my hands on these coupons so I hope you have better luck. You can get them on ebay still but probably wouldn’t have them in time for this weeks sales. They expire 12/31.
November 23rd, 2008 at 8:21 pm
I’m amazed once again. Way to go with the deal scenerios!
November 24th, 2008 at 4:54 pm
I was just wondering if you do all of your transactions at once or do you go and get the things for the first transaction and then go back and get the things for the second, etc.
November 24th, 2008 at 4:57 pm
So I don’t lose things to people shopping behind me, I get everything in my buggy and then sort it into groups. I’ll check out at one time and if there is a line behind me I’ll finish a transaction and step to the beck of the line for next ones. It’s much faster to me to do all the shopping at one time and then all the checking out.
November 24th, 2008 at 9:36 pm
Are all the coupons from register coupons or do I need to cut them out of the paper some were?
November 24th, 2008 at 9:41 pm
Any blue colored coupon is a CVS coupon that is either a register or beauty book coupon all found/acquired at the store. The other red coupons are from newspaper inserts or printables. The SS means Smart Source insert, RP means Red Plum insert, so SS 9/21, is Smart Source Sept. 21st
November 25th, 2008 at 3:47 am
Jenny would you go ahead & use $10/50 coupon or would you wait for another deal. Thanks
November 25th, 2008 at 9:11 am
It depends on how many ECB’s I have starting out. I would probably do a few transactions and then do one big transaction at the end so that I could have the most ECB’s to use with it so that I wasn’t paying a lot out of pocket just to use a coupon.
November 25th, 2008 at 4:21 pm
Jenny,
Any chance CVS will start the THanksgiving sale a day early like they do on the weekends?
November 25th, 2008 at 4:48 pm
Oh I wish I knew that! The ad states that stores open at 8am and that it is a special 3 day sale. I’m treating it like the Sunday/Monday specials they run that really only work on those day. I will be there at 8am…
November 25th, 2008 at 11:00 pm
Jenni — Tallahasse CVS’s are very nice! I use the one in the Oak Valley Shopping Center on N. Monroe (there’s a publix next door too). Have a nice trip!
November 26th, 2008 at 12:00 am
jenny..on transaction #5 you say to ask to downgrade by a penny…can you please explain this….thx
November 26th, 2008 at 11:07 am
My BF ad says limit one on the Maybeline Mineral Power Foundation???
November 26th, 2008 at 12:58 pm
On Transaction #5, to use an ECB that is more than the value you are purchasing the register will not want to accept it, but the cashier can change your ECB value to be a penny less and it will take it with out a problem. Normally you don’t want to do this because you are losing money but in the case of a penny it is better to downgrade the ECB then to be forced to buy candy and spend more money.
November 26th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
The Maybelline Foundation might be advertised as limit 1 for Black Friday but it is really limit 2 because that is how it is advertised in the week long flyer.
November 26th, 2008 at 2:14 pm
i did the amx transaction the cards were $4 95 each still made 10 ebs
November 26th, 2008 at 4:12 pm
what is the amx transaction
November 26th, 2008 at 8:24 pm
It is part of the week long deals buy 3 Amex Cards and get $10 ECB. The cards have an activation fee of $3.95-6.95 each. They also only start at $25 I think so you have load them and pay the fee.
November 27th, 2008 at 6:10 pm
Jenny,
I couldn’t do all of your scenarios b/c I didn’t have all of the coupons but I did three carefully planned transactions this morning and got $70 worth of items for $.81 and I got $32 in ECB back!!! I did have a $10 gift card from MyPoints which helped:) but I couldn’t have done it without all of your matchups-thanks!!!!
November 28th, 2008 at 2:40 am
Jenny,
Heads Up, when I did my deals yesterday I discovered out of accident that the Schick Men’s razors were printing ECB’s for 2…. I had a BIGI coupon that I used to get the 2nd razor FREE and it printed 12 ECB, not 6, Happy Thanksgiving!!
